Renewals were more expensive. Pros It was early vendor in the market with national presence. It had free domain registration and hosting options. Cons It’s cost for getting something done was too high. AI features were not enabled at that time causing trouble with making the webpages attractive. Godaddy payments are a plus as well Pros Godaddy is a good platform for no code developers like myself. Although I feel as though wix as more features, Godaddy is my go to platform to teach students how to build websites Cons I would love for godaddy to have Learning Management Software like Wix. The customer service doesn’t require you to jump through hoops for support and it’s available 24/7. Pros This Website Builder allows a novice to create a website. It’s simple to create a world class site and update it on the fly. It even guides you through e-commerce. I did it all with my phone. I have 3 websites. It’s affordable and requires no coding skills. Just your imagination. Cons None. I think this website builder offers everything I need and do t need a professional to create or make changes. The only positive they have left is the human answering the help line but I still have to wait a minimum of an hour in order to talk to someone. At one point in December 2024 I was on hold for three hours only to find out what I wanted to do was not possible. It really has been frustrating and disappointing. Pros The website is fairly easy to figure out. I chose it because they have humans that answer the phone for their customer service. Cons It's pretty basic and minimal. Like they just threw it together to have something to offer. Part of my decision to come to them was the benefit of having everything I needed in one place and not having to pay a bunch of little payments all the time. But their newsletter service is subpar and I had to go elsewhere and their scheduling software doesn't allow sales or discount codes... So I have had to go elsewhere for that as well and now have little payments again. Switched from [Squarespace](https://www.capterra.com/p/143461/Squarespace/) My newsletter service changed and wanted to start charging me so I started analyzing all my payments for my website and decided to try and find something that was all inclusive and less expensive. So I would say they are close to a 5-star product. Just needs a little tweaking! Pros I like the price and the quality of the finished products. The websites look amazing when finished. I get a lot of compliments! Cons I wish the website design program allowed more creativity from the user. It is very limiting in choices of website designs. Being a designer and photographer who does photo manipulation, I prefer to have more free reign concerning my design choices. I find it very constrictive design-wise. Also, the chat doesn't work very well. It often fails to send me messages from my customers and it is a bear to set up from the git go! April 10, 2025 3.0 It works if you are in a hurry and you need to get a website going relatively fast. Especially for those that don't care about the cost or about fancy features. Pros It's super easy to use, especially for begginers. You don't need to know ANYTHING about website building to get going. Cons It feels really limited once you get the hang of it. Also, GoDaddy in general is very expensive compared to other providers. It feels like it's full of roadblocks that want to charge you for every step you take.
