I've used Vyond to design various lessons where animation was a perfect fit as a replacement for live action. Pros Easy to use and fast to design scenarios. It was my first product I used when I moved into my new role, and it was been good to me ever since! I only have the minor complaint of there not being more power with audio tracks and other creative transitions. Pros I love how easy it is to use, the support from Vyond, and how the platform has given us an added approach to E-Learning. I used to see the product as a finished product before I became a user, so I have always appreciated how it made training more fun. It is easy to teach others how to use as well. Cons I wish the application could run more like an Adobe editing software, where our audio is crisper, can import more fun transitions and slides into the video. Sort of an all in one application, instead of where I have to come in and plug in other material, or take a vyond video with characters and have to export it and take it elsewhere to finish the video. I feel like I can tell when a video was made with Vyond because all their designs are the same. Other than that, this is a major win for SMBs. Instead of having to hire someone to create videos, the platform is simple enough that anyone can build a video on it. So it definitely will save you money in the long run, especially if you only need a few videos. Videos is the best way to connect with customers, so it's becoming more of a necessity these days. It's worth the investment. Pros It's easy to use and you can build pretty much any animated video you need. Cons It does look very generic and I think it's easy to identify as a Vyond video. Pros Easy to use, customizable characters and scenes, plenty of assets Cons not very easy to use callout boxes or to highlight certain sections, and all of the assets that are uploaded are together, you cannot separate the your uploaded assets to different projects, so sometimes if you want to reuse assets, you have to scroll very far below or re-upload the same assets multiple times, because you cannot find it. While it's not a true replacement for motion graphics, the simple UI allows for anyone to quickly and easily create a simple video explainer without spending thousands of dollars for a professional animator. I also like how you can import your own assets. The tool is surprisingly flexible. Cons I wish there were more assets to choose from. I would love for there to be more of a community around creating assets and visual styles to choose from. For example, creating isometric videos in 3D would be cool. Review Source AA Anthony A. It has a similar template setup as most other video editing platforms like Adobe Flash or After Effects, so I think it will be easy for most people with 2D animation experience. Pros With this platform you can create animated videos in whiteboard as well as motion animation. It provides great quality and because it is a cloud-based tool you can work remotely in a team. To save time animating a character, it has a library of programed actions to select and apply to your character like talking on a phone. The graphics provide a family friendly feature for business. Cons It comes in extremely over priced versions and you have to rely on the internet's connection as this is an SaaS platform. It has a default added in logo in the basic version. April 14, 2021 4.0 Pros I created a 2-minute video for my product in one evening, including learning time. It works like PowerPoint or Google Slides, but for videos. Lots of characters/avatars to choose from, and fun to make your own character/avatar. I have already received many compliments on the video. Cons More diverse options for clipart ("props") would be appreciated, especially for my product, which is focused in mental health / physiology. The pricing differences between the trial (full watermark), $49/mo. (corner watermark), and $89/mo. (no watermark) seemed a bit steep, but I paid it anyway to have a video with no watermark. Pros The speed at which you as a user can create a video. I have no media background and I was able to take this software and teach myself to make videos that are meaningful for the business. Cons The lack of collaboration. If you are working on a video you have to download and send to different users for their feedback. It is so easy to use that it allows me to be as creative as I would like. Pros Vyond is so user-friendly! There is very little learning curve. If there is a feature I need assistance with, the help section is very efficient and useful. Cons There were a few features that were missing from most design platforms, alignment and distribution. I'm not an animator and this has been super easy to use and create videos with! It has really helped to make the training videos I create more engaging. Pros The best thing about this is that assets are pre-made, some have animations built into it, and sound effects/tracks are included.
