Excellent overall experience.

Pros

The speed and reliability of the system are big plusses. It is easy to use and can cope with the nuances of our different commission plans. C-IQ have an excellent support and customer service team.

Cons

The product is continually improving and adding new features. C-IQ listen to customer feedback in this respect.

Reason for choosing CaptivateIQ

We did look at other commissions systems before deciding upon C-IQ. It has proved to be a good decision. The system is easy to use, quick, flexible and auditable.

CaptivateIQ is REALLY EASY to use and understand, especially if you come from the world of Excel. After a few sessions with their services team, I’m comfortable making changes to the product on my own. We have a large sales team with a variety of teams / plans and this streamlined the whole process. I recommend this for any large and fast growing sales team.

Pros

Coming from Excel and being able to use CaptivateIQ for commissions processing has been a huge win. I love the product and can’t rave enough about it. Some of the big things I like about the product include: - Being able to custom build the statements per each plan - Easily accommodate changes with people leaving and joining new teams - Loved how easy it is to use especially getting the reps to get into the system and use it (little to no training) CaptivateIQ also has a great services team. They help think through all the use cases and make sure everything is setup correctly. I've never experienced a services team as dedicated and effective as theirs!

Cons

I would love to be able to download statements. Also, on the statement reporter, while incredibly easy to use, I would love more features like adding colors and grouping.

My experience has been limited, but at the moment what I like the most about the tool is the ability to see and track compensation. I would love to be able to see my entire team's compensation schedule, but I cannot at the current moment.

The biggest benefits have been transparency and understanding of where I'm earning commissions. It's also easier for finance to update and approve, so it's helping me get paid 15 to 20 days earlier than in the past. It's made my life as a contractor much easier.

Pros

The product is super easy to use and has provided transparency for commissions and payouts in what used to be a really complicated compensation program. I don't feel like I need to track my sales separately, captivateiq makes it really easy to see what closed, in what tier of payouts and what my accelerators look like, broken down in a granular way. It's made life a lot easiers.

Cons

I think there are some drop down menus that are hard to navigate, there may be some small U/X features I would change to make things easier to find. Rollups and breakdowns of payouts can seem hidden

CaptivateIQ is a no-code SaaS platform that is an incentive compensation management (sales commission) solution. It helps enterprises to automate and improve the tough assignment of scheming, processing, and reporting commission. It effortlessly pulls data from Salesforce for the automatic processing of commissions, its dashboard is easy and enjoyable to work with and its customer support is top-notch.

Cons

Sometimes the reporting can be time-consuming as the pages load slowly on CaptivateIQ and my CSM has promised optimization on that front.

It's easy to find what you need to look for in the software.

Cons

I don't do the formulas, so they initially looked confusing. Now that I've been using the tool for sometime now, I can clearly see how the formula set up works. Still working on automating ever part of the process to utilize the software fully, but that goes hand in hand with our comp plans staying consistent as opposed to changing every other month.

The problem that CaptivateIQ solves for my sales team is taking away any grey area. CaptivateIQ provides transparency for our team and allows direct reports to have ownership over their commission. There have been times were discrepancies have come up between what I thought my attainment was vs. what I was actually paid on and without CaptivateIQ I would never have known this.

Pros

I like that CaptivateIQ provides a single source of truth for my sales team. In the sales world, commission is everything and CaptivateIQ is a platform that allows management and direct reports to be on the same page. If there's ever a question about what I'm being paid I know I can turn to CaptivateIQ for the information I need. In many ways, CaptivateIQ acts as a leger for my payouts and it can be referred back to whenever I need it. It is extremely effective because I can see how my performance as reported in salesforce matches against what I was actually paid.

Cons

I don't particularly dislike any aspect of CaptivateIQ but I wish there were additional notifications. I think that it would be helpful if CaptivateIQ was synced with my companies HR/salary platform (ADP) so I could access these statements in one place. If not, then I'd like to be notified when updates in CaptivateIQ are made so I can stay on top of it.

Time Reduction, Accuracy, Commission view, Statement, User Friendly.

Pros

Navigation process and the detail's view are the one's i liked the most in this software & also the way how a sales rep would think to view his sales.And also extracting the data in excel format for reporting purposes such as auditing is easy.

Cons

Inquiry feature needs to be updated with drop down options such as In Progress, Awaiting Sales response, Severity of the request. Mobile application - which would help the end user to view/track sales chart in hand.

Love the tool, the regular notification and the opportunity it provides to get your commissions payments under control.

Pros

The monthly statement provides deep details on the incoming payment and the associated calculation. You can check on a line by line basis and refer back to the overall plan.

