### "Automation and Compliance Without the Hassle"

The customer support team has always been responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had a question. On top of that, the platform itself has been extremely reliable—things just work as expected. That reliability has made my day-to-day work much easier and less stressful.

Pros

Kandji has completely simplified the way I manage our Apple devices. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes deploying apps, enforcing security policies, and keeping everything compliant straightforward. I’ve saved countless hours compared to our previous setup.

Cons

The inflexible licensing, being a cloud product it should be pretty easy for them to implement a pay as you need model.

Overall, Kandji is a powerful, modern MDM solution that greatly improves the experience of managing Apple fleets at scale. Once properly configured, it reduces overhead, ensures compliance, and gives IT teams confidence in their fleet security. Like any robust platform, there’s a learning curve and occasional edge-case hurdles (like firmware lock handling), but support and documentation are solid.

Pros

Pros: What did you like most about Kandji? Kandji makes Apple device management incredibly streamlined. The UI is clean, intuitive, and modern ,much better than older MDMs. Automated app patching and Blueprint management save tons of time. I also appreciate the visibility into device compliance and the ability to push critical configurations remotely. Customer support is responsive and knowledgeable.

Cons

Recovery Lock / EFI password management can cause issues when wiping or reassigning devices. While the feature is valuable for security, it can block erase operations unless removed ahead of time. This isn’t always clearly surfaced until after the erase fails. I’d like better automation or clearer pre-flight warnings for these cases.

I would say, the customer support, the ease of using, and the proper utilization for security makes it one of the best MDM till now. And one of an amazing thing is that they have now added Windows MDM.

Ease of use and the whole overview experience is amazing. The User interface and all the options makes it easier for the Admins.

Cons

I won't be able to say directly it's con, but throughout using from the beginning I can see they have developed alot.

I enjoy working with Kandji. Kandji Support team is also reliable and it is very helpful with all sorts of questions, on the spot.

Pros

Their customer support and documentation, which are reliable and detailed. The clean, intuitive interface that makes device management straightforward. The library of auto-apps.

Cons

I would love to have even more apps available on the Auto Apps list. Filtering can be even more granular, with more columns.

Great experience, very pleased with the product and have already recommended to others. Couldn't fault the product at all

Pros

Easy to set-up and get started. Incredibly simple yet effective, i was able to set up our instance within 1/2 days and ready to go live the following week after set up and testing.

Cons

The SSO configuration was the hardest bit to get started, this took most of my time but once set up everything else was simple.

### "My favorite MacOS MDM"

Very positive for the reasons I mentioned above. It's also pretty easy for our staff to pick up who have less MDM experience.

Pros

The UI has a very clean and intuitive design, which is also very easy and pleasant to use unlike other MDMs I've used in the past.

Cons

As a newer product, there are some features which are lacking maturity. Reporting and some advanced querying via the UI do not quite yet have parity with some of their more mature competitors. (Although I usually find it can be done via the API)

Cost, complexity, and JAMFs relative instability. We had devices constantly failing to connect to JAMF. In two years I think we've had only 1 or 2 devics which dropped off from Kandji and needed to be re-enrolled.

Was a Jamf shop for a long time and then Kandji came along and made everything better for us. This was huge around the time of Covid and allowed us to seamlessly move to a remote workforce.

Pros

Kandji is very simple to use and understand and the UI is very user friendly. This makes it far simpler for us to train people and for them to understand how to use the platform.

Cons

Not much I don't like about Kandji. It has helped us change the way we manage our Mac fleet. I would have said they didn't have some of the granular features that Jamf has but they have cured that.

It is easy to use. It is self-explanatory. Support is responsive and skilled. The support is possible during night time as well.

Cons

There's no feedback or communication about my feature requests. The price going up for long-standing clients instead going down and rewarding the loyalty.

Overall, both Iru's platform and customer support team are phenomenal. They have an intuitive UX and if you cant figure it out on your own, their customer support is highly responsive.

Pros

For someone who was getting acclimated to remote device management, the Iru platform and customer support, namely \[sensitive content hidden\] , made it extremely simple to learn and understand the platform.

Cons

It is not always clear when a task should be completed or executed in Iru v. Apple Business Manager.

Overall. I would score Kandji 6.5 out of 10. Ten being great/perfect! The UI is easy to navigate, and the new blueprint visual builder is friendly!

Pros

After administering similar solutions, Kandji is by far the easiest with a minimal learning curve!!!

Cons

Device management should encompass all types of devices, not just Apple. Security features need work. Cost is comparable to other solutions; however, it only supports Apple products.

Kandji is now a core tool for us. It's a pricing point, but we see the value in the cost associated with it.

Pros

We enjoy how intuitive the platform is to use. Support has been wonderful. I typically get someone who understands the platform in detail

Cons

I don't have much. There are small bugs along the way, which is to be expected in technology, but they are usually resolved within a reasonable amount of time.

We are very happy with them, especially the support experience is fast, efficient and professional which is the one of the most important factors for us.

Pros

Their customer support built in their service is fast and reliable plus the software is one of the best on the market especially considering their fair price.

