### "Great software"

Overall it has been great, i love the product and will continue to use it. We are able to cast our weekly workflow to seperate factorys from the comfort of the office.

Pros

Functions great and easy to use once everything is setup. Cost is also reasonable. the dashboard is easy to use.

Cons

I bit tricky to setup initially, but once done it runs will clock work. a bit difficult for some of the less it literate members of staff.

### "Best digital display system around"

Great so far. Have around 25 screens currently and when its working its great. Easy for both self hosted and cloud hosted.

Pros

Easy to setup, full of good functions for video web etc, very clear documentation, full range of supported devices

Cons

Lead display for video walls and what happens on failure. Once the lead screen is offline the others default to the default layout instead of carrying on playing the content they already have. Another issue is the screenshots. Not sure if its android or xibo but not being able to see the content playing when its a video is a real pain.

### "5 super glowing stars for Xibo"

The effect on customers seeing our shop and marketing information presented with the XIBO software on digtal displays is enorm. It makes more revenue than expected, so value for money all the way.

Pros

The effect without much effert makes us happy. In a few click e show good quality information on screens with an easy setup.

Cons

Couldn't find any thing that disturbs me to complain about it. There is always something that you want to accomplice but then you have to do it in a different way :-)

We have over 20 instances in an Ionos data center, installed on a virtual machine running Linux (Ubuntu 20.04), and we manage over 2,700 screens running Android. APK v2 60% APK v3 38% APK v4 2%

Pros

Ease of access, screen management, layout management, folder functionality, diversity of widgets and design

Cons

\- Statistics management when processing a few millions lines is not successful. - Permission management and rights assignment (security page) are poorly described.

### "Excellent Customer Support"

Overall, excellent experience with Xibo. Been with the company for over 10 years and cannot fault the integrity of their customer support

Pros

Customer Support - always attentive and always on hand, so sort issues quickly and efficiently. All questions answered personally by a human!

Cons

Would like more widgets (news, weather) and more support for YouTube and HLS streaming. DS is more than just picutres and text these days.

### "The best alternative for distributing your Power BI reports"

Today, we are organized by departments connected to Xibo, which are completely autonomous in managing information distribution (HR, Quality, IT, etc). Our aeronautical production is also equipped with KPI dashboards for each production line, entirely powered by Power BI and displayed via Xibo.

Pros

The multitude of different media that can be displayed in Xibo, especially Power BI reports. We currently use it on more than 30 screens in our aeronautical production workshops.

Cons

Xibo doesn't suffer from any major issues. We did have some diffuculties to connect link from Xibo to Microsoft. It's also worth noting that WebOS licenses are still not free.

### "Excellent CMS for your own host!"

Xibo is a great tool for people who want an open-source CMS they can install on their own host, but the learning curve is a bit steeper than with other CMSs. This is due to its interface.

Pros

It's a very comprehensive, low-cost, secure, stable content management tool that's compatible with most current operating systems. It's great to be able to use it on your own host.

Cons

There are many processes, such as content scheduling, that aren't as simple. I think they could improve on that, as well as on several details of their interface. All of this compared to other CMSs.

### "Excellent Signage Software"

I have been using Xibo for years and it is a solid software that offers multiple features and has a lot of flexibility.

Pros

I like the flexibility to use it on multiple platforms. I also like the ability to configure the screen layout to custom sizes.

Cons

Unable to span more that one screen on Android like you can with Windows. This would be a great feature enhancement.

### "Xibo inside your own environment is great"

Very easy to deploy. Xibo runs inside a docker installation. Very easy to administer. Very easy to use!

Pros

The on prem installation with The great API inside the own network. Very cool, I don't want to miss it.

Cons

The development of the Linux Player (raspberry???) need a lot of time. This would be a great extension.

A good experience. It allows me to manage my TV content to different stores remotely. Me ahorra tiempo y costos logísticos.

Pros

It is a comfortable and very useful platform. Me ahorra tiempo, me permite controlar las TV de todas las sucursales desde mi escritorio. Puedo elegir qué contenido compartir en ciertas TV y qué contenido no compartir.

Cons

The menu options and settings are a little confusing. It will be easier with less settings or maybe two offer two options, a more simple one and the other one with more settings. Besides, sometimes the editor is slow. And, I really will love Xibo to be compatible with a chore will (sistema de turnos de atención al cliente, sistema de ticket con números).

### "Xibo is amazing!"

We've been using Xibo in our school since 2013 and we do not see ourselves using anything else! It is that good!

