### "Instagantt is a great tool, we very happily recommend it."

April 27, 2026

5.0

Our team of 5 manages all of our projects and tasks on Instagantt. It's been consistently great and really is THE right tool for us.

Pros

It is great value for money: our team gets a flexible and powerful Gantt management system, easy to use and elegant to visualise. We get all that we need in one place, have not experienced any downtime or difficulty in using it day in, day out.

Cons

I did find the payment system a little cumbersome, but the Instagantt team was always very flexible and helpful.

### "Flexible and Easy to Use"

May 6, 2026

4.0

Pros

The software is extremely flexible and easy to use while being cost-effective. It has many easy-to-use features to track schedules, progress, assignees, milestones, etc. Our business uses it primarily for schedule tracking and workload forecasting, which we rely on for our day-to-day operations.

Cons

There are no permission levels available. Having the ability to restrict users to read-only or a mix of read vs. write access would be a huge upgrade.

Still learning how best to leverage Instagantt

Pros

User interface, links to Asana, ability to export image or PDF.

Cons

The ability to make dates of one task (or more) flexible so sliding task dates of linked tasks keeps the final end date of the project.

### "Nice tool for organizing team schedule"

May 15, 2026

4.0

Instagantt is very helpful tool for organizing team schedule. It is also easy to share goals and what needs to be done by when. I love Instagannt!

Pros

Easy to edit. especially the re-schedule on the Gantt chart. Easy to share the schedule with my team and relevant department.

Cons

No collaboration with MS tools. No function for process automation. e.g. REST API. Am I missing something?

### "AI puts one of the most powerful project management tools against the wall"

May 15, 2026

4.0

I like it a lot, it is very professional and it has a good look and feel. Unfortunately the IA is growing very quickly and we can get similar behaviors with a good prompt. :( . I'm your fan but Instagantt needs to scale very soon.

Pros

the way that I can move dependences, the overview the projects and the visualization of the workload. Its minimal look & feel is very professional.

Cons

Move task, create sections results difficult once they have been created. it is some rigid. To share with partners and the collaboration with stakeholders is not possible. IA would be interesting to use it into this app.

Overall it's great, but adding sync features to other software would be beneficial for a project management scenario

Pros

multi project view, workload view, schedule adjustment via drag, adding task and sections easiness, task assignment.

Cons

Kanban feature not really used, don't really understand Critical path, unable to link to other software like JIRA or Notion. No external API to do automation.

super nice tool, thanks a lot, handy workflow for fast common project plans, even when its just an overview of what and how things can get in conflict; we are not working so far with ressources, as we use another tool for our controlling/project-management we would need to double-insert the data to keep track

Pros

Easy workflow of putting task, periods and milestones, sharing the masterlink and of cause, online-view is the most handy for long plannings in calendar-day-view

Cons

export regarding paper formats is an issue, holidays or other highlighted periods go wrong in export, when sorted in weeks

### "Great Software"

April 22, 2026

5.0

I’ve been using Instagantt for the past 8–9 years and plan to keep using it going forward. I haven’t come across anything else that’s this simple yet still powerful enough to manage my projects, and it’s very cost effective as well.

Pros

Very easy to use and flexible enough to suit any type of work. It offers plenty of options to manage projects exactly the way I need.

Cons

Lags a little bit on big projects. nothing else, the program works great and I like that it is cloud based.

Pros

The costumer service is great. They answer both complicated and dumb questions with the same level of care and attention. and are always trying to find a solution with you.

Cons

### "A good product, yet some features could be improved"

October 28, 2020

3.0

It was easy to launch, overall, the team seems to like it, it has enough features to be useful. However, I'd like to have more visibility regarding the upcoming features, what you have planned to develop. Some features are really painful for the tech team (entering a specific amount of hour a day to follow the workload for instance, not being able to archive done section...)