Cons

Kandji comes with a lot of native available 3rd party application, and managing those can be very easy, but in a scalable environment it can get messy with their new assignment maps which give a good overview but as those are still missing a clear naming and structure capabilities this can cause issues

We have had a superb relationship with Kandji over the last few years. Having used other competitors (and their extremely convoluted interfaces), I can say that discovering Kandji changed our Apple MDM experience. They are simply the best.

Pros

Kandji is very powerful, highly customizable, and best of all, very easy to use! They are constantly adding features and making it a better product! It helps us manage and keep all of our 100+ devices (across 14 different locations) up to date. Their customer support is also highly responsive and easy to access.

Cons

Honestly, I cannot think of a single thing. Even the cost is reasonable, but hey, would be better if it was even less.

excellent product. Great support staff. Support turnaround time is incredible. Would love that more people knew about the amazing capabilities of it.

Pros

It's really intuitive, tailoring to my needs which change in some cases, every quarter. The support staff is incredible.

Cons

Cost is a bit higher, than competition. The support from products is more focused on JAMF. So industry knowledge of Kandji would be nice.

Kandji has made managing our Apple fleet a lot easier, quicker and a lot less painful. It takes away a lot of the manual faff and keeps devices compliant. It has been a solid and reliable tool for us.

Pros

It’s really easy to use compared to other MDMs we've tried. The setup and automation features save loads of time, especially with new builds and changes to the builds. The app library is a big plus and makes keeping things up to date painless. Support has also been quick and very helpful. The product develops and doesn't stands still.

Cons

Some of the more advanced settings are a bit limited, although this is improving. The reporting could be improved better. More flexible per device licensing would be helpful.

Pros

Easy to configure and deploy a mac fleet compared to competitors, and technical support is top tier. There is so much out-of-the-box. No more creating custom policies. What used to take days and weeks now takes minutes.

Cons

Cost has increased a bit, and I wish the EDR tools were most robust. Missing some of the advanced features provided by competitors, but that's the trade-off you have to accept in exchange for ease of use.

Our Customer Success Manager is easy to work with, and support is always available. I often receive a solution on the first attempt.

Pros

The service is very easy to use. Within a week, I had a basic overview of the instance, and within two weeks, I had something ready to deploy for migration

Cons

The only thing I like least about Iru is wanting to implement features that our other SaaS products offer, but being unable to because Iru doesn't support them—specifically, Dynamic SCEP, simplified PSSO setup, and account-driven user enrollment.

While we've been able to resolve most of our specific Kandji support issues internally, there have been a few occasions where we reached out—and each time, the support experience has been excellent.

Pros

So far, this MDM tool has been easy to use and user-friendly. Its asset management capabilities—especially around asset numbering, secure erasure, recovery, and overall system status monitoring—have been essential for our operations.

Cons

I wish EDR functionality were built into the tool rather than offered as a separate service. Additionally, clearer guidance on managing Supervised systems at a granular level would be helpful—such as enabling specific apps like Apple Notes or iCloud Drive for individual users who require them.

Pros

Keeps all of our approved applications easily deployable to all users. Customer service is top notch

Kandji has been a force multiplier for our IT team, allowing for very easy to manage workflows to perform Mac MDM. The platform has many applications that we need already available so it requires less time packaging new apps. The configuration profiles make setting up devices a breeze. Okta integrations make it easy to have fewer passwords.

Pros

The pre-configured templates and automatic app installs/upgrades have saved a lot of time as an administrator. I looked at another Mac MDM prior to purchasing Kandji and it was not a simple UI like Kandji. All the relevant settings are in one portal instead of three.

Cons

I have had a hard time making the transition from the classic blueprints to a new targeting method of installing software and configurations. Will take more time to review this with their engineering and support teams. Kandji Passport works well but unfortunately doesn't support some forms of MFA like Yubikeys as of my writing.

All from Testing > Building > Migrating > and now in full use, is a great experience. It has been so easy to use, you don't need to a pro to be able to use Kandji.

Pros

I love the Passport function and how they use Blueprints. Also right from initial testing their support was great, both using the chatbot but also they 24/7 customer support also.

Cons

Firstly it was that they did not have a Users tab, but after giving feedback they added the users tab.

Pros

Extremely easy and intuitive to use. With my role, I need something where I can basically set it and forget it, and Iru/Kandji has allowed me to do that and take significant stress off of my daily responsibilities.

Cons

Honestly there isn't anything I've disliked. It all works very much as advertised. If I was to nitpick though, I'd say it would be nice if the integration options were expanded. Currently a very limited list.

Pros

Great UI and brilliant support. Having used Hexnode and Jamf in the past it was a breath of fresh air to have a great looking product and proper support

Cons

We'd like more native bulk actions as we use Kandji for a hire fleet of devices. Week to week we move and rent out hundreds of devices. It would be really useful if more actions were able to be done via bulk updates. Better management of iOS and specific App version would be nice

Very positive. The tool worked great for what we needed and the support from Iru, whether technical or account-based was very responsive.

Pros

Easy to use, helped with device management across the business, was able to easily build out Blueprints to manage application and settings sets across different user groups.

Cons

Cost, in relation to number of users and devices. Unfortunately our headcount has significantly decreased over the past few years and we could not continue to justify the cost in our current state.
