Plus, the zero-touch deployment with ABM or Apple Business Manager works flawlessly for me making it super efficient to get new machines into the hands of our staff without imaging it one by one. The new Assignment Map feature is a game changer too, which you can include logic inside the blueprint. Overall, Kandji is reliable, easy to use and keeps getting better with each updates. Cons Some of the advanced customization and policy controls are a bit limited, and the reporting tools could be more detailed. Also I would like to have a repository of archived keys when we deactivate (delete) computers. Pros I like the ability to lock down and manage computers just as any MDM allows. The key benefit of Kandji is the easy-to-understand user interface. Cons Syncing is not working for our company. Each time I onboard employees, Automated Device Enrollment works but the Google Workspace email associated with the user fails. The cost is reasonable and it feels like a good value tool. Pros Other MDMs are so complicated and expensive. Kandji is super easy to use. We don't have a full time IT professional at our company and so Kandji makes managing our computers a breeze. Cons I have had times when I have tried to unlock a user account via Kandji and it hasn't worked or hasn't worked as well as I would like it to. I would love to see that feature improved a bit especially since we use that feature a lot. Pros What I appreciate is how it simplifies device management across the organization, with different profiles designed specifically for Mac devices. Pros Automates patching, great out-of-box experience for end users, help setting up security policies in an easy way, intuitive interface. It’s made managing our Apple devices across staff and classrooms much easier. The setup was quick, updates were automatic, and everything stayed secure without extra effort. The dashboard is clean and easy to use, and their support team is always super helpful and responsive. Overall, Kandji has saved us a ton of time and simplified our device management, which is perfect for an educational environment like ours! Pros The learn curve was straightforward. The onboarding team was helpful, making the whole experience simple. Once we were set up in Kandji, the client support for any questions we had has been excellent. Cons I don't have any cons as this is our first experience using MDM Management Software. Cost effective, ease of use, and we haven't felt limited in our capabilities. Everything we've needed/wanted to accomplish, we've been able to do so. 10/10 experience. Pros Kandji has been a breath of fresh air. Everything I've needed to accomplish, I've been able to do so with very minimal hiccups. The software is intuitive and easy to use. Makes an admin's day. Cons I have yet to have any negative experiences with Kandji. Cons Nothing springs to mind, we'd always like the pricing bands to be less,but it does provide a lot for what you pay. December 16, 2025 5.0 Pros Iru is very easy to set up and delivers value almost immediately after logging in. It significantly simplified our mobile device management. Pros As a small business, it provides simple blueprints for configuring and managing our employee devices, including a suite directly targeting the CIS Controls security framework. Additionally, their support team is at the ready to help whenever unexpected situations with Apple devices arise, which is especially beneficial for me as someone who had almost no prior experience in MDM fleet management. Cons Our small business has fewer than 25 staff, but Kandji has a minimum fleet size, so we pay for a full 25 devices even though we are using fewer. The cost is quite a bit more expensive than Apple Business Essentials, but it is substantially easier to implement so the cost has been worth it. I implemented Kandji and it was super straightforward. The users liked the clean onboarding and are happy with its minimal intrusiveness and that it doesn't do things like send location to IT and does not secretly screen capture. Pros Kandji makes Mac MDM super simple. It has the right set of security features. Integrated application deployments for all the apps you'd use make things easy on IT. Cons I can't really think of anything. I guess it would be you need to buy licenses in large chunks rather than on a 1 off basis. I have mainly used MDM solutions on the Microsoft platform, and while those are also powerful and work well, they require a lot of learning and consideration when applying settings. Kandji significantly reduces the time and effort needed for these tasks. Pros The biggest advantage of this software is that it is lightweight and easy to use. Even end users who are not administrators are satisfied with this aspect. Cons There really aren’t any major drawbacks. If I had to mention one, it would be that when a new feature replaces an old one, the previous feature tends to get deprecated a bit quickly. However, I think this is understandable, as it’s necessary for the manufacturer to continue developing better features. Review Source DS Dzmitry S. There are manuals for business users and ready to support guys, who can always guide you through setup and configuration. Pros The product is amazingly complete and have all the features you’ll need to cover you fleet and employees’ devices. The most precious thing is support - response time like 2mins and I never ever had any of my issues unresolved. Besides that very competent, friendly and pleasant to communicate with sales team and customer care guys. Keep up a good work. Cons Some non-obvious stuff in UI, but it’s getting better as product growing and developing. And I really love the UI. Honestly incredibly impressed with the product. I only wish we had used them sooner. Pros Incredibly easy to implement and make changes. From setting up our Google Workspace integration to onboarding all of our users and rolling out new features, it's always been incredibly smooth and easy to use. Also being hooked in to Drata vastly simplifies my life as an adminstrator. Cons It was a little tricky getting automated device enrollment setup and then configuring our first blueprints. But once we got our first group going, everything was smooth sailing. Pros It has an easy ramp up comparing to others MDM for apple devices: iPhones, iPads and MacBooks. I just wish Kandji did the same for Windows based machines. Pros I set this up 3 years ago and configured all the Blue prints and have had to do nearly nothing since we it all just works. Cons Reporting. The reporting is limited and I would like to get more data as well as better exporting. That is all. Cons The device refresh window is slightly longer than I would like, it usually refreshes every fifteen minutes. Did I mention their support is great? Pros Kandji is very easy and straightforward to use. There are plenty of features available, Mac apps that can be automatically installed, and even dirty tricks that can help people solve problems. Their support team is OUTSTANDING, extremely quick in responding, always helpful. Cons They have a "Feature Request" submission form, but the request is then lost in the oblivion :) The Mac app is slow at times. Review Source DO Davide O.