Pros

\- The interface is user-friendly, easy to understand the core features of product. - Collaboration with multiple users is easy to handle. - There are all the basics someone would like in a Gantt, and the UI is nice. - The workload view is really nice

Cons

\- The workload management is not optimum -> I'd like to handle it with days worked and not hours, it becomes too specific when you work by the hour - Section should disappear when all their content is done (or at lease archivable) otherwise, they remain visible forever and spoil the clearness of the gantt. - It's also painful that the tasks can't be linked between workbooks -> let's say I want to have a stakeholder view versus a developer view, I don't want to work on the same workbook, and yet I have to duplicate all my modifications because it's the same tasks overall - The milestone management is not usable (milestone shouldn't be included in section, and it shouldn't be movable -> if my tasks go beyond my milestone, I'd rather have the tasks turn red than move the milestone away) - Some features seems to be glitched -> when you filter on a tag but didn't expand all, some features are missing.

### "Instagannt and Asana are a perfect match"

January 26, 2021

5.0

We are really pleased with how Instagannt allows us to create quick gannt charts for our projects and allows us to brand and present these to clients in a very professional manner. Compared to other comparable tools out there is looks nice and the strong integration with live task management is what makes it a winner.

Pros

We started to use Asana and were really happy with it for it's flexibility as a task manager. We'd used seperate gannt chart software such as omniplan previously but it felt very disconnected from the tasks which we managed elsewhere. Instagannt cleverly solved this problem by bringing together live tasks with a controlled Gannt chart system. It's use of tags allows us the flexibility to share external facing tasks and milestones with clients whilst keeping internal focused tasks on the project private.

Cons

It does take a little bit of consideration and thinking to integrate with Asana and use for general task management. Overall I think this is worth it as to have the strong integration between the two is invaluable. Gaps in the products features have also been improved in the time we have used it.

Switched from

[OmniPlan](https://www.capterra.com/p/82208/OmniPlan/)

We needed a planning tool that was more integrated with our live task management which was a more efficient way for us to work.

### "The Gantt chart software we've been looking for!"

December 21, 2021

5.0

Our small business has been searching for a simple Gantt chart software to help us organize our projects. We need a big-picture view of our overall timeline for the year to assess our workload at any given time, and also the ability to open a detailed view of certain tasks when needed. We wanted to be able to color-code the chart for quick comprehension, and didn't want to get bogged down in too many other features. We tried several other softwares (ClickUp, Monday.com, TeamGantt) but they were too complicated (required watching many videos, had many features we didn't need) and also didn't have the features we were looking for (color coding, easy to group and copy tasks, easy to change views of which level of tasks show up on the chart) and were more expensive. Instagantt is exactly what we needed! It also costs a fraction of the other softwares we looked at. Amazing!

Pros

Easy to use; easy to understand. No videos required - I looked at it and could understand how to use it within minutes. Very easy to add and organize information. Has color coding on the Gantt chart. Shows tasks in a comprehensible way.

Cons

There seems to be some glitch with the dates - many of the dates I put in showed up incorrectly and I had to re-enter them.

### "Amazing features and ease of use for such a low price per seat! "

August 3, 2021

5.0

Pros

Incredibly easy to setup, configure and feature rich. I am still amazed. No I'm not paid, just an experienced user with so many online project management and Gantt. This one delivers and makes me look good to the management. That is a plus!

Cons

The import features does not like french accent, it replaces everything with a ? Requiring manual fixing after import. And the import activities do not show in order of import from the file. A small quirks..

### "Simple and fantastic!"

June 18, 2025

Great! Simple to use and much better than the Asana Gantt charts/timelines that always take awhile to optimise

Pros

I like the simple integration with Asana and the easy options for exporting the Gantt charts as a JPEG or PDF.

Cons

I had one very long timeline and the output was very small. I had to fiddle with the Asana project to try to make the output look less silly. But this has more to do with my project than with Instagantt :)

### "Instagantt for Asana"

September 18, 2024

Easy to configure and connect with Asana projects. good support

Pros

simple and effective integration with Asana

Cons

not complete integration with Asana, for example with Espected Hours and Actual Hours, if you have Asana installed in a language different from English (that appears strange because the fields are standard in Asana, but named in correct Asana language version).

