Any doubts I had about the platform were resolved by the friendly guidance of \[sensitive content hidden\]. The Citation Builder especially is an invaluable tool as it helps me save time while also providing immense value to my clients. Cons It would be super helpful to know if the citation websites provide a clean link (i.e. not a self-referencing citation website link that redirects out to my website) when choosing citation platforms. These sites defeat the purpose of having a valuable backlink if the links are redirections to my site. December 8, 2021 5.0 Solved our local listings issues - there were lots of variants and mistakes across them. This was impacting our local search results. With time this will improve now they are all updated. Pros Fantastic service updating all our listings, removing duplicates but with friendly, professional customer service. 100%. I like their onboarding and the non contract purchasing of citations to help with GMB ranking. Pros The onboarding interview and demonstration is what swayed me to go with Bright local. I was impressed with their service and the rates are reasonable Cons The price for full use ongoing rate is too high for me to afford at the moment. Considering that this is an essential piece to SEO services, it's something that we've come to rely on to quickly, accurately, and efficiently create numerous local listings and directories for a number of businesses. It's simple to update the citations, too, in the case that a phone number or address changes. Cons There are a couple of small inconveniences that can sometimes detract from the handiness of this platform. Some directories that are set up for you require email verification - going through the BrightLocal email that is automatically set up for each business and searching for that verification email can be tedious, especially when this is a process that you must complete for multiple businesses or clients. Pros I love how full-featured BrightLocal is. Every conceivable bell and whistle is there, especially now with the addition of local search grids. The fact that you can purchase citation building services within the app is pretty nice too. Cons The connections with 3rd party APIs is a key feature, and of course, BrightLocal is not responsible for other vendors broken interfaces. However, the user experience is that "BrightLocal isn't working", even when it's the "fault" of the other vendor. This is how all these types of systems work, so I can't really blame BL for any of it. Just a fact of SaaS life. The support was nice and helpful, though, and I got some of my overspendings returned. Pros Great visibility of stats, rankings, and competitors. Cons I did fix some listings that had wrong business name/phone number, and did update my hours on Google My Business, but it seems like it doesn't get reflected on BrightLocal. Also, some information is not clear - I bought credits for the citation builder, when I could just use the credits from the monthly subscription instead and possibly be better used over time than all at once. Perhaps more robust than we need, but do like having everything in 1 platform. Pros All needed tools in one place. Graphics and Dashboards easy to read. Cons The citation corrections were more difficult than I expected. Not necessarily a problem with the tool, but thought it would be easier (hands-off) to update existing citations. Pros \- Great for easy citation building (feels more adaptable than WhiteSpark say). - There are several features i.e. rankings tracking/SEO audits etc. We're simply using the citation building tool, but there's far more that the software can do. Cons \- Dashboards can be a little confusing - you definitely need to spend some time navigating your way around the platform and the tools it offers in order to get the best from it! Even though it's been a process to learn, the customer service has made it a much easier task & therefore I do recommend bright local for NAP Listings & citation services specifically. Cons This could be viewed as a positive or a negative - But the software overall has SOOOOO much that it covers, it can be a bit difficult at first trying to figure out what to hone in on when explaining it to our clients. Although, it's probably better to include something in reporting than exclude it, hence the positive side of it. An email got back to me very quickly. Pros Bright local seems to give the best bang for your buck. Cons It is not the easiest thing I've ever done, but SEO is not easy. I think this software is going to give me a lot of options for ranking my website at a higher level. I also think their citation services and no brainer. You just have to do it. We first started using the Citation Builder within their platform and quickly started using the other great tools, features, and reports within BrightLocal. We love that it takes care of listings for us and the white-label reports. They're incredibly powerful to show to clients or prospects looking for these services. Cons There are a lot of pros when it comes to using this tool, but 1 flaw that I see is for the largest package, you can maintain up to 100 locations but only have access to the 'Receive more Reviews' for only 5-6 of those locations. It has saved me a great deal of time especially for multiple clients. Pros It has some great tools that I use for my local clients, especially with Google my Business. The rankings and audit tools have saved me a lot of time Cons I wish it was a little less expensive or they had a pricing tier between the Multi-Business and SEO Pro.
