January 14, 2021 5.0 For organizations that are looking for a low-key / easy-entry planning tool, InstaGantt is a great alternative. It creates more awareness for the importance of planning your actions and the way everything is related. Pros It is simple It is easy to use It is not expensive It allows for creation of simple but clear Gantt charts It offers a very easy to use export tool (for JPEG images etc) Cons I would welcome a way to copy paste lists of actions directly into the tool. I would welcome a more simple dragging and dropping of actions in the Gantt charts. Instagantt makes it easier for me to track, adjust, and manage my efforts as work demands change. Pros Probably because it is an improved product over what I used to have to formulate for myself in Excel. It helps that it links to Asana for management reports as I find it easier to work almost exclusively inside Instagantt for task/project set-up and monitoring. Pros Easy to use, very fast, simple and has all the features I need Cons I’ve been searching for a software that would allow me to create a gantt and add resources without having them as users. This one allows me to do this and much more, but I would love to be able to change resources calendar without having to add them as users. I work with resources in different timezones with different holiday calendars. That would save me a lot of creativity when I need to plan vacations and create resources backup plan. When % progress is less than time using on the task the Gantt bar should change color from blue to yellow/orange. Sometimes the task detail becomes stubborn to open. It makes me right-click to open the details field. Even with right-click, it denies opening. Rest, all is well and good.
