It’s also highly recommended for a limited budget. Pros It’s an easy-to-use system with a lot of features. Whether it’s for 3 displays or 100, it can be easily scaled, and managing the players is completely straightforward. It also supports a wide range of operating systems. Plus, it’s free! Cons There are frequent updates, which isn’t necessarily a drawback, but with a self-hosted system it requires a bit more effort. Having less than 10 signage screens across our campus, it has worked well enough for us to continue using it after they starting charging annual fees. Pros Xibo is a highly reliable, economical, web-based application/platform for distributing text and graphics content to TV display signage screens. Content may be scheduled or static. It's well supported and updated with acceptable frequency. Cons The Xibo interface, while versatile and powerful, has a steep learning curve. The management tool is not user-friendly at all, and there are many repeated concepts (such as the term "scheduling") that are not clearly explained. There is no option to allow some slides within the same campaign (for example, a monthly campaign) to expire before others, or to add new slides in the middle of a campaign (such as halfway through the month). It forces you to create an entirely new campaign every time something ends (or at least I can’t find any explanation on how to do otherwise). We also find that the learning curve it's a bit high and the documentation is not very user friendly but we get where it's needed eventually. Pros Easy'ish to use compared to other similar ones we tried before. Never has had a down time since we started using it. Fast reply time when support is needed. Good comunication and language skills. Cons When a problem was encountered it was really hard to debug and even the support had a difficult time doing it so. This is helpful for creating designs and uploading them onto the screen. Good Quality display and good pricing. Cons There is a bit of a learning curve to using XIBO, it can be a bit confusing at first. I do wish slides/videos could be updated quicker through an app. The website is a bit clunky. I often make videos/slides and upload to XIBO.
