Pros

SocialBu is a great platform and it fits all our needs. We use it for scheduling and managing social media. It is very simple, very straightforward. It's quick and easy to navigate. We had the best experience connecting all our social media accounts in just a few minutes. And the cost is very reasonable.

Cons

It sometimes disconnects our X account and we need to reconnect it, but it really happens very rarely.

SocialBu is a lifesaver for me as a small business. I have used HootSuite as a professional communications specialist/social manager and didn't realize how astronomical the price is for that platform now. I used ChatGPT to analyze affordable social schedulers and SocialBu was top rated and I have to agree. Thank you for providing a very helpful tool at such a realistic price point. You are helping small businesses everywhere by remaining affordable!

Pros

SocialBu is a workhorse of a platform and a stellar value for money at its very reasonable price point. It's super easy to use and is especially useful for small businesses and solo creative projects like the podcast I just launched. I am really impressed with all of the platforms it can be paired with as well.

Cons

The user interface is a little bit clunky and sometimes it takes me a while to find what I am looking for. The menus/navigation is not super intuitive. I forget where different features live and the words used on the menus don't always jog my memory so I end up clicking through everything until I see a screen I recognize as being the one I am looking for. Sometimes accounts randomly become disconnected and don't seem to be able to be reconnected without deleting them from SocialBu and re-adding.

Pros

It's better than other tools for LinkedIn, but there are some additional LinkedIn features it could benefit from e.g. selecting the image preview for links, tagging - I know some of these features are being worked on and it would be good to see them come to fruition.Scheduling twitter threads is also a great feature on socialbu.It's a good tool for how relatively inexpensive it is. There is also has a mass uploader if you're looking for an easy way to schedule lots of content.

Cons

The jump between the super to supreme plan is huge for a small marketing agency; I've been asked to leave a review in order to get more accounts added to our plan.We originally got socialbu to publish IG stories, but this no longer works and the non-direct Instagram connections keep breaking so we've had to connect them directly.For our client accounts which are led by Instagram/Tiktok, we prefer Later as it's more visual.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with SocialBu. The cost to benefit ratio is fairly balanced, and their constantly updating platform means many of the features you might want right now are likely to appear in the future. Their customer service is quick to respond and help find solutions to bugs and solutions. Disclaimer: Back in 2023, I was forced to move my social media activity to another platform when the SMMS I had been using cut support for the primary platform I was using at the time. While searching for a suitable alternative, a SocialBu rep reached out to ask questions about what I needed, present some of SocialBu's features, and offer a one-time discount to try it out. I've stuck with them ever since!

Pros

1) Customer service. They're generally quick to respond to address bugs and problems you're having with your account. They'll also follow-up to make sure the issue didn't crop up again. That takes top marks in my book. 2) For what you pay, you get quite a lot of features and options. 3) If what you need is a system that can schedule to multiple accounts with the option to customize for each account, this does precisely that. It also has a solid queue system to make it easier to schedule content for high-performance users. 4) Most of the features are fairly easy to use, including the browser extension. Once you understand what SocialBu can do, it's pretty easy. 5) It works as described pretty much all of the time. I can't recall if the system ever went down in the 2+ years I've used it. 6) The roadmap is solid and the community requests section nets meaningful results. Smaller features are likely to happen pretty quickly. More complicated ones might take a few months. But if the community wants it, they'll get it done.

Cons

1) It isn't as feature rich as some of its competitors, but it's also half the price of some of its competitors. This is not a problem for me as an individual user who manages social media for a podcast as a hobby. I don't know if it would affect folks who need this system as a business solution, so do your own research. 2) The app, in my opinion, still needs a little work to iron out the kinks. It works, and it's fine, but it's not quite as smooth as it could be.

At the time, SmarterQueue had cut support for Twitter, which was the primary platform for my podcast. I needed to replace SQ's features with something comparable. While SocialBu works a little differently than SQ (it's Queue system isn't quite as intuitive and quick to set up), it does what I needed it to do. The initial setup might have taken longer than it did with SQ, but once it was set up, SocialBu worked. Beyond that, I honestly can't complain. Its other features are solid, and I don't know that I'd go back to SmarterQueue at this stage even if Twitter isn't a platform I need anymore.

I've only been with SocialBu for a week, but seriously, I was only on it for 10 minutes when I knew it was the right place for me.. and believe me, I've tried lots of them! Within an hour I'd built my queues and left my old social media scheduling platform. I haven't had any issues at all. Also, I want to give a shout-out to their customer service, who when had had an issue with needing more queues, got back to me immediately and we worked out a plan!! VERY interactive and helpful!

Pros

I like the queues, with evergreen content... so easy! It only took minutes to set up, and I didn't even need to watch any tutorial videos! I was able to just dive right in!

Cons

I have to be honest. So far, I haven't found anything not to like. In the interests of transparency, though, I should note I am an individual, not a business, and won't ever be using any of the more advanced features

I love SocialBU. They also have great support for roadmaps. I hope they just lower down the cost in the future when there are more subscribers.

I needed something that didn't have all the extra features. I needed a simple platform where I could bulk upload, schedule, and monitor. SocialBu gave me exactly that. I greatly appreciated the overall visual simplicity of the platform (not a lot of colors, straightforward buttons), while being powerful enough to do exactly what I needed to do schedule, maintain, and monitor social content.

