My overall experience with Homerun has been really positive. It’s brought clarity and structure to how we manage presales, and it's made a noticeable impact on the way we track and communicate our work. The platform is easy to use, fits well into our daily routine, and genuinely feels like it was built with presales teams in mind. From implementation to day-to-day use, everything has been smooth, and it’s helped us work more efficiently and collaboratively across the business.

Pros

1) It’s super easy to use and fits perfectly into our daily presales workflow. 2) I love how clearly it tracks POCs and ties them back to actual deals. 3) The platform helps us stay organized and aligned across teams and regions. 4) It gives us real visibility into presales efforts, which we didn’t have before. 5) Being able to track feature gaps and revenue risk has been a huge win.

Cons

Reporting for external audiences could be easier to customize.

Rolling out Homerun transformed our Solutions Engineering team. We replaced disjointed Salesforce reports and scattered spreadsheets with one workspace that SEs enjoy. Setup was quick; Slack and CRM integrations were running in hours. Dashboards show deal velocity, win rates, and individual workload, allowing me to rebalance assignments before stress builds. Tying Jira feature requests to ARR arms product proposals with real revenue data. After twelve months we cut evaluation time by six days and lifted win rate five points. Morale improved, and onboarding new hires became lightning-fast. Custom report building remains a bit clunky, and postsales teams still need a similar tool, yet those gaps are minor beside the gains. Homerun is our new OS, saving time and guiding smarter decisions.

Absolutely great support, approachable and understanding. Willing to walk you through things that aren't directly a Homerun issue.

Pros

As a novice in SalesForce, the support team personally walked me through the integration steps and ensured I had all the links and connections working to have efficient two way syncing and massively reduced my administrative workload. It is very straightforward 1,2,3 step process to setup up Homerun Presales and get using and seeing process efficiencies.

Cons

Being such a new product to market, more integrations/APIs are needed to leverage other solutions and have a single pane of glass to see the status of deals.

### "Homerun really knocks it out of the park!"

It was better than most vendor interactions. The team was personal, professional and did a great job of working through our internal inefficiencies. We needed a solution that would help centralize and standardize SE operations. Several issues we had were multiple processes and decentralized collateral, which caused repeated work, inconsistent customer experience and longer time to close customer deals. We used Homerun to automate POV processes, activity tracking, resource request and routing, knowledge management with SE workspace, reporting and pipeline review. The team was patient and pragmatic with their approach and delivered everything promised on time.

Pros

It was by far the most aligned with how SE workflow actually operated. Our organization did an evaluation with multiple products and Homerun really stood out for the things that mattered to our goals. Some of the things that were immediately beneficial were activity tracking, POV process and the SE workspace. The benefit of getting all SE's using this platform provided a level of efficiency and business continuity that immediately increased our organizational maturity.

Cons

Would have liked to see a more modern UI. Some of the other products we evaluated were beautiful but confusing. Homerun is not ugly by any means and it is easy to figure out how to use the tool.

Excellent experience so far with product and team, the support that they are providing to us is top notch

Pros

The ease of use is one of its strongest aspects: intuitive, well-designed, and requiring minimal training to get up and running. Implementation was very quick, thanks to the well-structured support from the Homerun team, which made the process seamless. The number of features available is extensive, but one of my favorites is the ability to track missing product features and quantify the revenue at risk because of them. This makes our internal conversations with the product team much more valuable. POC tracking through custom "Evaluation Plans" is also one of the best features offered by Homerun, as it allows us to track the work we do with our clients in a consistent way across opportunities and regions, too. Integrating with other tools in our tech stack like SFDC has been smooth, making it even more valuable to our daily operations. The presales team uses the platform daily for logging meeting notes, demos, or POC activities, which has significantly improved our efficiency and visibility into presales activities.

Cons

Reporting can be better, but you can always export the data using the API and use external reporting tools so this is not a show stopper to start using it

Overall it has been an absolute game-changing experience switching from an adhoc presales tracking system to having everything all together in Homerun.

Pros

It's impossible to choose just one feature as the best thing about Homerun -- 1. We're able to add custom discovery, ROI, delivery, and business questions to evaluation plans without adjusting a ton of forms, moreover we can easily share our notes with the clients. 2. Easy integration with SalesForce to push and pull recorded data into fields the Homerun team helped us set-up. 3. The presales sentiment field allows the team to quickly communicate concern or encouraged deals. 4. Integration with Jira and Github allows us to communicate directly with product teams without managing different systems. 5. The Homerun team absolutely crushes it in the customer service department. \[sensitive content hidden\] are the absolute best. Our questions get answered quickly and they're willing to hop on calls to troubleshoot.

Cons

Biggest downside is the tool is so impressive that our CRO keeps asking for additional functionality and our AEs keep on asking for accounts!

Prior to HomeRun my notes and files were all over the place. Notepad word docs saved on network shares or box or confluence. HomeRun gives me a single location for all my data that I can reference whenever I need it.

Cons

To be honest, the only thing I could consider a "con" was that some fields have a save option and others do not. The more I use it, the more I don't even notice it anymore.

Overall, my experience with Homerun has been really positive. It’s one of the few tools I’ve used that feels genuinely built for pre-sales — not just a sales tool with some extra fields. It simplifies my workflow, gives great visibility into the status of each engagement, and helps our team stay aligned without the usual back-and-forth. It’s intuitive to use, and the features that are there actually add value instead of creating noise. Of course, there are areas for improvement — like better integration with call tools and automating meeting notes — but even with that, it’s made a noticeable difference in how we operate day to day.

