CEO Internet Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Really easy to use" October 8, 2019 4.0 I did not keep the membership, but if you need something easy and ready to go, without too much modification, this is for you. Pros Out of all the video creators online, Raw Shorts was the best cost/value ratio. It's easy to use. Has a ton of resources in its libraries. Cons We do not have control over time in transitions, some browsers may show bugs ending up in cut videos and other problems. I also don't like the pricing based on the number of exports. Owner Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Wasted Potential" June 24, 2020 4.0 It has not been good, very frustrating and I am saying this as a "super user". I suppose good reviews are from folks who barely used the platform and was just enchanted by the initial experience of making a short, simple video that didn't need to use all of the features. But if you use all of the features you will find that it may be one of the most frustrating platforms you have ever worked with. Its really a shame because with proper leadership Rawshorts could be incredible. Pros Compared to similar products on the market Rawshorts has the most potential. Its built to be easy to use and the AI is actually pretty good in taking text and generating a video. Lots of objects, backgrounds and media to choose from and easy to upload your own content. Cons Customer Support is severely lacking with inconsistent live chat availability and slow response times to problems. At 3pm CST every day they seem to close up shop the platform goes from being kinda glitchy a d stable to almost unusable. There are assets that you can't get access to lime "Particles" because they just don't exist. The platform doesn't save your work properly and automatically so you have to constantly re-save your work. While editing if you change the font at all it will undo all your other changes to the font like special effects, making the text bold and transitions. Once you are done creating a video you then have to export/render (which is super, super confusing when you start). Now imagine you have spent hours and hours working on a video only for it not to render correctly over and over and over again. I can show screenshots of how 3 out of 20 renders might be successful. If you aren't careful you can easily publish a video that is not the video you created rather a choppy, incomplete video with missing scenes and errors. Only when you make short videos, with few assets and transitions will it work correctly. Policy Specialist Government Relations Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Was Ok, now horrible" March 25, 2022 1.0 When we first bought rawshorts it seemed like a godsend compared our graphics design artist and executive director spending all day recording and editing a 3 minute update video. The system was always buggy but had good graphics and usually had descent automated customer service. After using the system for about two years though, everything seemed to go down hill and we ended up cancelling our subscription to the platform. When we canceled our subscription they did not want to refund the remaining funds on our account. It took several phone calls and emails of us arguing with them to get them to begrudgingly refund the money. We eventually switched to Moovly and while it has its moments, it is light years better than Raw Shorts. Do not use this product! Pros When we initially purchased Raw shorts, it appeared to have some great features such as text to speech, automatically populating graphics based on the text and the ability to export directly to youtube or download to our company files. Cons The program had good features but was always buggy. The autosave would not work part of the time, even saving it didn't always work. There were also times when recording voice overs, the recording would not save. The restriction of slides only being 30 seconds made explaining complex issues difficult, but could be worked around. Pros I LOVE the ease of designing and launching these videos. The videos were well received by all who viewed them. Cons Customer support was sometimes slow but good. Pros Easy to use. Has good effects and transitions. Makes high resolution videos. Cons Lack of features in the free trail version. subscription is a bit expensive. Pros La app web es fácil de utilizar si no necesitas hacer un gran trabajo, para algo muy muy puntual. Pero las hay mejores en el mercado. Cons Al trabajar con ella se suele quedar "pillada", no guarda bien los cambios: puedes perder horas de trabajo siemplemente por ver cómo está quedando el video y salir de la pantalla de edición. Cuando quieres recuperar el proyecto que has ido guardando, desde soporte te dicen que no encuentran nada en los servidores. Pides la factura y no te contestan. June 17, 2020 5.0 This is one of the best software's I have ever come across, it was a great experience Pros This software is Amazing!!! It has the ability to turn your written text into a visual, with a voiceover. The content it produces is customisable, we had never seen software do anything like this before. It did everything in time with the voice over for you, it was like having a person doing it for it. Cons I actually have no cons, the price was also good as although the subscriptions were too expensive for us they have an option to create a certain amount of videos for a set price.
