The Status and activity reports provides the detailed information about the library policy deployed to the machines which is very useful feature for the Mac admin. Pros I like macOS deployment. Cons It would be nice to be able to push an app to a single device without having to make an entire profile for it. We have a wide range of end user needs so having a profile for each unique scenario is a little much. Also, it would be nice to be able to search for a device using other unique identifiers such as SIM and IMEI. It's also very fast. When I remote erase, it happens within 30 seconds. I wish I had something to manage my MS devices so well. Pros ease of use and simplicity of the interface. I don't need to get in that often, but when I do and I need to find if there's another aspect I can manage, there always is and adding/controlling apps is a breeze. I especially like the fact that apps are auto-updated. I wish my other device managers did that! Cons Filtering devices. I'd like to set it to default to only show active devices, rather than have to switch to that filter every time. And the way I had to create it was clunky. I had to add some verbiage to the "Asset tag" section and filter by that in order to make devices show as inactive without waiting for 30 days of inactivity. Compared to other MDMs I’ve used, Kandji dramatically reduces the operational burden—so much so that I no longer need a dedicated ITAM engineer to maintain the environment. It’s also been a game changer for compliance and patching; staying audit-ready is no longer a heavy lift. Their support is impressively responsive, and both their sales and customer success teams are exceptional at working with startups. Cons There's nothing I dislike about the platform itself, it's just missing some features that other MDM platforms have built in like traffic inspection or remote management but you get other things in exchange so it's a matter of finding a balance.