Pros

Before I came to SocialBu, I looked through several platforms like Zoho, HootSuite, Loomly, and more. What sold me on Socialbu was their visually straightforward platform - the other platforms were overwhelming and had a lot of tools I just did not need. I highly recommend SocialBu to small marketing agencies that don't need the bells and whistle, and small businesses that need a straightforward and easy to manage platform. SocialBu made it incredibly easy for me to stick to my marketing strategy without having to navigate through unnecessary tools and resources that clogged up the screen. My 3 favorite features were: (1) Queue Scheduling. When I write up marketing strategies, I publish by day of the week - I used the Queues to my advantage. Labeling each Queue out as a seperate day to maximize my marketing strategy. This allows me to maintain my type A personality, while also having social content neatly organized in a list view. (They have calendar views, also, but I preferred the list view). (2) Bulk uploads - bulk uploading made my job SO much easier. I used their handy "how to" videos to figure out the best way to bulk upload. It was an absolute breeze. (3) The simplicity of the platform. I greatly appreciate that there aren't tons of colors, buttons, and navigations. It is a simplistic, incredibly easy to use, and straight forward platform.

Cons

Honestly, nothing. It was the perfect platform to manage and maintain my social content for multiple brands.

We are a small non-profit and got SocialBu as a lifetime deal. We are happy with its functionality, its ability to post to LinkedIn, which we are growing. We have several users and they all have been able to use SocialBu without much of a learning curve. Which is good, because we all wear many hats and have lots to do.

What I like most about SocialBu is that it is straight to the point with navigation and interface. I don't need 100 menus, I need something to WORK!

Cons

The way teams work, is a little confusing, but once I got the hang of realizing who was doing what, I had no problems.

Pros

The major factors that drew me towards use of SocialBu over other social media management/automation platforms are the features that SocialBu offers, which others don’t. This includes SocialBu’s ability to post stories automatically (no notification needed), to post video and carousel post, and their automation feature “if (this) than perform (that) action”. All of these features has made my life as a social media manager easier, and the content management for each of my clients more consistent, more reliable and more professional. Many of these features ensure we are able to make full utilisation of any social platform’s range of tactics, which has resulting in growth of sales and brand awareness as a result!

Cons

There are a few minor features I disliked about SocialBu. The process to add a new account seemed clunky - and this action was actually impossible to perform on the Chrome browser. Additionally, upload time of content can be slow, and bulk upload of content isn’t an option (at least for stories) - which means the process can be a little more tedious.

One of the most important factors to me is the responsiveness of customer service representatives. A few glitches, kinks, and cons are always going to be around no matter what software, those are understandable. But if you have great CS, that's what keeps the customers loyal and I'm happy that SocialBu's team answers my questions in a timely manner.

Pros

It was really easy to connect SocialBu with the social media channels I help manage. What drew me to trying it out was the ability to schedule Instagram Stories, everything else was a great bonus.

Cons

The software is great and the team behind it are very helpful, what I wish they would change is the ability to tag accounts on Instagram Stories using the Starter Plan. It will greatly help small businesses/firms like ours a great deal of time. Because I can't tag users/hashtags/etc, I need to manually post the stories that need tagging (which defeats the purpose of what drew me to the software). Other than that, I'm happy with it

Support is stellar, period. Regarding my integration need mentioned above, it was like having friends trying to help me out and that was an awesome experience. Besides that everytime I ask a question I receive a fully detailed answer that clears everything up. So valuable to me. Finally, during one of those conversations, I just found out about some of the technical things they are able to do ... and they don't even let people know about it.

Pros

SocialBu fulfills my need to automate posting on Instagram from an RSS feed. That's not a so common feature when browsing the competitors. It is reliable and works as clockwork. I had some specific need regarding integration and the support has been more than helpful to help me make it work. Actually I doubt I could have done it without them.

Cons

I would suggest that the queue (the place where the posts are stored before being published) be a little bit more flexible, meaning having the ability to edit the posts (those coming come from the RSS feed) before publishing or being able to change manually the order of the posts.

Easy to Use and Great Experience

Pros

Exactly what I was looking for managing our social media accounts. Meanwhile, I have a business account easy to set up and simple to use. It helps a lot in offering sales and discount schedules for pages and saves a lot of my time. It is a great app for small businesses.

Cons

I am using the web version last 3 months but I’d suggest adding an app version too for getting notifications faster.

On the whole it has been good, when I first started there were a couple of issues with link preview selection and posting to LinkedIn but the support team was very responsive and got it smoothed out within a few days.

Pros

Quickly Schedule posts for multiple users on multiple social media sites.

Cons

You can't post an image without putting something in the content field. I usually just put a period.

They are super accommodating and also very fast to reply. I can't applaud their customer service enough. I have never had difficulty getting a reply or understanding their help team. Bravo! It's also easy to use, saves time and streamlines social media management. Thank you!

Cons

I wish that I could post gifs and other similar items directly from the publish page. Otherwise it's a good basic way to post up messages, images, and links.

Pros

Socialbu was extremely easy to implement including set-up of corporate social media accounts, users and teams. The interface to monitor feedback and provide responses to people that engage is easy and intuitive.

I would like more options to stage social media posting ideas for team review and approval before adding them to a calendar and assigning dates.

I really like it, I don't love it however it does what I need it to do.

Pros

The ability to schedule stories on instagram.

Cons

The bulk schedule feature is clunky and cumbersome to use and the lack of features in posting to insta stories
