The support is top-notch, and they've even added some of our suggestions to the programs mere days later! Pros Label LIVE is incredibly simple to integrate with all of our production systems. We're able to print our inventory labels seconds after scanning new products through the powerful HTTP connections. Cons There are a few minor glitches that occasionally interrupt the printing process, like design elements shifting slightly, but they can be fixed in a few seconds. From thermal labels to sheet printed labels. The software is very intuitive, straight forward and simple to use. There are tons of powerful features including some very cool ways to integrate spreadsheets. Everything updates live on the screen as you make changes. With the ability to script variable there really is no limit to getting exactly what you want on a label. It integrated really nicely with my 2 thermal printers, with a very short learning curve to get them printing flawlessly. I would highly recommend this software to others. Pros The developer is active and fixes bugs and addresses feature request really fast. For a one time forever licenses fee you cant compare the quality of software you are getting. Cons There really is no full detailed user manual. There is some guides online that get you pointed in the right direction, but lots of features found in the software you just have to play with to see what they do. Job well done. You've taken an industry that previously had half baked products and made it a joy to work with. Support has been extremely responsive and helpful. Pros Label Live is leading the industry in label software. It isn't even close. I've previously worked with Dymo and Zebra products and Label Live is on a whole other level. Their label design process is so simple and clean. The extensive barcode support is phenomenal. The amount of integration options allows for nearly every circumstance. Cons Absolutely nothing. Pros The ease of use is phenomenal. Label Live does not over complicate the label making process. We have around 550 SKUS (Not a lot in the big picture) However, the ability to upload all of our items and then create the way we want the label to look - was very easy - I imagine this could be done with many more SKUS. We also really enjoyed how easy it was to design the label. Cons Nothing so far. We have had no issues with the software. I don't think it's designed to make full page or large label publication but it does just that for me. Cons I wish there was a few more features, such as a simpler way to remove digits and decimal point leaving a suffix (p/¢) however \[sensitive content hidden\] has kindly given me a script to allow this following my business's design style. Other than some quality of life designing features required I have no complaints about this app! I use it to print price labels for records with a thermal printer (Rollo) Pros It's is easy to use I have never needed the instructions. You can move elements of the label design around and they fit into place perfectly so you can make it look correct without a lot of work. January 31, 2022 5.0 As a long-time label printer user, I decided to move from a USB-teathered label printer to a spiffy new wifi printer a few months ago, replacing my Dymo Label Printer and it's archaic LabelMaker software with a new Rollo Wireless model. After purchasing the Rollo, I quickly discovered that the label printing software accompanying the Rollo was simply not yet ready for public sale. It was complicated to use, required multiple settings changes to format different sized labels, and worst of all, it didn't work with my Windows PC at all (Rollo's software would only print 4x6 labels, so that whenever I tried to change label sizes, the label print job would hang in my Windows print queue). I contacted Rollo's technical support area for help, and while waiting three weeks for their response, I went searching for another solution to my printer problem. That's how I discovered LabelLive. And LabelLive simply solved all of my print problems with the new wireless Rollo. I simply installed the LL program, configured my label, set the proper label size inside LL, selected the Rollo printer driver inside LL, and clicked the "Print" icon. For the first time since I'd purchased my new Rollo printer, a perfectly formatted label simply rolled right out of the printer. And the same thing happened when I changed to a different label size. Now my Rollo printer works flawlessly, with all different size labels, and hardly any effort on my part to reconfigure the printer. I love it! Pros It's so easy to install and use LabelLive. The software is straightforward, intuitive, and easy to learn and use with a variety of different label formats and sizes. In comparison with other label software products available on the market, it's far better! It formats and prints different size labels on a variety of common label printers without a lot of drama; it offers none of the print driver technical issues that confound other label printer software; and it's quite simple to design, compose, and print an infinite variety of different label sizes and formats. In addition, customer support for the product is outstanding. If you encounter a problem, or have difficulty in using the software, simply contact the developers and they'll respond with a workable solution within a day or two. Cons Since I'm a relatively new user, I haven't yet encountered anything that I don't like about the product. When I did notice a few