Pros It does what other products do so i guess a pro? Cons many functions don't work and help desk is non-existent after several emails, messages finally after several days got one response saying they know they have a problem with the up load function....that was it no solution, just deal with it not working! I was trying to up load my task list from CSV file and it had 900 tasks and the excuse for the import stopping on last task in the import was, they have problem. Anyone using this software has lots of task for a project. I broke down the tasks in excel/csv to up load small amounts and it up loads the tasks out of order. so task 1 on my list is task 12 in instagantt mixed amongst unrelated tasks. TeamGantt es muy buen software, pero honestamente MUY caro, 3 veces más caro que InstaGantt. InstaGantt es la que más se ha asimilado a teamgantt, y estamos muy contentos. January 16, 2021 5.0 I like the graphics and ease of use more than SmartSheet. Instagantt is more intuitive. I would like more features, but overall, it's nice software and I will continue to use it. Pros The format is clean and the way tasks can be quickly added is very convenient Cons The sections and tasks definition took some time to get used to. I am still working to understand how to easily link tasks without connecting via the mouse. A simple predecessor/ successor box would be faster. It would be great if you could allow users to add custom columns. This may be present, but I haven't yet located the feature. I would also appreciate a simple Task List feature. I am currently using a SmartSheet Task List and Instagantt gantt chart, since I cannot locate a task list feature in Instagantt. Hopefully that will come with upgrades etc. Pros The way it syncs with Asana - especially the resources/calendars. And how similar it is to FastTrack. It doesn't crash and we love it being online compared to downloadable software. It was can accessed anywhere. Cons Sometimes the sync function doesn't work - for example Asana says the wrong start date of a project. But you simply refresh and sign back in - then reset the date and it syncs back up no problem. The main thing is the inability to add bank holidays - non working days. It would be soooo useful, if on bank holidays, the time tasks take automatically extends, without changing it's duration. For example it should still take 2 days to complete the task as it stretches over a weekend AND bank holiday. This would mean we can avoid changing the length of tasks if they move on/delay past any bank holidays. We perform several projects at once, and it's much easier to track them in Instagantt compared to the other tools we use. Cons No 2FA. This is huge. Main reason I'm writing this review. I'm surprised that out of all the project management solutions out there, there is no multi-factor set up. Most people looking for a solution like this are using it for a business aspect. We are considering using a sole platform for all of our project time-lines, and Instagantt was in the mix before we found out that it did not offer 2FA. Pros I love that we can map out the tasks we set in Asana in a visual gantt format. Being able to then combine this with a workload view to be able to sure that we're using the team's time appropriately is invaluable. Cons The connection with Asana is slow. Sometimes so slow that it's hard to load at all. This is apparently to do with Instagantt reading subtasks in subtasks (in subtasks), but it's such a problem that we nearly had to stop using it. Now, I'm looking for another program. Pros Spent a year refining a system that synced with asana and it was phenomenal. I could look at the gantt, adjust dates, and it would automatically adjust all the asana dates. To see the overlaps of staffing and timing, a gantt chart is the most effective tool. Cons Then it stopped syncing. It just spins. Support simply said that I had too many subtasks. That was the point. I archived a bunch of tasks, deleted a bunch of subtasks. Just says syncing but never does. We now have to go back and redesign our entire system, because the gantt won't ever load and it was my main scheduling tool. Asana integration is useful. The usability is great, very intuitive features i.e. baseline overlay, auto sort by date, moving with dependencies, adding tasks directly to chart, etc etc. So many great features. Prints very well & share mode is great too. Cons Nothing major. Lack of a task list. I personally only use asana for it's integration with instagantt. I'd use instagantt alone if there was a task list similar to asana. Reporting isn't as strong for me. I use the progress burn up chart, but I don't resource the project through instagantt (or asana) so workload/overview aren't great for me. Having setup dependencies of the sub-tasks within the various processes means that if there is a delay, the rest of the project is adjusted and the client has an instant update of the new time frame. Pros By far my favourite feature is the ease at which it generates GANTT charts based on our production task planning, which can be customised in various ways based on your needs. Cons While I appreciate that you have Asana integration, I would LOVE if InstaGantt offered some sort of task management functionality. Just a few areas that can be improved as above, and hopefully aren't too complex to add. Pros That it is online, and simple. Integration with Asana is fantastic, and essential for us. Works with our iPad Pros which we rely on for site use. Great export PDF and JPEG functions. Cons Easy for users to make a change in Asana (not an instagantt problem). I would change permissions so there are tiers. I.e. a user that can view, but not make changes to the programme. Need to allow for dependency lag. I.e. MS Project, set a dependency and then say +FS 1wk or similar. That is really key, and seems like something easy to implement. Remove the limitation on shifting a "group" header. We use subtasks for material procurement and other tasks which sometimes don't need any programme/dates.
