April 28, 2021 5.0 Pros We've used this tool since before COVID. Even in those "in-office" times this was a great tool for getting many people to collaborate. Gone are the days of trying to discreetly pass a physical around the office for signatures. Now that we are remote, this tool is so great for celebrating together while everyone can still add an individualized component. We all love the gifs option! They're so much fun! The ability to schedule delivery is also so great for busy teams. Cons The only cons I can think of is that there is not always a gif for what we search and we use this tool at work and sometimes the gifs are not 100% work appropriate (when you search a term but if this happens, just close out of that search and try a different term!). December 7, 2021 4.0 Kudoboard has helped us prepare greeting boards for our organization leaders -- and even older adults who are not too technical are able to contribute as it is easy to use. It will definitely remain as our go-to tool for online greeting collection. Pros Focused on one main thing - which they do really great! No fuss, easy to create a kudoboard -- no complex sign-up process. Lovely layouts even for the free option. Scheduled delivery is a HUGE plus, as I can set it up ahead of time. Contributors are also able to add in messages without unnecessary complexity. Cons Would appreciate more contributors for the FREE option, or a cheaper option for single boards that need <50 contributions. Review Source LT Lauren T. I do wish you could upload your own backgrounds, instead of choosing from the preset options, and would prefer greater flexibility when it comes to arranging a board and things like font size, and even picture size and cropping. Overall, it has been incredibly useful during this ever-expanding virtual age especially now that we can't easily hand off a physical card! Pros People from various age ranges and technical competencies are easily able to contribute to a board and navigate its features - in my industry, that includes employees, donors, and board members. We have deployed these for birthdays, workers on leave, thank yous, and more. Cons I wish it didn't cost $5.99 to upgrade your board when it's +10 people every single time. I'd be willing to pay some of the time, but rarely am I willing to pay for the upgraded board EVERY time, and tend to avoid using Kudoboard if I do indeed have more than 10 people contributing (especially since we are a smaller organization). Losing our office space made keeping in touch for social occasions really hard and kudoboard has enabled us to keep up with the little touches, like birthday cards, to keep the team together. As a non-profit company, that wasn't going to work for us overall. Pros Our company enjoyed and utilized this for a few years. Easy to implement and mostly used for employee highlights: birthday, anniversaries, etc. It made it easy to include people to contribute to the board and scheduling a delivery was much appreciated. It needs some improvement on UI but is not a deal breaker. But I would love to see more selections. Pros I guess the most about this software is its ease of use. It's just a click of a button to access and finish it in seconds. Cons I believe the selection of Gifs and Images should be improved. I'm not sure how but maybe a better tagging system? This program has seamless allowed us to continue this practice. I like how easy it is for everyone to contribute. Each time I use the program I learn new features... and see my colleagues using more of the features. Like including a picture or gif, or uploading our own photo for use in our post. I also like that the recipient can send a thankyou to all without having to re-create email addresses. Cons I wish that there were more backgrounds or machine learning so when we type in what type of board it will be (congrats, good bye, baby etc) that appropriate backgrounds would pop up. Best of all- I didn't have to explain to anyone how to use it. Pros I LOVE how I can send a greeting to an individual from a group and each person who is sending a greeting can personalize it the way they want. The ease for our staff who travel to open and part take in the celebrating or what ever it may be, I especially like that I get updates whenever someone signs the greeting, it also reminds me of the delivery date. This prompts me to send out reminders to folks. Cons There really isn't anything that I don't like. Admissions Officer Education Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great greeting card replacement during COVID-19" August 24, 2020 5.0 Prior to COVID-19, I purchased blank note-cards on Amazon that could be passed around the office and then presented to the individual at the time of the celebration. Now that we are all working from home, that is no longer an option. The Kudoboard still allows our team to give best wishes on birthdays, retirements, baby showers, etc. in a fun and unique way. Pros Kudoboard is very user-friendly. It is very accessible and can be used on multiple computers as it simply needs to be connected to the internet for use. I appreciate the ability to change the background and font to suit different events and aesthetics. Being able to download each Kudoboard and save them to my desktop is also extremely beneficial. Cons I wish it was easier to re-use boards. I understand that the primary goal of the product is to buy a board for each event, but it does get rather expensive with numbers and the exchange rate (Canadian). I also wish there was a size for 50 people instead of the jump from 10-100. We have about 25 people sign a board at a time so a more mid-size option would have been more appealing. Cons I understand the limit of entries per board and I appreciate that it's free if you have less than a certain number, but if that number could be a little bit higher that would be great! I work at a small office and my team consists of 5 people so all our cards have been free. We use whenever we need birthday cards, thank you cards, farewell cards, and promotion cards! Cons We are still using the free version, and the limit of 10 contributors makes it tough to use across the organization. Especially in the pandemic, where passing around a card to sign isn't possible. People are also able to make their messages more personal with GIFs and longer messages. Cons There's a huge jump from a free board with 10 posts, to the first tier paid board with 100 posts. Suggest offering something int he 50 posts range. We never use the full 100, but we need more than 10! February 11, 2019 5.0 It was a seamless experience; easy to set up, easy to share with others, easy to collaborate, and easy to send to the recipient! Loved it! Pros I loved that KudoBoard allowed our team to send one of our teammates who had gotten a promotion a personalized, colorful, customized board of encouragement. We could have all signed a card, but you can add gifs to a card, so what's really the point? Awesome tool, and 10/10 would recommend. Cons I didn't like that you couldn't do a keyword search for images--they were broken up into categories that don't make that much sense to me. Also, participants can do something simple (a sentence response) or add photos and designs. Pros We try to motivate staff by celebrating their successes and milestones. Kudoboard makes that very easy. We mostly use it for milestones (birthdays, promotions, etc.), however, we have also used it when a staff member has won an award or has gone above and beyond.