things about LabelLive that I wanted to see added and/or changed within the program, the developers were very responsive to my suggestions and implemented changes to the program within a day or two. Reason for choosing Label LIVE Because LabelLive simply transformed my new wireless Rollo from a boat anchor into a really useful little label printer. We have had 2 issues while using this software for the past 2 years, both of them were created by us not the developer. Within minutes of submitting a ticket we had a personal message and a solution to our issues. The first time we called and instantly talked to a person, and had the solution in minutes as well. I can't say enough about this... this never happens!! It's great to deal with actual customer support, and have problems fixed on the fly. I highly recommend this software, this team is the best. Everybody is happy. Pros After getting a ONE day notice that SMEAD was discontinuing their ridiculously expensive labelling system we were left scrambling for a replacement. I thought they would just remove their restrictive environment and place their non-supported software in the public domain and allow us to continue to use it but that was not the case. I needed to find a replacement QUICK. Luckily I found Label Live. I love the trial allowed for full use without worrying about watermarks etc. Once I designed the replacement labels we needed, we could start to use software immediately. The support staff was quickly trained and we purchased the full version. So far so good! Cons We are a school system and wished we could have used a purchase order. Just makes things cleaner for the auditors. Disclaimer: they do allow purchase orders for 5 or more licenses. Review Source JM Jarreth M. The ability to print off so many variables and use data so effectively is a massive boon. Customer support has been amazing in helping me figure things out, including getting a feature implemented that i suggested, and sending me a beta copy to test with. We had hundreds of label files for each product and all had a slightly different design. Now with Label live, we create one label template for each size and use the data upload to dynamically print any particular product we need. It is such a great process improvement, the actual interface is easy to use and clear, and support has been very prompt and willing to help troubleshoot any issue. We also sometimes had printing issues where the image on the software looked terrible once actually printed (blurry images or text), but with label live it gives an accurate preview of how the label will print and allows you to tweak the design as needed. Pros Label live's sleek user interface and well thought out features makes creating beautiful custom labels very easy and straightforward. By far the best reason for our purchase was the feature that allows you to upload a spreadsheet and customize variables on the label - so instead of hundreds of label files for our products, we only need one label file and one spreadsheet to indicate the product name, number and barcode. Now all our labels look great and we have a new consistency across our labels. Pros The software seems very easy to use BUT it did NOT print control codes embedded in a data matrix. I sent a message to your support team and Caylan responded and asked what I needed. I explained the feature I needed and he added that feature and sent me a copy THE SAME DAY. This is absolutely amazing. After this experience I showed my distributor ( a multi-billion $$$ electronics distributor in the US ) and they were super impressed. The usually recommend a different brand but they were really impressed and said they wanted to learn more about your products. Cons I don't see any con's at this point. Thank you, David Franklin Pros When researching for professional label software, as a small company we were quite surprised that the two large contenders in the label arena were very expensive and involved yearly fees, maintenance contracts etc etc etc, which amounted to VERY EXPENSIVE! for a newly established small business. When I came across LABEL LIVE, I was sceptical at first as the price for the pro version was very reasonable and did not involve complicated maintenance contracts and yearly subscriptions. I initially paid for the home version to see how the label software would suit our EPSON C300 label printer and DTM FOIL printer and it performed all the functions needed to create great looking professional labels. I upgraded to the PRO version a few days after! Cons The only small gripe and really it is small is the transferring of the licence if you need to reinstall windows on your existing computer, however not a big issue. It is very easy to print labels, barcodes, write text and format text. I had a few questions and the customer service is super fast to respond and responds within a few hours. He did an incredible job of helping me fine tone some numbers in order to get the dimensions correct. The fact he figured it out by just seeing a picture, in no time at all, was awesome. Just his support and assistance made going with this company a no-brainer! Pros Software is very easy to use and gives you options to adjust multiple facets of each label. Also a big bonus of being able to save sheets of labels - printing 120 at a time is typical in our office. Cons Having to save the labels on our computer hard-drive versus the label software itself, takes a bit of time in terms of opening a saved label sheet to print.
