April 28, 2022 4.0 I currently manage several sites using GoDaddy and it's a low-maintenance strategy to online web presence. You don't get all the bells and whistles to a Wordpress or custom site, but sometimes you don't need all of that! If you need to get a simple site up in a few days, this is a good option. Pros I often recommend this route for clients who don't want to spend a lot of time or money, but need a simple website with just a few pages. If you need to "exist" online, this is a clean and easy way to do so. Cons The templates can be a little clunky. I also found it a little hard to apply the templates to our account in some instances. The packages can be a little tricky if you don't look for them through certain areas of your account. I used it to create a simple site with a list of services my business offers. Basic plan was enough to do this. However, for more complex websites, you'll probably need to go with an upgraded plan. Pros It is really intuitive and easy to use. You don't need previous knowledge to build a website with Go Daddy and they have a knowledge base with useful resources. You can chose a template for the site and then add additional blocks and fill them out with content. I used it to create a simple site for my business within couple of hours. Branding the site is also easy to set up. Logo and favicon are easily uploaded and there is a stock image library to choose images from if needed. Cons Basic plan does not allow advanced SEO options.Not a lot of customisation options are available with the basic plan, but in my case, I didn't really need those. Stick image library does not have that many photos to choose from. When your are a designer on a budget and cant afford word press this is a very capable and viable option. Pros The site customization options are very detailed and would easily rival that of other popular programs like word press. The plug ins and input abilities are vast and seeing as how it is very cut and paste and plug and play you can bring any attribute of a professionally made site into play and with the go daddy website builder that even the most computer illiterate person can make a beautiful well balanced and smooth web site in a reasonable amount of time and this can cut your overhead down from not having to pay to build and implement any attribute to your site Cons I would have to say I have a hard time finding something I dislike about said builder. It covers all corners of the building processes. The only issue I had is i wish there were more options in the packages you can buy or at least an option to pick your extras more in said package deals. Cons Lo que menos me ha gustado, como programador y web developer es necesario que implementen snippets para que se pueda agregar codigo , existe una parte donde deja agregar codigo pero por ejemplo cambiar todo el fondo de la pagina solamente se puede como color solido y no se puede subir una imagen. Intente hacerlo con codigo css para poder editarlo pero no se pudo. Pros I really enjoy the ability the program has for me to jump right into building my website. I was offered a variety of templates and could see the sample of what it would look like as I was building the different elements of the site. It would give you examples of what you might want to put in the different sections available to add to your page. I was able to use some of the templates and use them in a different way than suggested and loved the unique ability to do so. I also enjoy the ability to preview how the site will work with the user both on their computer or device. Cons I did find some of the features limiting in color schemes or in fonts. I can only imagine it's due to programming code and that might be the whole point of these sites; to avoid having to be a code builder. I have used several website builders and find GoDaddy to be the easiest. There are many beautiful and professional looking templates and many great stock images that are included in the website builder. You can create a very professional website in a short period of time for an affordable price. Cons I wish that there were more customization options with the templates. As someone that is in the learning stage of html coding, there are things I would like to be able to do without having to extensively research the coding aspects (changing the font or background color, for example).
