The architecture of using skills is amazing as it saves us a lot of time. The UI is way different from many chat and may seem little overwhelming for a novice user but after a tiny bit of learning, it becomes a perfect tool which you cannot look beyond. The support is fantastic as they are ready to listen to us and take necessary action to meet our needs. Loved being part of their journey. Hoping they will be crowned as the best bot builder in the world. Cons It did not have the team feature in the past but now they have added it. so we can share bots with others. I thought it would be nice to get a chatbot to answer FAQs and provide a few links. This does so much more than that. It has opened the door for me to do so much for my clients and re-create for the next and the next after that. The best tools make you look like a genius and amaze your clients. This has proven to be that and more... Pros There are so many ways to use this that I'm still finding new opportunities years later. They keep adding to the options and I keep finding use cases for them. Cons I struggled at first to figure it out but then I had a call with the lovely Iryna and she helped me understand how to use it. Blue skies from that point on. I also used it for Facebook pages and website. Pros \-NLP features are really good-Native integration with Google Sheets-Ability to send emails Cons \-The chatbot widget for the website has an error when visiting from mobile, I reported this almost a year ago, and they confirmed it is a bug and will pass it to the development team, until now the error is still there. -That makes my website chatbot unusable.-Not intuitive at all Review Source Govind R. I am not happy with the experience at all. They need to work on support. There are bugs and it seems the team doesn't even test before releasing the feature they completely rely on users to report the bugs which are okay but there are too many. Pros It has a lot of features if not all when compared to the likes of Many Chat and Mobile Monkey. It has plugins for WordPress making integration easy for WordPress users. Team working reasonably fast to develop features Facebook Group to help you with any issues you are facing Cons Support documents- Even though they have worked on their support documents I didn't find it to be organized. It still needs a bit of work Support- Realtime support is missing. It takes 24 hrs if you send an email for support or more (at least in my experience) which makes me upset. Though it makes building bots easy, right now it lacks many things like delegating bot access, facebook comments grow etc. Will look around till the software matures. Pros One of the easiest visual builders which makes it easy to build the most complex chatbots. The founder is extremely helpful, organizing chabot webinars every week etc. Support is great, too. It also has a number of templates, covering bots built for shopify, woocommerce, livechat, restaurants and other templates which helped me understand how the different blocks come together to build a complex chabot. Voice conversation integration with alexa echo/google home is also coming up, along with web widgets if the existing twilio, telegram, facebook integrations are not enough already. Cons The interface of most pages arent upto the mark. The software has a learning curve but can be overcome with training. Review Source Tony E. I've built a basic bot and currently working on a more advanced rewards bot and so far I like it a lot. I'm looking forward to the upcoming improvements, but I think it will be my bot tool of choice. Pros It's quite a different interface than ManyChat, Chatfuel or Mobile Monkey (not sure about the others), but once I got used to it I liked the workflow and layout. The UI looks a little dated, but supposed to be updated soon along with a lot of other features. Excellent ecommerce integrations as well. Cons It doesn't have all of the growth tools yet, but assured those are coming soon. It's a fairly new service, so documentation is lacking, very basic for now but I've been able to figure out everything I need to do so far. Not only for facebook they have bots for other platforms like telegram, and whatsapp bots are about to launch in a while. They have launched a website widget too. April 13, 2020 4.0 It's a great tool, but the help/documentation is very basic and minimal. When I reached out to support, they took several days to get back to me. Pros It integrates with many services. I used it for my WooCommerce shop. The bot automatically pulled all the data from the store, and users could place orders via chat on Facebook Messenger. The Chatbot Builder had a prebuilt template, so all I had to do was replace the default names with my store name. Setup took a couple of minutes. Fastest way to build a bot. Cons The bot can perform unexpectedly. It can be confusing as to what variable and action does what, since the tutorial doesn't explain well enough on how to do more advanced customizations. It is easy to use and very intuitive. It does take a bit of time to get used to, but the learning curve is not as steep as I feared. Pros The system is very flexible and it is really easy to incorporate AI functions through Dialogflow. The team is super responsive and they get hotfixes out fast if there are any issues. The team is also listening to users and suggestions for features. I have sent in several feature requests that made it to the roadmap. I am very excited about this and I am definitely in for the long run! Cons The platform needs a better subscription/sequence system. This should be an upcoming feature though. Pros This product promises to launch AI on multiple platforms outside of Facebook Cons Initial onboarding is wonky and can use UX upgrades. It was difficult understanding how to get started until I watched several videos. I also had issues using this platform on Firefox to connect Facebook messenger. Currently, the workaround is to use Chrome to connect messenger and then you can continue working on Firefox. I don't like having to use a different browser to obtain functionality. I've used other builders which seem quite limited to Activechat. They seem to have a rigid enough flow for conversations whereas Activechats core setup is built on flexibility. Cons I found it very difficult to get my head around at first. The other tools I've used have a logical step by step approach but Activechat seemed very complex. I now understand why! I've been blown away by the fact that I got so much more than I expected! With ActiveChat I've been able to set up complex interactions with a visual style that was so easy to understand I've literally put a couple of hours to set it up for good! Knowing that anything I might WANT to do CAN be done is great. I do get annoyed that it can take a while to build some things, and the learning curve is a bit steep. But they are constantly improving Activechat and I feel like it will be a stable solution for a while to come. Pros I love that you can almost do anything you want with Activechat. It is built to allow you to not only customize your chatbot communications, but integrate with data from other tools like Google Sheets. You have the ability to break each chatbot down into modules, and trigger tasks across modules, send data between functions, and much more. It really is almost limitless. Cons Activechat just simply isn't the easiest chat building tool to use. If you want something simple, you still have to deal with an interface designed for more complex tasks. Not every field is well-described, and it isn't immediately apparent what kind of data goes in each field. Google Sheets integration, while powerful, takes a little trial and error to get right. They recently introduced V2 of the interface, and it's much better, but still needs significant improvements for ease of use. Review Source Chaz B. Pros Active Chat has just about every feature you could possibly want in a chat bot baked in or to be released no later than March of 2019. The only function it's missing is somehow making the bot for you. It was built with building conversations rather than bots idea and with that the flow is a lot cleaner than you'd expect as well. This tool made that possibly quite easily. Pros I'm pretty new to chatbot development (worked with Manychat) but this tool is fantastic. I am easily able to create basic bots for my clients and get them up and running. The amount of functionality in the system is incredible. You can basically do anything with this builder from NLP to ecommerce bots. Love it! Cons The interface at first seems a little 'old school' as far as the GUI but once I got used to it the uncluttered look is actually easy to work in. Having said that I know a fresh gui look is on the roadmap.
