Kudoboard helped us giving recognition to employees and involve the whole cooperation to participate in it. Especially combining it with the functionality of adding gifs, it is a fun collage mosty Cons Overall Kudoboard fulfills what we need it to do. The design itself is a bit dated but everything works. Pros The software is easy to use. It can be customized to fit a company's needs-- we had our Marketing team create us a background image to use on the boards. Being able to schedule delivery of cards is great and allows us to plan ahead. And, it is fun to create and share the cards, AND easy to get everyone to contribute. Cons Maybe something like a curated list of gifs and images for specific occasions could be useful. Scrolling down the list for anything tagged with "birthday" can take time. And because you only had to send the weblink to people, it was also possible to have former alumni employees sign the farewell cards. It would have been very challenging to have former alumni employees sign a person's farewell card if it was paper. Pros Being able to use Kudoboard was very user friendly and not hard to setup. People could sign the card without setting up their own account. It was very easy to obtain farewell messages from everyone through email. Cons I wish there was a little more customization with the design of the card. Like being able to change the border/color of message boxes and adding more random clip art/emojis. The boards have been fund for team members to add to and personalize each card with photos of GIF that really show we know one another's interests and likes. It has made creating and signing cards easy for a virtual team that is on 3 continents and in 5 countries. I definitely recommend it. Pros I love how easy it is to use Kudoboard. Creating a card is simple and quick, and sharing the link for others to sign the created card is fast and easy. It is also easy to rearrange posts, set-up delivery and review the final result. Cons I wish there were other pricing options. I don't use it enough (at least 25 times a year) to justify a package or subscription, but I do use it more than just occasionally; so, a small discount would be nice. Pros I like that it is easy to share with contributors. All you need to do is send a link and people can easily contribute to the board. I also like that it is easy to attach a photo or gif and the backgrounds are nice for the boards. Cons We have gone through so many kudoboards at our institution that it is getting hard to make original ones. Another thing that we have run into is if you accidentally type the wrong address, it is hard to share it with the original intended recipient. Easy to use, priced competitively, and I would definitely recommend it! Pros This is a fantastic tool to use for recognizing individual work anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, welcoming a new child, sympathies, and "play of the day" or other forms of appreciation while working remotely, across time zones, and internationally. As the administrative staff member for my employer, I use Kudoboard as a message board with many contributors for all the reasons I listed above. It is comparative in price when considering the logistics involved in buying a physical card and routing to contributors, plus postage when needed. It is very easy to create, customize, invite other contributors, and set either a scheduled delivery or "manually" deliver the Kudoboard to the recipient. The selections of backgrounds, images, and GIF files are sufficient to celebrate (or sympathize using solids) any event. Cons This isn't a bad thing, but the only con for my organization (because I use this for work and not personally) is that there are a lot of juvenile prints. There aren't a lot of background prints for sympathies. Some are appropriate, such as the solids, but a few more peaceful landscapes or "textured" prints would be nice. December 10, 2021 5.0 With the global pandemic situation, it has really been a struggle to boost one's emotion. With Kudoboard, it has been a very fun and creative experience to recognize someone, send birthday/anniversary greetings, or even farewell messages. I love how easy it is to use and how you can personalize your message to keep the connection real even when it's just virtual. Pros I love how I can personalize my board. I can add funny images or gifs. I also love it's mobile version. Even when we're on-the-go, we can quickly send someone a recognition. It's just the most fun way to recognize and send cute messages without breaking the bank. Cons I have not encountered any issues while using the Kudoboard so none for now. We are primarily a virtual team so we don't get together and do physical cards. This gave us an opportunity to share thoughts and pictures with our honoree Pros The software was easy to use. I was able to send out invitations to write kudos. Invitees seemed to easily pick up the idea of the product and started writing notes and adding pictures. Often with things like this I find myself writing out a bunch of my own instructions to help people figure out what to do. Cons I don't recall having any problems with Kudoboard. It worked well. Of course it's always nice to receive a physical card but this ecard allows folks from around the world to chime in and we gather more words of Thanks and Encouragement for the recipient. With the current pandemic, Kudocard has allowed us to reach more people, cheering for them and hanging in together . Cons It allows us to schedule when to send the card to the recipient. It also sends notification once recipient has opened the card. On top of that, it sends reminders on when is the deadline so that I could also remind others to sign the card. We struggled to find a way to celebrate our employees, and felt that some folks were left out of celebrations, especially our remote workers. With Kudoboard, no one is left out! We can create a Kudoboard anywhere, any time, and send a little appreciation to anyone! Pros I love the ability to have any user sign a single Kudoboard. It is so hard to find software that does what Kudoboard does. No longer do we have just a string of random "Happy birthday!" or "Great job!" on Slack - with Kudoboard, our company has been able to create something thoughtful and fun together for each of our employees. It has created a great culture of celebration and helped people share more about their interests without trying too hard. Not to mention, you don't need to go through the hassle of picking out a card, having everyone sign it, then sending it out! Save your postage, time, and create something meaningful. Cons I am a big fan of Kudoboard, so it is hard to come up with something I dislike, but I suppose the one thing I wish could be improved is making the backgrounds more customizable. Instead of contacting the employees, they can send their feedback remotely. It has allowed me to increase employee engagement. post covid Cons The pricing it claims to say that it is a one-time charge for each kudoboard but eventually over time it will add up which can get pricey for a small business. Pros It is easy to use for the creator, and it is easy to use for all users. I like the fact that automatically the system will tell us about each step. Cons Last time I used it there were some images that people picked that were showing for some users but were not showing for others. This is discouraging because people added pictures but they don’t show up.
