Pros This is incredibly easy software to use for getting a website up. It's inexpensive compared to hiring somebody to make one. Also there is some SEO baked in so it can show up on your web searches. We have been using this software for many years and like it so far. Cons I wish that there was a lot more features available. The websites look fairly basic. A little more customizability would be a nice update. It's as if someone is giving you guidance behind your back! I was really pleased with the end outcome of my website! My website is receiving a lot more traffic and sales than it used to on other apps. I am really pleased. Pros The GoDaddy website builder is highly practical and simple to use. It features a variety of designs and templates to pick from that will be ideal for your business. The 30-day free trial was really helpful in getting to know the programme and putting it through its paces to ensure it fulfilled our expectations. I really appreciate how it integrates with Square and has built-in shipping choices for when you ship items to consumers. Cons Once you've chosen a template, you won't be able to modify any of its page designs. You must simply go through the template. When it comes to functionality and personalization, it is more restricted. After developing my entire website, I discovered that I required a completely different platform than GoDaddy provided for mobile and tablet apps. I'd have to start from scratch to adapt everything to the other platform that supported mobile and tablet settings. Because I am a monthly subscriber to GoDaddy and use numerous of their products, it would be helpful for them to make the conversion for you, but it would cost them more money to do so. So this review may be a little dated if the program has improved any since I switched. I am still a GoDaddy customer, but I have migrated over to their hosting platform with WordPress. Since this move, I could not be more pleased with my website and its performance. I know the GoDaddy servers crash a couple of times a year, but they have great customer service. GoDaddy's Website Builder is great for beginners and for those who are "scared" of technology or learning how to navigate through WordPress and all of its Plugins. However, it also comes with some major limitations. The SEO functionality did not do a thing to my website or to rank it up on a Google search. You have minimal control over the speed and responsiveness of the website. And because there are limited or only GoDaddy plugins, you get what you get and there isn't much more to it. I would say that if you are on a limited budget and have no time to learn (or don't want to learn) how to use WordPress, GoDaddy's Website Builder will make you a functioning website that will serve as a great "place holder" for people that will directly search for your company. If you want to get results on Google, then I'd recommend moving over to the WordPress Platform. I chose GoDaddy based on pricing and trying out the website builder tool. It has some nice basic features to build a site for someone with no real experience. Cons During the process of building a website, I did notice that there are a few frustrating things as compared to the Wix website builder. The builder is slow and takes time to refresh, there are a few bugs that need to be fixed. There are limited layout options and color applications if I want to brand my site with intention and not use it out of the box. Pros It's easy to use and reasonably priced. Cons I have 5 or so active websites. When I started building sites for my companies many years ago, I used Yahoo!. Yahoo! was good, but they stopped offering that service so I switched to Go Daddy. The Go Daddy templates not only are limited, but they don't look very nice. So, once I heard about Wix, I switched to them. I will admit, Wix is not perfect and I think that there is still room for a better competitor in this space or for Wix to improve. Because Wix has gained some moat in this space, they have been stubborn on pricing. As a result, I decided to check out Go Daddy again recently. While they have somewhat improved their offering, it is still behind the competition and even if it is a little cheaper than Wix, not worth it. Convenient if you purchased your domain at Godaddy since you don't have to forward, redirect or transfer anything. Social media integration and linking to other content is a plus. Cons As far as cons, not being able to have a scrolling marquee is a feature I would like to see Godaddy add. If you want to control the design and functionality of your website, there are better options, more reasonably priced options. Pros We switched from WordPress to GoCentral when needing to update our website. The simplicity of the platform made the transition quick and the resulting site a major improvement from our outdated previous site. It also gave us a mobile friendly site automatically as part of the build. Cons While limited options felt nice when just knocking out the original design, the limitations have stopped us from doing many of the upgrades we had hoped once the initial site was up. There is a small set of preset fonts available, workarounds are often needed to get layouts to display as desired, and no control of the back end is available at all. I do have to say that after the 1 year was over the renewal price doubled and because it was a GoDaddy site you cant move to a new host. (we rebuilt it on wordpress) Pros It is user-friendly and great for those who just need to setup a site for themself or have Godaddy help. But not ideal for those who want to code or customize things. Cons Not enough access for customizing the website php or webserver dashboard. The renewal price doubles. Cons I am just not sure the price is right, it seems a little high compared to their competitors.
