### "Couldn't Be Happier"

Having completed wetland delineations for the past 25-years, it was a welcome relief to work with an "app" that eliminated the messiness of field sheets and their typing for reports. The "app" filled in the plant indicator species and completed the determination testing as well, eliminating the need for the referencing step.

Pros

Wildnote software is very user friendly. Data was very easy to enter in the field and quickly review and edit once back in the office. The recall feature of the data/entry was useful in saving time from re-entering similar information. Having the field forms produced in a type-written form from the Android entry was an extreme time-saving measure. Wildnote's IT professionals quickly responded to any questions I had regarding the operation of the system.

Cons

There was nothing that I did not like about the wetland delineation and vegetation assessment applications that I used. Occasional loss of service in the field could generally be reactivated by restarting the system and were assumed to be a Verizon issue.

Reason for choosing Wildnote

Pioneer chose Wildnote due to their cloud-based and streamline service used in completing wetland delineations and vegetation surveys.

Our overall experience has been positive. Wildnote covers all our needs, and although we have run into small bugs or problems, your customer service is always extremely helpful.

Pros

It's customizable to many different needs and is very easy to use in the field.

Cons

Some of the UI is confusing or not entirely user-friendly, but Wildnote is always available to help so it's never been a big issue.

Reason for choosing Wildnote

Mainly because your customer service was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to help us figure out how to get the most out of Wildnote. We never felt pressured into purchasing a subscription - everyone we interacted with, especially \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], was straightforward and friendly.

My overall experience has been very positive. Wildnote has helped save considerable time processing field data, and has helped with overall report quality and consistency.

Pros

Wildnote helped me streamline my data collection process. Field data is collected electronically and can immediately be processed into report quality data forms.

Cons

Creating new data forms can be a bit of a trial and error process. Mainly how much information you can/should include in the questions. Too much information can clutter up the data form, and too little data will result in considerable white space. The only way to know (to my knowledge) is to create the data form, then export a test pdf.

When creating a survey form from scratch, you are correct that the only way to really understand how it will work from beginning to end is to test it. We like this software but it is cumbersome to set up each individual project and make it time-prohibitive to use on small projects

Pros

We value the cost/time-savings associated with field data collection and the limited post-processing of written data forms.

Cons

I don't like that you have to set the project up initially in the web program. It would have a greater utility for us to be able to create projects on the fly in the field through our tablets and phones by using a stock data form or something similar.

### "I Love Wildnote for Data Collection"

I love that I can just whip out my phone and read off my data to officials, in meetings, or to build my own presentations to provide my data in more professional settings.

Pros

I've used a lot of programs for this but none so easy as Wildnote. I am a biologist who works with organizations on building simple environmental studies and wildnote allows me to keep all of my field data right in my pocket and ready to use.

Cons

Still a little buggy. I've had it crash on me a couple times as it seems to be in the early stages of development but even in those crashes I didn't lose any of my entered data. So, lose, win?

### "Wildnote Improves Work flow"

As a user - while using Wildnote has also eliminated the need for the little yellow field book - I have enjoyed the variety of data that I can capture on a single field visit, moving between different survey form types at the same time. It has certainly made data management easier and more fluid - especially when it comes to managing photographs!

Pros

Wildnote makes it very easy to tailor field work data sheets to specific projects, as well as maintain a general database of survey types. The ease with which the resulting reports can be printed, shared, and integrated into larger deliverables streamlines our workflow and improves on our reporting capabilities.

Cons

In my experience, the report export functions do not appear to be as seamless as the rest of the program - but I think there have significant strides.

From getting the software launched at our company to utilizing it in the field, it has been a positive experience. The Wildnote team rules and I would recommend them to anyone in the environmental field.

Pros

This software is incredibly easy to use! Creating a new form takes minutes instead of hours.

Cons

The mapping component could use some updating. It would be great to be able to add lines, points, and polygons for reference in the field. It would also be nice to change the symbology in the map. Removing features no longer needed on the map takes a lot of time. Having a select and then delete/archive function would be nice.