Pros

Xibo is a godsend to anyone wanting to use a form of digital signage. The platform is easy to use. The server is easy to set up. The service and apps are inexpensive and offer great value for money. The team is always working on improving their product so we get updates regularly that offers new customisation options.

Cons

It's not all smooth sailing at the start. For example, issues with migrating or upgrading the Xibo server. But all issues are sorted with the help of the support team.

Robust and stable for years. windows and android support. easy to manage multiple locations and screens

Cons

100 % Price increase in 2025 for cms and android licensing options. Due to high parity rate , our costs for xibo hosting rocketed

### "Affordable Self Hosted Option"

Pros

Xibo is an cost-effective option. Xibo can be run at no cost when self-hosted with the Windows played. Cloud hosting and player software for other platforms are available for minimal additional cost.

Cons

The management interface is not intuitive, and it takes some time to train new folks on where to find thing.

An excellent product that is inexpensive to create a centralised managed digital signage solution with flexibility and the power to provide a solution way in excess of what you would expect for the cost.

Pros

Platform Agnostic, works on a wide range of devices and you are not tied to a specific maufacturer. Good support from the help team and the community.

Cons

User interface can sometimes be a little clunky, but once you are familiar with it, using it become staright forward.

Good, would recommend for use not only in a smaller environment but larger ones as long as the initial setup work is done.

Pros

Easy to setup and scale as needed, with new displays being easily added and managed especially compared to other enterprise options on the cost front.

Cons

Sometimes we find using Xibo hardware if we push too much information at one to a display the Xibo app will stop responding

We proceeded with the migration of an existing system with low specifications, and I was satisfied with the overall smooth operation. However, the CMS interface appears to need improvement.

Pros

It was great that we could immediately implement the changes to the customer's outdated system almost free of charge.

Cons

Development of signage for Linux discontinued (some features do not work). Device control on non-rooted Android.

Overall XIBO is a great product for companies that dont which to subscribe to SAAS to Sell SAAS, who want control and exapandibility of there devices

Pros

xibo is a a great product for companies that wish to host on-prem digital signage servers. It allows our marketing department to have full control of our signage.

Cons

pairing the display to the server can be difficult at time using android. if assembling a new location where WAN isnt avalaible

A real life saver. A great solution to a budget signage network. Flexible and easy to use. Go for self hosted CMS to reduce costs, but say hello to a bit of computing :D

Pros

Ease of implementation. Very easy to scale. Affordable or even free in some cases :) And when it works, IT WORKS!

Cons

Poor support. Own CMS installation may not be straight forward, and the only support is community support.

Being able to manage hundreds of screens (Windows, Android) from a single portal. Easy and quick to set up, but with many customizable options

Cons

Installing the portal is a bit complicated to get all the services working, however it's very easy using Docker.

I like using Xibo. Updates are made to make things more efficient but at the same time it's not a huge adjustment.

Pros

I like the ease of use in Xibo. To change a slide or the order of slides is very easy and quick to do.

Cons

It would be nice to see the slide show before publishing it. Each slide could be shown and then publish could happen.

Easy to train users in. Robust for the price point. Works well with both android and windows players, though I think the windows players work better.

Cons

Lack of font support for paid fonts. Some problems with layouts not working on players even though they worked in preview.

### "Good and reliable "

Good, also with support. You get a personal response within a few hours. And they continue the help until it is solved.

Pros

99% availability and when it’s not available, the player will still run. Only syncing would be postponed.

Cons

It’s not cheap and with my old(er) plan, I can’t use the new functionality. Which is ashame, since old customers are loyal customers.

I handle all my small business digital signage needs with self hosted Xibo and cheap Google Chromecast with Google TV sticks with android client licenses. No other system even gets close in affordability and useability for a small business.

Pros

Solid digital signage system. CMS is free to try and use. Windows client is free, multiple other platforms are available for affordable one-time fee.

Cons

Linux client is still under developement, but that is totally understandable. Third time the charm I suppose.

### "Best signage at a resonable price."

We are using it to develop a community digital calendar with local businesses. Each customer has a display and can submit events for the network. Billing is based on the number of displays they are on each month. Being on the network is free currently.

Pros

Xibo was the easiest to use of the major signage players. The ability to use an API and develop our own signage system for our customers was pivotal.

Cons

The software offers so many options that occasionally it can be a bit confusing to make sure that everything is in the right place.
