They also had different photos you could add that was approved for use without worrying about copyright issues. Pros I really enjoy the ability the program has for me to jump right into building my website. I was offered a variety of templates and could see the sample of what it would look like as I was building the different elements of the site. It would give you examples of what you might want to put in the different sections available to add to your page. I was able to use some of the templates and use them in a different way than suggested and loved the unique ability to do so. I also enjoy the ability to preview how the site will work with the user both on their computer or device. Cons I did find some of the features limiting in color schemes or in fonts. I can only imagine it's due to programming code and that might be the whole point of these sites; to avoid having to be a code builder. I wish there was more templates or flexibility within the templates to change fonts or colors or position of a text box, etc. Review Source MT Melissa T. In addition the customer support is excellent. They are there when you need them and will walk you through every single step in a truly professional manor, which is so appreciated when you not not the most technically advanced person. Cons Once figuring out the ease of getting assistance from customer support things were so much easier. I would say it is confusing at the being linking up all your devises, but it was a snap once I reached out for help. Good Customer Support is important in this day and age and GoDaddy has always gone that extra mile to make me feel good about things and answer my questions in a easy to understand format. Cons I can not think of anything to say negative other then I wish they still offered the good coupons for re-registering like they once did. It has been a truly easy experience using GoDaddy. Pros I like that using the GoDaddy Website Builder, I was able to design and upload my corporate website within an hour. It is simple to get started and to upkeep a site. Pros I utilize this software on behalf of my clients, to run their websites and storefronts online. We have used it as hosting, building, and development, depending on the stage of the client's business. The system runs beautifully, and their support personnel are always available to help. We have also used it integrated with Wordpress, which is our favorite feature, as my client's often need a Wordpress integrated site for their blogs on their sites. The price is affordable and they often offer special offers. As far as building features, it allows easy editing and smooth publishing ability. I have used several website builders and find GoDaddy to be the easiest. There are many beautiful and professional looking templates and many great stock images that are included in the website builder. You can create a very professional website in a short period of time for an affordable price. Cons I wish that there were more customization options with the templates. As someone that is in the learning stage of html coding, there are things I would like to be able to do without having to extensively research the coding aspects (changing the font or background color, for example). They claim to be a low cost hosting platform, but after research they end up being one of the most expensive after the promotional period expires. It really isn't a flexible platform, as far as the plans they offer and what you get with them. And their customer service is not great. Pros Low start up cost, promotional period is definitely lower cost than other host sites. Cons After promotional period is over almost nothing is included in the annual subscription to the hosting site. Most importantly, the SSL certificate expires after the promotion expires, and you have to purchase it separately. It's extremely costly compared to other hosting sites, and if you don't purchase the SSL certificate it renders your website useless, as far as marketing goes. Review Source Rebekah S. The customer service isn't that great either. the rep seemed more intent on taking the next caller than helping us. Pros We are able to use our company domain name in our email with GoDaddy which creates brand recognition with our clients. Cons Godaddy has a very antiquated email layout and functions. It feels very early 2000s. The settings options is very limited, such as fonts, email forwards, email storage, and the general look of it. We pay for this email but honestly, you can get a better email for free at gmail. It took many months to get our website up and running. The design team had poor communication. I had my website up and running after a couple of hours. You don’t have to know anything about building a website either, it takes you thru step by step. Pros Whenever I have needed customer support, the representative has been helpful, charming, and informative. I am always offered upgrades or alternative solutions but I never feel pressured. The program itself is easy to use, I have had no problem creating multiple websites by myself even though I had zero experience prior to GoDaddy. Cons This isn't a deal breaker, but it used to be more flexible/customizable for things such as choosing fonts and layouts. Then the revamped and you basically pick a design package and fill in the blanks. It's been like this for a while and I still like the old way better. Also, using it for real estate, it is expensive and complicated trying to link my website to links of external listings to showcase. Any industry and company. At a time when Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and apple's business model is to not have to speak directly with their customers. September 22, 2021 4.0 Overall, the GoDaddy Website Builder is a great tool to get your website onto the internet for all to see - regardless of your purpose - be it selling, information, charity, etc. it works for everyone and it fast, simple to learn, easy to change and update and very intuitive. Pros This newest version of Website Builder is much more intuitive than previous versions - and now it is so easy to select a template (or change your existing one), make changes to your content "on-the-fly" and publish immediately - then you check your updates on the web to make sure everything is how you want - not as clunky as previous versions and waiting to check updates, etc. Cons There are some limitations to the Website Builder like font sizes and placements of certain blocks. Color usage for backgrounds and certain other blocks are also somewhat limited. Reason for choosing GoDaddy Website Builder Chose the GoDaddy Website Builder due to buying our domains from GoDaddy and wanting a seamless integration with our domains, website and hosting. Keep things simple as website building is not something I do everyday or for a living - but it is a necessary component of our business.
