It is user friendly, and I love that not only managers can add to the boards but other team members as well. It allows everyone to be able to give shoutouts when employees go the extra mile, have a birthday or celebrate other life events. It is a really great tool for employee engagement and recognition. Pros Kudoboard is a great way to connect team members and show appreciation and support for when employees go the extra mile. It is a great motivator for teams when they can see that everyone appreciated their hard work and effort. Cons None, I think the app is great, it allows you to post messages, GIFS and other fun things, so there are no cons! Pros The ability to collaborate void of time and space makes this tool flexible. The flexibility provides an open forum for more people who might not be able to offer insights otherwise. It is fun to provide a way to donate to them as a 'going away' present by sponsoring their kudoboards. There was good and positive response from staff receiving a kudoboard and it was surprisingly easy for colleagues to use the kudoboard to wish departing employees with good wishes. The uptake by colleagues was very surprising. Pros This platform makes it easy for us to share good wishes to departing employees. It is easy to launch a new kudoboard, but also able to set up donations. Cons There were no issues when setting up a kudoboard. May 14, 2020 5.0 Kudoboard has been at the heart of maintaining our team culture during the coronavirus pandemic. We used it prior to the shutdown, but really rely on it to help us stay connected and celebrate each other now that we're not able to gather in person or pass a physical card around the office. Pros My team and I enjoy adding GIFs to the board that reflect our relationships and/or the recipient's personality, and I love that you can also upload your own pictures to make it that much more personalized. We recently used it to do a sort of memorial wall to our program year, which ended abruptly and unceremoniously, so this was a part of our grieving and coping with the challenging time we're in. I'm grateful for this software! Cons I can't think of anything. There is sometimes some glitchiness when scrolling through GIFS, but not a huge deal. One small thing: would love to be able to change the color of the title banner, as it sometimes doesn't exactly coordinate with the background image. More background images would also be a plus, since we use it a lot and want to make sure we're keeping it original. Reason for choosing Kudoboard I did look around to see what other products were out there, but came back to Kudoboard for user friendliness, cost, and familiarity (we've used it across my org for the past 3 years). " August 31, 2022 5.0 When the covid pandemic hit, the majority of my team began teleworking and im order to continue reconigizeing staff and cekebrating important holidays and milestones, I wanted to find something virtually everyone could contribute to, which is how I came across kudoboard. It has become a staple in our office for sending congratulations, reconciliations, birthday, retirements, etc. Everyone loves that they can partake wether working in office or home. Its wonderful way that everyone can personalize by adding their own notes, pictures, gifs, etc. that is customized for the person receiving the kudos. Pros This product is very easy to use and a perfect alternative for sending someone a card. The software allows you to create a kudos/card for any occasion. You can personalize it by choosing the main wording and background. Once created, it can be shared with others and they can add a note to the recipient as well as a add a video, picture or gif! It's a really wonderful way to recognize staff virtually and ensure anyone can participate even if one is working away from the office. Once complete, its emailed to the receipint. The outcome of the kudoboard is so fun and unique! Cons The only con I can think is it would be nice to have more suggested title wording as not everyone is as creative with their words. We advertised the dongle and used it for a month to collect feedback from our employees. The reviews we received were amazing and the board continues to be one of our top products. We keep it in all of our offices and our customers love it. We recommend this product to all of our clients and receive many requests to purchase it for their businesses. Cons Everything is going well and we think it deserves its price in the end. We were very impressed with its general use and each of our employees adapted easily. October 16, 2021 5.0 I had never had an online e-card like Kudoboard that could collect contributions so this was a product we needed at my workplace (and personal life). Wouldn't it be nice if you could incorporate a service like PayPal or Venmo in this so that the person who organized the card could easily collect money towards a gift as well? Pros The card takes such little time to setup! I love the background choices which range from simple to ones with lots of graphics. The card is very customizable with fonts as well though I typically like the default font. It is also really easy to have co-workers contribute to the card - not a lot of fuss with signing-in. I also find it easy to upgrade from the free version (10 contributors) to 100 for a small reasonable fee. Cons When you go to schedule delivery of the card, does it always default to the next day? I think it should default to the same day. I mixed up the dates and accidentally scheduled delivery of a card for "tomorrow 4pm" when I really wanted it to be "today 4pm". This is used to send out birthday boards, departures, work anniversaries, and other exciting news including babies etc. This is an easy way to show appreciation and gratitude across our offices, while keeping it personalize by using images and gifs. This is a great alternative for companies with several employees and many updates instead of sending around cards. Cons Since we have so many updates and exciting news and birthdays are often, It would be beneficial if weekly there was a way to get a summary email rather than singular kudoboards. Sometimes our inboxes get filled with these boards, and some get missed. If there was a single email that listed all the boards, it would be a quick way to send out congrats or well wishes without the clutter of the inbox. Employee Experience Specialist Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "I love Kudoboard" February 24, 2022 5.0 Kudoboard has been a great tool for employee engagement, and I've used it several times to thank larger groups of people for their help (volunteers, employees). The pandemic has prevented us from having some celebrations -- a retirement party, for one -- and "passing around a card" hasn't been an option with 70% of our staff working remotely. Kudoboard has filled in, and is so easy to distribute that everyone can participate, no matter where they are. I have used Kudoboard for personal end-of-year messages (in lieu of the Christmas letter), and to include an international group of friends and family to participate in a "group gift" by posting pictures and memories for a friend's 70th birthday. Pros So easy to use: directions are obvious, clear, and lead you exactly where you expect to go. GIFs, video clips, messages, and images are easy to load, and the board is easy to organize and reorganize. The backgrounds are fun, interesting, and beautiful. As an organizer, keeping updated is very straight-forward, and reminding participants of deadlines, etc. is simple. The end result \*always\* brings pleasure. On the few occasions I've paid for the product due to the size of the board, I've been pleased. Cons Truly, there is not one thing about Kudoboard that I have been disappointed in. January 21, 2021 5.0 I have had great experiences with Kudoboard and will continue to use this platform in the future for all my "greeting card" needs, especially to large groups of people . Pros This product makes it simple, quick,and fun to support staff and encourage team building. It allows for people to be creative and thoughtful when sending a message to somebody. The other great thing is that you can connect with people all over to have all messages in one spot for someone. The price is not much more and/or cheaper than a good quality card and you do not have to worry about sending it in the mail. It is also cool the options that are available for the creator or recipient to save/print/display the virtual card. I have used this both professionally and with family and everyone has loved using and/or getting a Kudoboard. Cons I do not really have any Cons. It would be cool to be able to just add audio without having to do a video. Reason for choosing Kudoboard We Kudoboard back in March , when we had to start working from home but still needed to support and be there for co-workers. After some research, we felt that this was the easiest and most effective way to deliver cards/greetings, especially with the ability to customize and have individuals express themselves.
