It is easy to use, reliable, and has made designing and printing my labels much simpler. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend it. Pros What I liked most was how easy it was to design my labels and set up the printer. The store where I bought the printer recommended several applications for printing my labels, but I only ended up wasting time. At least for me, they didn’t work and caused a lot of frustration. I found Label LIVE while searching online, and I’m very happy that I purchased it. Cons There is nothing I dislike or would change. Based on my specific needs and printer, however, I would appreciate the option to select a printing speed below 25.4 mm/sec, if technically possible. I believe a slower speed could produce a darker result with thermal-transfer printing. This is simply a suggestion; otherwise, I am completely satisfied! For a small business where I’m constantly switching between operations, purchasing, production, bookkeeping, marketing, and everything else, having all of our labels managed through one cloud-based platform is a huge time saver. Instead of dealing with four printers and four different pieces of clunky software, I have one system and one central source of product information. It has made our labeling workflow much more organized and professional. Pros As a small business owner — a.k.a. chief cook and bottle washer — I’m constantly juggling a dozen different things. We have four different thermal printers, and I used to spend way too much time cursing the clunky software that came with each one. Label LIVE gives me one central platform for all of them. I can keep our product information in one cloud-based spreadsheet, have it feed directly into Label LIVE, and print what I need without bouncing between different programs. The label design capabilities are also fantastic — flexible, intuitive, and capable of producing really professional-looking labels. Cons There is a little bit of setup involved in getting each printer and label format dialed in exactly the way you want it. From thermal labels to sheet printed labels. The software is very intuitive, straight forward and simple to use. There are tons of powerful features including some very cool ways to integrate spreadsheets. Everything updates live on the screen as you make changes. With the ability to script variable there really is no limit to getting exactly what you want on a label. It integrated really nicely with my 2 thermal printers, with a very short learning curve to get them printing flawlessly. I would highly recommend this software to others. Pros The developer is active and fixes bugs and addresses feature request really fast. For a one time forever licenses fee you cant compare the quality of software you are getting. Cons There really is no full detailed user manual. There is some guides online that get you pointed in the right direction, but lots of features found in the software you just have to play with to see what they do. Besides the added value of Caylan's excellent customer service, few business owners still dedicate the necessary time to their companies, and that undoubtedly makes all the difference. The support is top-notch, and they've even added some of our suggestions to the programs mere days later! Pros Label LIVE is incredibly simple to integrate with all of our production systems. We're able to print our inventory labels seconds after scanning new products through the powerful HTTP connections. Cons There are a few minor glitches that occasionally interrupt the printing process, like design elements shifting slightly, but they can be fixed in a few seconds. Pros Very easy to use: it detected my printer and which paper was loaded right away, and I was printing my first label in no time. The interface is very intuitive, even when importing batches of addresses from a spreadsheet. Cons Can't think of much to improve, does what it does very well. Perhaps a minor nit: when a label has been designed for a specific label size but a different one is loaded, having a dialog noting the fact, rather than just showing the label contents with the new label dimensions.
