I am very happy using this software; it has made my entire billing period much easier and more manageable. I look forward to more of my clients joining the system to further streamline our collaboration

Pros

The software is very user-friendly and intuitive. I love that it gives General Contractors the flexibility to customize application submissions to fit their specific needs. For subcontractors, it’s a game-changer—it significantly reduces paperwork and keeps everything organized and instantaneous for both sides.

Cons

The only downside is the processing time for payments. It currently takes several days for funds to become effective, which can be a bit slow compared to the efficiency of the rest of the platform.

Overall, I would have to say our experience with GCPay has been a positive one. Everything in one place.

Pros

GCPay made it easier for us as a subcontractor when we have to submit invoices and forms to the contractor. It saves us time and keeps us up to date on whether our invoices and waivers have been approved via email.

Cons

I had to really think hard about this question because I don't believe there is anything I don't like about GCPay.

I wish more of our Contractors would use this it would help with not having such a crazy paper trail.

Pros

I like how it keeps everything organized with jobs. From when important documents are expired and it reminds you to keeping pay apps organized and having vendors upload lien waivers easily.

Cons

At first I didn't like GC PAY because I couldn't understand the site and how to navigate it, but they have a number you can call for support and they helped me a lot.

Love the ease of use, everything is laid out so you can follow easily, not complicated. Make sure you are incompliance with insurance, etc.

Pros

I am a subcontractor and like ease of use, security, layout of applying for payment, timely payments.

Cons

Would love to see a separate tab showing invoice totals and payments that are in process and payments made to date.

It is easy to review pay apps and approve them. Every time I have had an issue about a pay i app i can contact support and they are knowledgeable about the program.

Pros

contractor interface is easy to use, contact support is helpful for both the contractor and subcontractor. I like the chat box.

Cons

I would like each pay app listed the quantity and dollar amount for each item, not the remaining balance.

Pros

Ease of pay applications and compliance document flow. Process is quite simple and easy for most to grasp.

Cons

Some projects require specific retainage requirements, such as state, where it is 8% on labor for 50% of the project. Would like more flexibility in those rates when setting up project without the need to work with GCPay team.

### "I Love GCPay!"

My experience is very positive overall. I use many different billing sites, such as Procore, but GCPay is the best.

Pros

Monthly billing is very easy inside GCPay. I especially love the dashboard section, so I can clearly see what I have outstanding.

Cons

There is nothing I particularly dislike about GCPay, but it would be nice if I was notified when things were outstanding when I log on.

Between Payment Processing, Payment & Billing, and Contract Compliance; I appreciate the system's ability to notify us via email asap when changes/updates are made in each project. Having information visible is very important, especially when you're receiving update notifications from the other party almost instantaneous via email, this helps avoid having to login into the website over and over.

Pros

I like GCPay capabilities into being User Friendly and having information organized and straight forward. You want this system to be able to get the job done so that you can move quickly to the next agenda of your work day.

Cons

After using GCPay for almost a year now, and with my level as a Senior Accountant, I do not see anything that I don't like about GCPay. The amount of things I can do in minutes has high value in a workplace and for GCPay to work really well for me helps a lot.

I love it. It makes payment tracking easy. Money not being held up by missing items is money quicker in my account.

Pros

Ease of use. As a subcontractor it is easy to apply and track payment requests. The fact that it tracks all required items for progress payment submission is a plus as well.

Cons

I would say the only thing I would change is if they had a mobile application available for use on the go.

GC pay has helped standardize our subcontractors' bills, supporting our team's contractor compliance and lien waivers. It also allows us to easily review and approve pay applications and keep everyone in the loop on where a particular application stands in the payment process.

Cons

If I reject a pay application for revision, the printout of their revised application still shows the "REJECTED" watermark, which is a pain.

### "Must have program "

It's great, and definitely keeps the process clean. I love that it controls the pay apps and sending. It takes out a lot of human error chances.

Pros

It is easy to submit billings, and it always explains if something is wrong. I like that it's very cut and dry.

Cons

I'd like to be able to chat with other people on the project. I think it would be helpful to click someone associated and send them a message within the project so we could communicate like that.

Auto populated invoices. Less back and forth with subcontractors trying to correct invoices. Billing for stored material is easier for the GC.

Cons

Interface can be hard to understand and get used to at the beginning. Harder to understand how to review previous pay applications from subcontractors.

As an AR Admin for an electrical subcontractor, GCPay offers the most efficient and user-friendly billing software we use. It is both detailed and easy to use. I wish all of our jobs utilized GCPay!

Cons

The only con I have is I don't always get email notifications if a pay app is rejected. Outside of that, I have no complaints!

### "Best Choice for GC Payment Software"

We wish more of our general contractors would use GCPay, rather than platforms like Textura, that cost us a portion of our contract to utilize and are significantly less user-friendly.

Pros

It is very user-friendly and streamlines the entire billing process for subcontractors. Out of all the contractor-focused payment sites we use for our various general contractors, GCPay is the easiest, quickest, and is also free to us. Lien waivers only take seconds to fill out and compliance documents are easily uploaded.

Cons

We really have no complaints. We've never encountered issues with entering billing applications or receiving payment.

I would love to use GCPay on all of our projects because to me it's the best program to use. From the step-by-step process to the showing of what the necessary documents are. GCpay makes it easy to stay organized.

Pros

I love that GCPay is so easy to use. It's easy to enter a billing and follow the steps of entering waivers. Then when the GC approves, it's easy to upload the needed documents. I love the Audit trail to be able to see who on the GC side is approving or denying the billing.

Cons

I don't have anything bad to say about it. I have never had an issue with how the program works. I wish other programs were as easy to work with.

As a subcontractor, I can say that GCPay is very useful. It truly simplifies the workflow and allows you to keep a very clean and organized tracking of the project.

Pros

GCPay is very user-friendly. It’s very clear and well organized, with all the tabs clearly divided, making it easy to make changes or review information.Sending pay apps and waivers is also quick and efficient, and payments are processed quickly as well.

Cons

The only thing we don’t particularly like — though it’s not necessarily a drawback — is that we can’t download the pay apps directly from the application. They are sent by email instead, and they include a watermark.

### "GCPay Usage from AR Prospective."

GCPay is something that is used based on some of our customers that use this option for submitting AR invoices. Compared to other options, I find that GCPay easy to use and the process does not take up much additional time.

Cons

I see the features and the reason some of our customers use this, but my initial thoughts of using seemed like additional work to process AR invoices, with no benefit for this service.
