From a relationship perspective - it was great until it wasn't. It got so bad that I cancelled my account almost overnight and started over immediately. Pricing, though seemingly in line with "the market" (at the time, there were not many other "players" in the market) was high. In this day and age where more and more individuals are internet savvy - shipping costs and software costs became a competitive disadvantage. Pros They have clearly been around for quite a while so the app has a solution for everything. It is mostly plug and play. Cons It is not cloud based so you have to deal with local updates and it is sometimes confusing if a particular issue is based on an issue locally or based on the app. Additionally, this makes you confined to the specific device - so if you have a desktop, the only way to try and use the app from a separate location is through VPN or something similar. The app seemed dated (though functional) and it doesn't seem like there is a lot of innovation happening. The sales and support team are great when things are going well. Through the sales process, they are very informative and helpful. Day to day they are great when there is a bug or user confusion. I did find that, during renewal or when challenging conversations came up, they were quick to point fingers and become aggressive. It never happened until about a year into our contract with them, so when it did happen - it was quite shocking. Pros It integrates with our FedEx & USPS accounts, making starting a pack and ship store more seamless! Cons We haven't figured out a way to pull up ProPack Estimates when guests come back and want to go through with the job so we have to start the Packing job from scratch each time. The Cashmate system that accompanies PostalMate sometimes is a bit dated and not as modern as some other Cashier systems out there but it gets the job done! Shipping packages for your customers have been so much easier now that using PostalMate, you are easily given the cost breakdown of the whole shipment. Within seconds, you can make a shipping decision to your customer and provide them with services that will benefit you as a business as well as provide the most reliable service to the customer. I like that when you are given different carrier options, you are also shown the profit that the business will make from the different options. Along with that, this platform lets you store customer information for future shipping use. Cons Theres not much to dislike about this software. It doubles as a shipping system and a POS system. You can use it to run the whole store. Shipments are easy imported to the POS for sales, as well as being able to add other products to the sale. You can keep track of customers and their information very easily. It also allows you to add in mailbox rental. Which is a great addition. There are updates for the software all the time which keeps it up to date with the ever changing world. As well as excellent customer service and webinars almost weekly to keep everybody informed on the new features and aspects of the software and the business. Pros I love the ease of use that PostalMate offers. Simply read what is on the screen and you are on your way to shipping a package or handling a drop off. Once you have the software set up with all of your correct settings and rates, it is very simple to use. Even someone who has not had much experience with it can easy complete a sale. Cons There are a few little things that I would change with the software. Nothing major, but just a few things that I don't personally like. Such as the way the pro packing section is set up, and the way that you search into certain things like past sales and statistics.
