The implementation team was responsive, thorough, and flexible with our complex plan structures, including multi-tier accelerators, channel splits, referral credits, and manager scorecards. Pros We moved from a fully manual, spreadsheet-driven commission process to an automated global platform. Our France team had been on Sales Cookie for four years and loved it, which gave us confidence going into the global rollout. The native Salesforce sync means we are not re-entering data or reconciling between systems. Reps now have real-time access to their commission statements instead of waiting for monthly spreadsheets from Finance, which has built trust and reduced the volume of "where's my commission?" inquiries. The dispute center lets reps submit questions directly in the platform, and we can resolve and track everything in one place. The Customer Support team has been outstanding. The implementation team (\[sensitive content hidden\]) are hands-on throughout the entire build, validation, and launch. Response times were fast, and they proactively surfaced solutions to edge cases we hadn't even thought of yet. Cons There is a real learning curve on the admin side. I would definitely pull them into another client if given the opportunity and need. Pros For the price, I doubt you could find a more flexible and well supported system for commissions calculations. I received a recommendation from another old colleague of mine who had used Sales Cookie and after a brief evaluation I made the recommendation to my client to use the platform. They had a complex calculation which included the integration of data from two or three other systems via their API. Their onboarding team was great, got it implemented in short order (relative to how long others have taken) and the continued support from them were a pleasure to work with and reasonable from a cost perspective. Cons As an accountant, I found the reporting more geared towards the Sales leadership and reps rather than the financial reporting side of things. For example, it wasn't until after we were using the platform for several months that they were able to build in a report that would easily calculate and present the commissions expense and liabilities. An Excel auto-convert feature would be a killer addition to a great solution. Pros I am responsible for calculating sales commissions in my organization. This was taking about 10 hours every week. Even though it's possible to calculate commissions manually AND accurately, the main issue was the constant need for adjustments (ex: a deal did not go through, refund, etc.). As a result, we had to re-issue commissions frequently, and over time it became unmanageable to track everything. Using Sales Cookie, we're now able to automate the entire process, but we can still make changes to commissions if needed. There is a very convenient "activity center" in app where we can see all the changes made by anyone to comp plans, commissions, etc. I also like the different roles provided by the application because management of some plans can be delegated so specific managers. Finally our sales team is happy with their online statement. This is much better than before as we had to repeat sending spreadsheets to every rep. Cons I wish they had a way to take any Excel spreadsheet and auto-convert to one of the incentive plans. We are very happy with our experience overall and return on investment. The main problem with sales commissions is that calculating them manually makes it virtually impossible to get them right. This means considerable time wasted making constant adjustments, investigating missing deals, or dealing with angry reps like me! Sales Cookie eliminates all manual calculations while providing detailed audits and logs. It's like automatically generating all user commission spreadsheets with just a few clicks. A key decision point for us was pricing. The solution is very affordable compared to other vendors. Will they send a team of 5 consultants to your HQ? They won't, but they will really help you getting setup and configure plans for you, making the solution very affordable. The admin team has also been relieved of many menial tasks which are now carried out automatically using Sales Cookie. Pros Before we implemented this at our company we were wasting a lot of time and resources on manual working on spreadsheets. After implementation we have been able to make very good progress as compensation for various employees and the subsequent benefits are easily processed. It allows for goal setting for various levels of employees and makes it easy to progress. Cons Initial transformation to this platform is a bit complex and requires serious and rigorous training to realize it completely. I also faced setting up the Quickbooks connection.
