Pros The workload feature by resource, it is valuable to know see the workload across resources. Cons Unable to get a full picture of the roadmap with Asana integration. If a task or milestone is assigned to more than one project the tool places the task anywhere randomly. I have to break up projects and boards into their own spaces to get some sense of the roadmap. Pros Easy to use and connectivity with Asana.... Cons The way we have to create depencies betwenn task is not intuitive and takes to many clicks. We should simply be able to create an arrow by cliking at the end of a task and then the begining of anither one. Would be great to integrate an asset management tab to this tool. If we could assign an asset/equipment to each task, we could the have a tab to make sur we have not planned to task at the same time on the same quipment. Reason for choosing Instagantt not make my selection yet. I wouldn't recommend its use for any complex projects. Pros Instagantt is great for simple, quick projects. It's integration with Asana works really well and it is simple enough for non-PMs to use and understand. Cons It export capabilities are limited and it gives you an awkward PDF/Print to use. It works much better than Asana's built-in Gantt tool. Pros Instagantt's integration with Asana has been a lifesaver! Being able to view multiple projects in Gantt view or workload view has made my role so much easier. Combined project views allow me to view each team member's workload and adjust projects accordingly. If projects are late, it's so simple to highlight all of the tasks and to adjust the due dates accordingly. Cons Projects may not always sync perfectly with Asana and it can take some time to load if I am viewing a combined group of projects. I like best the baseline tracking / snapshots that can be custom branded and private links can be sent to customers. Cons Wish I could export into a traditional calendar view for those that prefer to see in that way. Wish the master link for public sharing didn’t have to be updated with a new snapshot but was a live view. Would like to be able to replicate works within one project. It isn't ridiculously expensive and that makes it accessible for SOHO businesses. The support team are top-notch and resolve things quickly. New feature requests are also taken onboard. Pros Gantt chart set up is a breeze Import facility makes onboarding from another system much less of a headache Export/sharing facility is great and much better than a simple screen-grab Cons Moving multiple tasks at once isn't supported, which is a shame The import facility could be better if it had a template which allowed tasks and subtasks to be imported Switched from [GanttPRO](https://www.capterra.com/p/142293/GanttPRO/)[Asana](https://www.capterra.com/p/184581/Asana-PM/) Asana lacks some features surrounding subtasks which are present in Instagantt. GanttPRO is too expensive for a SOHO user (in my humble opinion) and lacks some basic features surrounding selectivity of tasks. Microsoft Project, well, you need a PhD in Rocket Science to be able to operate that these days...it has just become too complex and too expensive. It has 90% of the important features required for 90% of the projects. Pros Very intuitive, feels more like drawing a gantt chart, it is almost fun to create a gantt chart using Instagantt. Cons 1) Lack of a cash flow view. It only shows the total cost. And that is easy to use. Instagantt meets our requirements perfectly. And (helpful in face-to-face meetings) the convert-to-pdf-tool actually works perfect. Cons Importing from Excel works, but it is not as easy and intuitive as the rest of Instagantt. It makes the weak Asana attempt at building a timeline look embarrassing for Asana. It drops legacy products like MS Project in the dust. Pros Quick and easy to set up; links to Asana seamlessly; quick & easy to export and share. Cons Snapshots cannot be given authenticated access so certain corporates will not allow snapshots to be published 'publically'. When you connect more task it would be useful to be able to block the type of connection: End- Start / Start-Start / End-End, this feature il necessary because if you move task in workload the type change. Com, Gantt charts galore, airtable, Monday and many other tasking solutions this is the best product for creating schedules based on multiple dependent tasks that is easily used as a weekly meeting go to system and not just hidden on printouts and white boards. Pros the user experience, ease-of-use, layout, performance, real-time nature, multi-user capability is all perfect for a modern organization. Cons they're working on their integrations and we could use slack and collaboration tool integration and I'm sure that will be coming in a new feature according to the company. Instagantt updates Asana instantaneously so I don't have to worry about it. Instagantt is a MUST HAVE for managing projects, tasks, and operations for my team. I love it. Pros Super easy integration with Asana. Dragging and dropping tasks and parent tasks is intuitive and fast. And I LOVE that I can share a snapshot with my team via a link. Cons Dragging/dropping gantt bars (tasks, parent tasks) is sometimes is buggy. Reason for choosing Instagantt Instagantt's gantt view is much better than Asana's Timeline View. And it's affordable. Cons When reverting to past actions (ctrl+z) there were many issues with reverts as it sometimes changed deadlines and durations. It would be good to have better control of this, maybe a history tab to choose which actions to revert. Moving tasks with dependencies is also difficult, it would be best to be able to have more precision over it when dragging task dates. It would also help to be able to set the dates based on number of working days, not just on weeks. For instance I may work 2 days then 3-days a week, interchanging each week, and there is no easy way to do this currently. It would also help to be able to set the number of days per task which takes into consideration the working days I have in that week, so if I work only 3 days in a certain week, if I say a task will take 6 days, it will span across 2 weeks automatically. Since this is a cloud software, using my portable PC, I directly update the plan in the workplace of the members of the team. This is not possible with other planning software installed on the PC.
