Draftium Reviews
Pros
Great software for copywriting and wireframing at the same time, and showing it to potential clients. If only they can add the team member feature.
Great for wireframing and copywriting a website.
With great templates and blocks, all the pieces needed to create a clear mockup are at your fingertips. It's easy to switch between views on cell phone, tablet, and desktop.
I loved the simplistic and intuitive UI, which doesn't require much time to get used to. I created a great prototype in just 20 minutes, which is fantastic.
Cons
After contacting them through their sales chat, I was told that my account had been suspended because one of my projects looked like a scam, and this was a possible violation of their terms of use.
That information, of course, is none of their business and I refused.
I dislike how there isn't an option for a team member or collaborator to go into the prototype and edit it. They kept referring me to Weblium, but I don't want to use it.
Don't like two-step authorization on the mobile devices.
"This is amazing! Exactly what I needed. "
Overall: I had been looking for a way to speed up my overall design/development workflow and Draftium was exactly what I needed. Photoshop was originally my go to tool for creating prototypes, but they are not interactive. After testing a few alternatives, I found Draftium via AppSumo. Now it takes a fraction of the time it used to take to create prototype. My clients are amazed at how fast I work and love being able to provide feedback while they are view the prototype. This is a must if you are looking to improve your workflow.
Pros: The ability to create interactive prototypes quickly.
Cons: I do not have any cons. So far, the app has everything I need.
"Quick and clean prototyping tool"
Overall: The wireframes/prototypes give enough detail to impress an end user or client, and allow for review of UX, without giving too much detail as to lock down a design. As a wire framing and prototyping tool should do.
Pros: I love the ready made pages and sections for pages. Their designs are simple and clean and allow for easy creation of a project and communication with a client or team.
Cons: I wish the shared drafts had better commenting and reviewing functionality. At the moment I have my prototypes integrated with userback but an integrated solution would be more ideal.
"Good Software (But Limited) - Disturbing moderation"
Overall: What started off as a really helpful tool quickly spiraled into something that was not. After using the software for several years on many projects, I went to login to my account and got a "username not found" error. I had logged in a week earlier, so I tried to reset my password but to no avail. Then I checked one of my preview links and it said my account was suspended. After contacting them through their sales chat, I was told that my account had been suspended because one of my projects looked like a scam, and this was a possible violation of their terms of use. Keep in mind this was a very, very rough draft, which consisted mostly of a few grabby headlines and Lorem Ipsum placeholder text. I assured them my client was a legitimate, brick-and-mortar business who has been in business for over 40 years. They asked for proof of this, so I provided an email from my client describing his business and what he needed. This was not sufficient. Two more days go by and I was contacted by the "head of customer service". Instead of being helpful or considerate of the situation, he instructed me to submit my client's "statutory documents and financial license" so they can get this resolved. That information, of course, is none of their business and I refused. This overreach while secretly moderating my project disturbs me. I don't know whats going on at Draftium/Weblium, but it's not their place to do this, especially on a mockup. I'm done with Draftium, so in the end they wasted
Pros: Wireframing is an important part of my development process and I'm familiar with several wireframing platforms. Aside from a couple of annoyances, Draftium did the job I needed the quickest. It WAS good for feeding my creativity and assembling a good design. The pre-built modules are easy to choose and drag onto the page. When using Draftium as a prototype, the flow was easy to see and show my client.
Cons: There is an annoying customer service chat button right on top of the design. It's big, always there, and can't be closed. An off-canvas slide-in button would be less intrusive. The section blocks are limited. You can remove some of the block's components to customize, but you can't add anything and often end up with something that is not the way you wanted to present it. Always seemed like they were trying to steer you to other products they create. Clearly did not value me as a customer. For a company that says they have great customer service, the manner in which I was treated after a misunderstanding on their part was inexcusible.
"Allows me to quickly and easily throw together interactive mockups and wireframes "
Overall: I wanted to mock up sites and wireframes quickly. When compared to how I used to do it on photoshop Draftium has saved me, quite literally, days. It's interactive and I genuinely feel gives me an edge over my competitors. The customer service is good and they generally reply quite quick. It's still missing some key functionality (such as e-commerce modules and more flexibility in columns) but for the price it is spot on. Would highly recommend.
Pros: The software is, generally, incredibly easy to use and has sped up the time it takes me to wireframe and provide concept ideas sevenfold. I used to use photoshop combined with indesign to mock ideas up and provide interactive working examples. Draftium allows me to do this much much quicker, with pre-made modular blocks and a drag and drop builder. Furthermore, it offers me the ability to allow my clients to comment on what they like and don't like.
Cons: It doesn't have all the "blocks" I need yet. For example, when I want to wireframe e-commerce type sites I have to get a bit "creative" with how I use the blocks as they don't have anything which resembles a woocommerce type layout. Also, the ability to change the content in "columns" is incredibly limited.
"Great for wireframing and copywriting a website"
Overall: Great software for copywriting and wireframing at the same time, and showing it to potential clients. If only they can add the team member feature!
Pros: Instead of using a word document, I can use Draftium for copywriting to give the UI designer an idea of where the words should go on a website. Game-changer!
Cons: I dislike how there isn't an option for a team member or collaborator to go into the prototype and edit it. They kept referring me to Weblium, but I don't want to use it. I want this feature in Draftium.
