Great support, answers the phone right away and very knowledgeable and helpful. Cons Wish GCPay had electronic signing like Docusign, then you won't need to edit or scan documents that needed signing. It will be great if we have provisions to edit or can-do adjustments from contractor side. Pros Easy to use. We can find all the documents in the same platform. It is a value for money product. Cons We can't do editing from Contractor side. Once the subcontractor submit the Price, Contractor needs to do assessment and do some adjustments, if necessary, which is not possible. Cons I would like to be able to tab (or enter) through my SOV when submitting billing to a contractor, instead of using the mouse to click for each billing value. Auto generates your pay application. Easy to navigate the site and upload your required documents. I like the Audit Trail feature so you can track your project's payment status. Pros Very user friendly. Little to no learning curve for use. I like that it auto generates the pay applications for you. Cons Not enough of our GC use it. It would be nice if there was a way to notarize online similar to the Oracle Textura Payment Management system. The dashboard is great to see what is due. Would like for contractors to have to indicate when an billing has been paid. Pros The dashboard to see whats due is very helpful, also clicking to sign instead of printing or using excel is amazing. Cons Some of the displays to see whats been submitted could be more clear, also something that the contractor has to signal when the invoice has been paid would be helpful. I would go as far as to say GCPay has the best Customer Service I have experienced in both my personal and professional life. Every company should provide Customer Service like GCPay. Pros Having constraints in place for Compliance and unapproved Change Orders has been a game changer for our company. Cons Subcontractors who have endless contacts listed in the GCPay Directory. Oftentimes we don't know who is going to be doing the billings for a specific project to get them added. It seems like we could add them on a company basis and then let the subcontractor sort out who is owning a specific project. It's streamlined our month-end billing process significantly, eliminated a significant amount of manual tracking, and helped us keep organized throughout the job cycle Pros The transparency GCPay provided between subcontractors and the general contractor is excellent. From schedule of values, pay apps, COIs and lien waivers, it's always clear what the expectations are, who's court the ball is in, and due dates, which make our processes rule smooth Cons The out of the box reports serve their purpose, but the lack of customization available for inquiries and reports is less than ideal. This system has made my my process more efficient and streamlined. Pros I love using GC Pay to process subcontractors invoices. It keeps everything all in one place. Subcontractors can't just add on change orders that they think they should bill. GC Pay also creates the AIA for the subs and owner. The portal is easy to use and their support team is 10/10. They responds so quickly and can generally help with everything Cons I would like to have more filter options on the main project page. I would also like to see an options to have subcontractors have a checklist or compliance that is specific for each sub vs on everyone. It's the billing platform that I prefer using. Pros Pay apps don't get lost or misplaced. If a change order is written after retention has been billed, there is no confusion about whether I need to re-submit retention app. Cons The general contractor name is not on the Projects Page list of projects. It's rather painless and easy to learn, it streamlines a lot, GCPay Support is AMAZING, they are ALWAYS quick to respond (via email), or immediate via phone. If there is ever an issue, or question, or you would like something tweaked or possibly added, our rep has always been very responsive. Pros I love the ease, simplicity and automation of lien waivers. I love that you are able to upload your own wording/version, per project basis, that you can require a notarized copy or not, and that subs get alerted and can quickly and effortlessly e-sign. I also cant talk enough about GCPay's AMAZING customer service!!!! Cons This is probably a blessing, but sometimes I wish the admin had more access or capabilities, that only GCPay rep's can do. I don't think we could ever go back to how we used to enter billings. Pros The user-friendly interface and how well it syncs with Vista. Also, it prevents typos/mistakes on hand-written pay applications. Oh, and GCPay support is exceptional. Very fast service, and always helpful. Cons Two main issues are that GCPay wont delete change orders that have been un-interfaced/unapproved in Vista if they've already been added to a subs SOV. It would be nice to use that future some day if it would integrate. Another thought since we are looking into Certified payroll tracking programs now, if GCPay had something that'd be awesome.
