This is the first web launch that we utilized Antilles. We should have adopted it with our last launch. Pros The interface is vibrant and intuitive for our users. The training curve has been reduced greatly with this platform. Cons The platform has adapted easily to our needs. We are early in the usage of it and have not found any dislikes. Pros Antilles is very similar to other CMS software but I think it is even easier to use. It is also very intuitive and logical in its setup. I like that it is easily customize-able and has "modules" that can be added or removed. I also like that I can access the HTML if I prefer from the wiziwig box. Cons None so far. Pros Seems to cover the gamut of what our page offers. Cons We struggle to know how to implement changes independently. It's time consuming to learn and then impossible to remember, so you end up re-learning again. This is made more difficult by the fact that it has not been overly intuitive. Some pieces take a little longer to learn than others but that's not unusual. Things that used to take me an hour or more to work on now take half the time. It's nice to work with a product that is powerful yet easy to use. Pros The software is easy to learn and use. Editing site copy is a breeze; replacing links to documents within the site are simple and efficient; and SEO design is no longer a nightmare with the built in SEO building/scoring feature. The list builder is great ... makes keeping content updated a breeze. LRS thought of just about everything when designing this software. Cons Honestly, I don't believe there is anything I don't like. Reason for choosing LRS Antilles It's a top notch product. Extremely user friendly and powerful at the same time. License and hosting pricing that is reasonable. And, let's not forget about LRS the company - I can not say enough good things about this company. Their tech support is terrific and the project team (I'm on my third project with them) is incredible to work with. If you're looking for a new CMS, LRS Antilles is worth the look. As a small organization with a limited budget, LRS worked with us to make the transition happen for the product. The software is easy to navigate and provides access for small staffs that we would not otherwise have. Pros The software is easy to navigate and provide information to your members. Once established, it can provide ease with access to information and products for association members, staff and board members. Cons Some of the updates are not always available to your version of the product. We share an office with a company that purchased the software a few days after we did and they seem to get updates that we do not. The group is highly responsive and accommodating. We've encountered many aspects of Antilles that we've needed to tweak since we launched the system, and the help-desk folks have gone out of their way to assist us with these fixes so that Antilles will function at its very best for our needs. Pros The Antilles interface is quite intuitive and user friendly. I was new to website management when we started with Antilles. Although there was a learning curve for me, as a beginner, the setup made sense once I gained some experience working with it. I love the ease of adding and posting content. Compared to our old system, which involved using a separate icon on my desktop and a lot of time-consuming back-and-forth to publish content, this system organized so much better and so much more conducive to fast and easy content additions and changes. Antilles also makes it simple to post photos and videos. In the span of the almost two years we've had Antilles, I've gone from feeling bewildered by website management to feeling confident and excited about maintaining our site. Cons Some aspects of the text formatting, such as spacing and bullets, are cumbersome and require work-arounds. Pros Antilles is extremely easy to use and gives the user the control to update their site as needed. The site also allows the convenience to be able to update the site from anywhere. We have been able to make necessary changes very quickly and add new features to our site using the systems form and list builder. If there is an issue or something we cannot complete on our own, the web support team is outstanding. They answer quickly and complete requests in a timely manner. Also, the LRS team is continuously making updates to improve the already great software. Cons The only improvement that could be made to make the system easier to use is to add the ability to upload documents from your computer, rather than to resources and then copying the path. We can also check SEO on our own . . . again not needing LRS to do that work for us. So at the end of the day, there's cost savings by not needing to depend n the LRS staff. Pros With the switch to Antilles, we can now update so many of our pages without help from LRS. While the LRS team has always been good at responding to requests for help, now we can create forms, new pages, and update pretty much all of our content without needing to complete a help desk ticket. It's a big time saver. Cons The only thing we struggle with is photo placements. We'll get error messages, but can't alway figure out why one jpg won't work while another will. And it's not super easy to move a photo where you want it on a page. While right justification works easily on the blog, we sometimes don't really want it right justified and can't make the spacing correct when we moved the photo anywhere else. But it's more ov an inconvenience than anything else. Reason for choosing LRS Antilles Because LRS recommended it. All support staff at LRS are knowledgeable and easy to work with. Pros The layout and ease of using Antilles makes teaching others that don’t have website skills so much easier. It’s easy to navigate even with over 100+ pages on the website. Cons I wish there was a way to purge images and files more effectively. We use a lot of images and rotate them often. If we could delete those not in use in a more efficient manor it would be helpful. Easily being able to update content is great. I don't work for PT&E, so if I can get things done quickly, it's a lot better than spending time on a company I don't actually work for. Pros One of my favorite things about using Antilles was how much control I had of the site while we were building it. Too many times on other CMS systems, when I need to make a simple change, I have to have the developers do it. With Antilles, I was pretty much able to make all small to mid sizes changes myself. Cons I don't use Antilles too frequently, so it could be a user error, but I seem to have a hard time with media files on the site. Sorting, organizing, replacing all seems a bit confusing compared to my other CMS systems. Reason for choosing LRS Antilles The initial estimate from LRS was a little less than our other option. Customer service agents were very helpful and nice in helping me learn what i needed to. We have a website hosted by LRS and i have been able to make some of my own changes and programmers helped enhance our website to make it more appealing for our visitors(farmers) to the website. Cons Was only difficult to use at the beginning before i was given the necessary tools to learn about the product. No fault of theirs. I was new to the office and had no training. Once i called for help and got the necessary information to use the product there were no more issues.
