### "The right signage platform for our school."

We've been using Xibo in our school for almost 6 years now and this is by far the best software we came across (and we tried a few of them).

Pros

We have been using Xibo in our school to showcase several clubes and projects on a vertical Kiosk. Everyday hundreds of students and teachers read the latest news, watch videos and stay informed of what is going on. Xibo is the platform, never let us down.

Cons

Backoffice should be more intuitive and user friendly. Sometimes it becomes a little confusing doing basic things like scheduling a playlist.

We have been enjoyed using Xibo and did end up extend our subscription for another year. Looking forward to expanding the current set up with more dashboard.

Pros

Very easy to use, especially for HR. Support team is fast and get to the point. Pricing is better than other companies.

Cons

Limited # of widgets Connector such as Power BI needs to be renew every so often Concepts of displays/campaigns/layouts are a bit confusing sometimes

### "Success story with Xibo"

For a year we used xibo for advertising in many short exhibition with three mobile led wall. We used with satisfaction DSCS9X hardware.

Pros

We choose Xibo for scalability and continuity (open source). To our surprise, we found a simple-to-use solution.

Cons

We don't like the impossibility of short scheduling without continuous communication client server in offgrid.

### "Resell possibility as MSP"

Nice solution hardware in combination with software. Central management, MSP possibility to resell the solution.

Cons

Nothing really. It's always difficult the first time to find out how everything works, but once setup for one customer, we can easily do it for the next.

We've been using Xibo for serveral years now. Once set-up it works like a charm and maintaining it is relatively easy. If you're looking for a simple signage solution this might not be suited for you. If you're looking for an advanced signage solution with many possibilities Xibo will suit you.

Pros

A lot of customizations possible. Good support and value for money. Display management and layout planning works like a charm.

Cons

Due to the many options it provides it definitely has a learning curve. The manuals and both Xibo support and community support will help you with that.

This is particularly beneficial for educational institutions with budget constraints.The platform supports various media types—images, videos, RSS feeds, and more—enabling dynamic and engaging displays tailored for both students and staff.

Cons

it is a bit of a learning curve but as an school who doens't want to learn something new ! For content creators i just give the the only options they need to simplyfi the process.

### "The best product for various operating systems and various clients"

I think it's superior to other competing products because it can be used in various locations, with various operating systems, and has various client programs, but I think it would be an even more special program if it could be used with both signage and kiosk functions at the same time.

Pros

I liked the integrated admin page that can be used on various operating systems, the overall cloud-based nature, and the fact that it can be used using open source.

Cons

There's not much, but I've been using White Label for over 10 years, and there was a compilation error for a while when changing the existing image, or it's a signage function, but it would be nice if the kiosk function was included in detail as an option.

Positive experience overall, I enjoy the features of the CMS, the open source download, and the ability for customization.

Pros

I enjoy that it is easy to use and a great solution for displaying dynamic dashboards to multiple TVs.

Cons

There is a lot to learn about but that is the nature with any product. There were some issues setting up on a Samsung TV, but with an android OS it was seamless.

Mi experiencia es bastante grata. Este sistema lo conocí en otra gran compañía que lo usa para cientos de dispositivos Android y la verdad que funciona bastante bien. Es una solución bastante económica, con muy buen resultado.

Facilidad en la puesta en marcha y envío de contenido. El interface fácil e intuitivo y hay guías de apoyo para aprender a manejar el sistema

Cons

Por ahora no puedo opinar nada negativo, quizás a la hora de contratar los servicios, puede que sea algo complicado el tema de las licencias y asignación de los mismos en cada dispositivo, pero revisando la documentación, todo se resuelve, rápidamente.

We use it for digital signage at our school and have done for about a decade now. It's being great for all the years we have had it.

Pros

It's affordable because it is open source. I appreciate that I can buy permanent license for a device and not have to pay any subscription fee. It's very reliable and works on lots of different kinds of devices.

Cons

I don't have to much to complain about. Maybe the interface is a little hard to navigate sometimes to get to some settings.

usually positive, local server setup is complicated. usually reliable and long term operation is positive.

Pros

good product for value. free windows option is great... using the cloud function is great and the price is okay.

Cons

SCREEN MANAGEMENT. usually user interface is a little bit outtaded. i dont like the user interface and some of the functions are difficult

Pros

This software is easy to set up and easy to use. When i explain what Xibo is, I tell people it's an online version of PowerPoint. With the drag and drop interface, once someone gets the hang of it they are all set.

Cons

The one thing that i find missing is transitions. We are using the system as a corporate information system thought our different sites. Something to give the presentations a little flash would be nice.

Pros

Its Easy to use and has never gone down in the 6 years we have been using it. We use this for a digital signage screen for one of our customers and they are also really happy with it.

Cons

I cant think of any really, I have to upload the loop in one mp4 which is quite a big file size. and with the size allowance we have I can only make changes once a week.

Using Xibo has been a great addition to the company, it allows us to distribute information to staff without having to send out loads of emails.

Pros

It's easy to use. Customer support is responsive Ability to purchase devices directly from Xibo is useful

Cons

I cannot think of any cons to using Xibo. There is a slight issue with purchasing licenses in that it's a really sensitive button so can be hard to get to the actual number you want.

Limited. We had few screens and did not use very much. We dipped in many times but as it was not intuitive we eneded up building our own to servce three screens.

Pros

Value for money / cross platform and ability to use on windows and android. Did not really fit in with our Mac exosystem

Cons

Not intuitive. Clunky dashboard and complicated after you had not used it for a long time. We had trouble with LED screens

Great service and screens management is easy. I can manage all screens from one location and it is best for me not to visit every site manually. Security is also awesome and during my use I face very little bugs or issues.

Ease of Use , good learning opportunity. Setup was easy and cost is also not too much. Display management was also as per expectations.

Interface is little bit old school, You have to go through multiple time to have full knowledge of interface.

### "Disillusioned"

Great when it works but the change in self hosting setup left me frustrated, disillusioned and ultimately out of pocket as I have screen licences that I can't use

Pros

I loved it for the time that I was using it. I had bought several licences and ran them on screens in multiple venues until covid happened

Cons

I originally hosted xibo myself but when I have tried to use it again to load on to my hosting it seems a lot more difficult to get to work so I stopped trying and moved to another platform

We would definitely recommend Xibo. The hardware players are very affordable, and the entire software stack is just as solid.

Pros

What we appreciate most about Xibo is its rock-solid stability, which it has consistently delivered for many years. Furthermore, the support team is always fast and helpful whenever we encounter an issue.

Cons

While Xibo offers great stability, one area where it could improve is ease of use. The interface can be a bit unclear at times, and it definitely requires a learning curve to get fully comfortable. Not everything is intuitively laid out, which means you'll need to invest some time in training to master the system.

Pros

Xibo is robust digital signage software. You can rely on it. It always work smoothly with the recommend hardware. The great thing about Xibo is that it's open source, so you're not dependent on a single provider.

Cons

The interface looks outdated and isn't very user-friendly. You need a manual to find your way around.

Pros

Easy to use, easy to implement, easy to teach others to use it. Easy license policy, almost stable during our coop.

Cons

not supporting natively most used formats like ppt, not working with embeded videos from vimeo etc. Sometimes problems after upgrade.

Overall i'm happy with Xibo and will continue to use it. It will be part ob my Business for a while.

Pros

The Integration of Xibo is fast and easy to understand with a little bit of Know-How. The Host Setup is fairly easy to manage.

Cons

The use of the Android App is a bit fiddely, it responds rather slow. I had issues with Video Playout (stuttering).