Pros

It's extremely easy to use, but for me what's most useful is that it focuses on the pre-sales functionalities and processes I need without the noise of all the rest of data related to the opp, enabling a great overview with just a glance.

Cons

Call, recordings and minutes management still need to be handled in separate tools, duplicating information and note taking.

Homerun excels in ease of use and providing a one-stop shop for presales employees. It has great calendar integration for activity tracking and the product evolves quickly. Customer feedback is taken and the team does a great job in implementing it. Further the support is outstanding despite Homerun being still a small startup.

Cons

There were a few sections that didn't have any value for us and a few features that might be early stage (but weren't relevant for us).

Personally, Homerun is being used to help my Principal SE team track where they are engaging in opportunity support across the business. We use this to determine if there is a need for enablement across the SE team by analyzing frequent requests for assistance in deals, demo customization, POCs. etc. We also use this to track POCs. We track how many are open, the completion % of those that are open, and evaluate the number of days they have been running to ensure we are sticking close to our ~2-week POC time frame.

Pros

Prior to HR, our team was utilizing a CRM that had built with Sales reps in mind first. Much of the functions, fields and reporting was structured in a way that allowed for the sales team to have good insight into their business, but it made it very hard to track Sales Engineering metrics. Homerun has given our team the ability to build custom metrics, review sentiment on deals (separate from the sales reps) and therefore gauge pipeline better. Tracking activity was also one of the biggest wins we had. Manually tracking activity in the CRM lead to misrepresented metrics and activities across the team, making it very difficult to make decisions on quota alignment year over year, areas of improvements that could be made and nearly impossible to identify what good looked like. Lastly, the tool has revolutionized how we organize and track our POCs through the use of Evaluation Plans. These give us an easy format to provide Success Criteria to the prospect, transfer documents the prospect and evaluate overall success rates of POCs. At the end of the day, the ease of use and learning curve is very low.

Cons

I would like for there to be more granular tracking under the Evaluation Plans that allow us to measure each specific line item/Success Criteria and the time taken on each so that we can more granularly track what is being used the most in a POC, where are we getting stuck etc. With that said, the HR team has committed to building this out. Another positive item working with these folks. If we need it, they will find a way to build it. Customer support has been great.

Pros

Homerun is a purpose built tool for SEs to reduce friction and stay on top of deals. The platform really helps me keep my opportunities organized, like "post it notes" to remind myself where each deal is and what the key risks are. Homerun does an excellent job of reducing CRM friction. Unlike other tools, it's easy to input information and see what matters most to me as an SE. Less time spent doing admin in SalesForce. Honestly the calendar sync alone is worth its weight in gold! The reporting, filtering, and dashboard features are flexible and powerful enough to show me what's important. The live eval plans seem like a great way to stay on top of POCs and communicate with my prospects.

Cons

I wish there was a mobile app! The charting functions are powerful but can be a bit clunky. I wish I could setup custom Kanban views to organize opportunities based on priority to me and open action items.

Just the other day I reached out to the Sales Exec on a deal and come to find out there was a gap and the client was waiting on a document from our company. Without this tool I would have been waiting for a ping from the Sales Exec instead of the other way around. I would have just assumed the client had received the document I sent. I have genuinely enjoyed logging in daily to Homerun. I can check all the opportunities I am working on and keep fanning the flames.

Pros

I love the idea of accountability. The fact that there is a tool that allows me to stay on top of my deals without having to resort to the "Sales Executive" CRM is wonderful. It is very easy to use and allows for just enough customization. I use this tool every morning and at the close of business. Our SF deals flow over into the platform without a hiccup.

Cons

Nothing really. If there was a more centralized location for both meeting minutes, updates, and any current status of the deal I think it would be a plus but this is a minor blemish in an an extremely robust product.

Outstanding evaluation experience, smooth implementation. Within a matter of weeks we had full adoption across the team and we are realizing significant value.

Pros

It's been very straightforward to setup up Homerun Presales in a way that matches our workflow. Activity capture is intuitive, and we're beginning to see meaningful performance trends. It's been useful to manage our technical sales funnel in a way that's never been available in our CRM. Activity tracking, capacity planning, and pre-sales specific performance metrics are available that we couldn't readily tease out of the CRM. We are following a more standardized process with less time required to complete each major deliverable of an evaluation.

Cons

Required a bit of effort to initiate the importing of opps from the CRM. Has taken some fine-tuning, but we were well-supported during this part of the implementation.

I really like the ability to manage opportunities, meetings, etc all from a single pane of glass. Keeping track of notes and files attached to each opp. is wonderful. Being able to see the flow of all opps. at a glance is very helpful.

Cons

Some calendar connections issue in the beginning, but it was all resolved.

Love the tool and definitely headed in the right direction!

Pros

\- easy kanban board for opportunity / POV tracking- rollup of metrics for opportunities is awesome- love the integrations to hubspot for and jira to connect opportunities to connected tools and information

Cons

This tool is early in its evolution, so sometimes the integrations are clunky, but the team has been improving them very rapidly. Usability of small icons to activate edit sections on/off is a bit cumbersome.