Reason for choosing Wildnote

The programming time is far less with Wildnote, the export functionality, not needing to depend upon an over-worked GIS team, the list goes on

Pros

I love the fact that the software allows me to make use of its features even while I am offline. It is definitely the most useful feature of the app in my opinion. Because, if you are collecting data for environmental projects, you might not always end up with a very strong internet connection in fields where you are collecting the data. What I also love about the app is that it allows me syncs all of my devices and enjoy my data from whatever device I want.

Cons

There are few things that I strongly dislike about the software. What I dislike most about the software is the fact that it sometimes shuts down without any reasons. That might be extremely annoying especially when you are on a field working and having a limited time period. Also, I am not satisfied with app's smoothness because it sometimes works too slowly. I hope the company will solve these problems soon.

### "Glad to have everything all in one, it saves me a headache"

I love having GPS linked with everything so even the GPS can be filled in when doing my forms. It eliminates so much time we end up billing for the client so this is a huge time saver and money saver.

Pros

I like that it allows for photo uploads when you are editing the forms. This allows me to upload site photos immediately when filling out my forms instead of having to upload separately and mixing up photos with different sites.

Cons

Nothing as of right now, everything has been working well.

Pros

This app makes my job in the field much easier. I can use it to quickly take data points and upload pictures and keep moving on with work. Once I get back to the office, I can open the website and all my info is in one place ready to be exported.

Cons

I wish the wetland data sheet template gave me the option to not proceed with the prevalence index when I don't need it.

Overall my experience has been good. The customer service aspect is great, as are the one on one sessions.

Pros

The easy work flow of the sheets I've used so far has been nice. It's fairly intuitive, and simple to use. The ability to add photos of plants directly into wetland sheets is also nice.

Cons

The need to hit "+" in order to add text to a field instead of just typing directly into a field has been annoying, but isn't a huge inconvenience. This has been the only issue I've run into so far. We've also run into a couple issues when trying to edit forms online (versus mobile).

### "Intuitive and Functional"

Wildnote is allowing us to be more efficient with our mobile data collection procedures

Pros

The software has existing forms that can be used out of the box (e.g., US Army Corps of Engineers wetland determination data form), modified to suit one's needs, or created from scratch. Within 2 hours of first logging on, our field tech was able to build his own custom form that suited our needs. Also, the field techs can do everything necessary to collect and retrieve the data themselves. There is no need to have a dedicates staff member to build forms and manage data. Costumer service is outstanding.

Cons

Initially there were a few glitches that resulted in indicator status on USACE data forms not auto-filling, but this issue was resolved quickly.

Pros

The ability to have everything in one place. The ease of adding photos and description to the form. The fact that it syncs directly across all platforms eliminating the need for a third platform to upload the forms.

Cons

Nothing, I love it ! The issues we have had with the software do not come from the software but rather from implementing it with people that are used to their way of doing things.

So far overall, Wildnote staff have been extremely helpful with setting up the app, listing to our recommendations, fixing bugs in the app while maintaining a professional relationship.

Pros

The ability to to use editable grid and change remarks to wetland data forms after you sync them in the office. Also, the ability to take pictures of unknown plant species in the field and hopefully identifying them later in the office while using a desktop.

Cons

In recent years, data form locations were corrupted and had weird names, possibly from other users. I believe this may be fixed.

This software has been pivotal in the collection of data for a few different projects. From identifying areas of interest like litter hot spots, GPS locations of heavy lift and historical items, data collection for our litter categorization process and more! It has been user-friendly and paramount to our programs success.

Pros

We really appreciate the different features and abilities involved in creating unique survey questions and requirements to help us collect accurate valuable data in the field for our project.

Cons

Integration of Wildnote to our system was easy and we have yet to find a feature that we dislike.

Easy to look up plants for the veg portion of the form. Nice to have pictures attached to the form.

Some plant species names were not current. I wish the soil indicators were automatically checked once you enter your soil data

Pros

Easy to customize to an individual project to maximize efficiency in the field.

Cons

Overall I think it's great. There is a learning curve with which synch to do at what time, and the differences with the mobile app and the desktop app. I'd be curious if there is a future for using it in locations with a poor to no cell signal.

Set up is easy. Product is easy to use in the field. Produces clean data forms.

Cons

The main thing that I don't like is that it doesn't integrate with our Trimble handheld GPS unit. Also, if the survey point number is entered incorrectly initially changing it in the field is not easy to do.