### "A great tool that can grow further"

January 12, 2021

4.0

(continuing from above) a snapshot of that to share with others. But then it means that I have milestones separated from the tasks needed to achieve them... Maybe.... a "milestones only" view would solve the problem, and remove all the nitty gritty that people don't have time to look at. That could be an idea actually...!

Pros

I load Asana project onto Instagantt, from back when Asana did not have a timeline feature. I keep preferring Instagantt even now: it has a more detailed and professional feel, I can zoom out and have a bird's eye view on very complex projects (200+ tasks)..which is why I take time building out ganttcharts (don't need them for simple proejcts..)

Cons

It has a few bugs and sometimes is a bit finicky. The dependencies for example, they do not always work well and I still don't seem to have understood how tasks will react to change if they are dependent or have dependants. The view is not always very easy to read, and I sometimes need to scroll up to actually check a task against the date bar on top, to see when it's actually starting/ending (Yes, I could use the start/end date on the left, but I don't want to, since I am using a gantt chart I want to just look at the gantt chart). Making the vertical lines thicker or blacker could help. Or replicating the date bar at the bottom too. Another small thing, being asked all the time if I want to order tasks by date is annoying. Fine to get a reminder as a new user, but after 4 years I know where to click to get that. Finally, I don't have specific ideas to propose, but working on improving the visualization tools to get the full picture and share with others would be great. I spend a lot of time on instagantt as part of my role and it helps me a ton, but whenever I share with the rest of the team, they hardly ever take the time to look at the whole thing and try and understand,... it just looks too daunting to them ! So in the past I used to create a second instagantt project and call it "project X - high level", keeping it simple for sharing purposes. Now I simply create a Milestones section on top of the project with the key milestones and take a snapshot of that t

### "Great way to add Gantt and resource management functionality to Asana"

January 12, 2021

4.0

Overall, Instagantt adds exactly the features I want to Asana. I can create project timelines, easily create dependencies, and use the org-wide workload view to balance resources.

Pros

I started using Instagantt to create timelines/Gantt charts and manage resources with my Asana projects before Asana implemented this functionality natively. When Asana added these features, I tried them, but decided I liked the way Instagantt handles these items better. In particular, there still isn't a way to see resource availability across ALL projects/tasks in Asana like what Instagantt does. I also really like the ability to customize and publish a client-facing project plan from Instagantt without giving my clients access to our Asana project.

Cons

Generally, the Instagantt UI is not terribly friendly for users who don't have project management experience. Also, when I publish public snapshots, sometimes the Gantt charts get a little wacky (dependencies not connecting or things shifting a day).

### "Nice looking SW but lacking some capabilities"

April 17, 2022

3.0

Pros

nice visuals, easy learning curve for the simple stuff.

Cons

half-baked or entirely missing core features I expect in a Gantt app: I should be able to clearly tell the software that some parameters are constraints I set and it shouldn't touch them (e.g. task length, task B should start exactly when task A ends ) and other parameters should be set by the app automatically according to the constraints (e.g. task B start & end dates). if you want to enter dependencies graphically, you must already have dates for the task so it's on the chart, and then it already refuses some constraints because it has dates already... I can't set a task to depend on a "aggregate" task's end. This mean if I have phase A of the project with subtasks X, Y and Z, I can't make phase B start when phase A ends. I can manually see which of X, Y and Z are the latest (right now... could change!) and set phase B to depend on that latest subtask, but not on "phase A" itself. More generally, aggregate tasks are very "weak" objects, you can't set dates or length for them (and have their sub-tasks follow those constraints), it seems like they are "visual ornaments" only with no real power. There are a few other issues that are less "core" related but are very annoying, like not being able to minimize columns to my liking, it seems to have to fit the longest cell or something. This causes a too wide task list, with not enough screen real estate for the chart itself. I find myself having to minimize the task list constantly to get meaningful insight from the chart.