Cons

Nothing in particular but there is an opportunity to provide additional Graphs customization option in the visualization section.

We have rather complex compensation plans and we used to manage all commission through excel sheets, and it was a hassle gathering the correct data from salesforce there and have every FLM confirm the final numbers. The previous way of doing it was just prone to errors. Now, I can review the statements with accurate data pulled directly from Salesforce, I can see previous months, overall team performance, etc.

Pros

As a manager, I get to review not just my own commission statement, but also those of team. Ever since we launched CaptivateIQ, this has been incredibly effortless to me. I can't describe how transparent, effortless and simple the tool is. Every month I look forward to reviewing the statements. Besides, the design is beautiful and easy on the eye.

Cons

Working in a sales organizations, we have monthly or quarterly spiffs I would love to able to include in the tool. While I am not entirely sure whether CaptivateIQ might be able to do this and whether this is something our organization has simply not looked into yet, we are currently managing SPIFFs in a different tool (workday). So reps do not see SPIFF amounts on their commission statemens on capitvateIQ but rather need to wait for it to show up on their payslip. Ideally, I would want this to be included in captivateIQ. It is possible this is already a feature, but we haven't enabled it.

We are solving cross team collaboration with commission between accounting and my BDR management team and moving away from excel spreadsheets. This has totally given new clarity and transparency across 3 different teams and made a lot of the grunt work of managing a BDR team go away. Also love that I can customize the comp structure to my own system.

Pros

\-UX, simplicity - this product makes it incredibly flexible and easy to model my BDR commissions and work with accounting to ensure everyone is on the same page with comp. Working in a startup means we often change how we comp, and having a seamless UX and flexibility is crucial in using commission software for our BDRS.

Cons

only con is not being able to login via the website - sometimes hard to track down the app itself and where to login

I love the time that it saves me in doing commissions each month. It took my complex commission process and streamlined it to be much more manageable

I wish the statements had more functionality. I also wish that there was more functionality to do plan modelling.

I wish there was the ability to lock down a period and have a "super admin" and regular "admin" so my team would have to go through me in order to change a prior period once locked.

Using CaptivateIQ has been a simple, helpful internal resource. We have heaps of tools to use for various things, but I really appreciate the proactive payday emails.

Pros

I love being notified of payouts, how much, and detail about commissions. Previously I would have a number of threads begging ops and finance teams to just tell me what number I was receiving.

Cons

It's a bit daunting at first, and you can only hope that your ops team sets it up correctly based on comp and commission structure. I'd love some more training videos sent my way to use it at its max capability!

### "Switching form Oracle to CaptivateIQ has been incredible"

Our overall experience has been extremely positive! We had used Xactly and Oracle in the past and there is no comparison in terms of balancing ease of use with robust capability. Our monthly comp processing has never been more simple! I also want to emphasize the dedication and attention to detail the Captivate team demonstrated during our evaluation cycle, implementation, and beyond - they are committed to getting the tool working exactly as their customers require to an extent I have never seen from other vendors.

Pros

Captivate IQ has an exceptional services team - they invested the time needed to understand our needs and comp plan and were able to get us set up in record time. We had a short window between renewals and the Captivate team was able to quickly onboard us with this in mind, making us confident in our vendor switch. Captivate's data transformation capabilities really stood out to us, as we were working with a hold and release plan which required multiple datasets to be combined with payments data to produce correct releases. The platform was able to handle this easily! I also really like the ability to easily edit statements and make manual adjustments - these have been huge time savers!

Cons

We've asked Captivate to look into custom number formatting for statements. It would also be helpful if the error codes, when triggered, showed more detail.

Commissions used to be a stressful and time consuming monthly exercise. With CaptivateIQ, it takes a few clicks a month to process payouts for the team and now I can move into more important business activities. If you have multiple plans and managers and are trying to simplify this process with an easy to use system, CaptivateIQ will serve you well.

Pros

I appreciate how quickly the system was put together including making changes to account for new 2019 plans. We were able to run payouts within a few days after walking through our plans with their team. Now that the system is running, I really like how everything is centralized so our team can and myself have an organized view of what’s been paid out for on commissions. The team really enjoys the visibility into their deals and have confidence everything is accounted for.

Cons

It would be great to see a Hubspot CRM integration. It would also be nice to see a task manager or a step-by-step walkthrough for when I run payouts each month. For example, when I’m running a payout for a new month, it’d be great to click a button and it would take me through all the steps on all the pages and then actions I need to perform. This would remove having me click on the side navigation to get through processing a payout (loading data, processing payout, review, etc.)
