Value for ease of use is really good having us run multiple displays for diffrent locations requring diffrent content to be down. Pros Ease of use for a normal user. Ease of running of lower end hardware or Android. Cental control for multiple locations. Option of selfhosting or hosting trought Xibo Cons PPTX requiring its own program in PC witch became problem for us on lower end hardware with no space to install. It's not my core business. Pros Scalability, multi-platform, easy to deploy, easy licensing management, low performance requirement. Cons Complexity of the web interface. It is not possible to know the time of the displays to be sure of the synchro. I asked for support to install Xibo on Samsung Tizen, I didn't get an answer. Then I was spammed for weeks by an AI on my emails. Eventually, I got the Samsung model wrong and lost a lot of money. The platform and display endpoints are very easy to configure, seems to be secure and stable, and works great for all of the marketing needs of our clients. You get a lot of functionality for very little cost, making this a fantastic product. I have not needed technical support, so I can't speak to the quality of support. Pros Xibo CMS is free to deploy on our own servers, and was very easy to set up using the preconfigured docker containers. Cons There are an enormous number of features, which is great but translates to a bit of a learning curve for staff members and clients. We replaced another system and the transition was smooth for bot our internal administrative group as well as our customers who actually maintain the content on the signage. We plan to continue to use Xibo as our standard digital signage solution for the future. Pros It does everything we need regarding digital signage. We have mostly standard signage with a playlist of slides, pictures, and some videos but we do have signs with multiple displays where one display is interactive via touch and controls the other display when selections are made. Xibo handles all of this and more. Xibo doesn't need a powerful computer to do what we need so we use fanless $250 mini PCs to control our signage. Cons Some of the features take some getting used to but that's to be expected. Every system has its own way of presenting the user interface but it does take some time to adjust to the way Xibo wants things to be done. Navigation feels clunky, and finding specific settings or features often takes longer than it should. A cleaner UX would make a big difference. It is very easy to get in it, and if there are problems, the support always helps. Pros The easiness of use and the fact of a open source system which is very simple to set up and get it running. Also I am very pleased with the stableness on a lighwight system. (Jusst a linux server and some android clients) Cons Some minor things are a little bit bugy sometimes.
