I thought that a migration from Jamf to Mosyle would include a significant loss of features and functionality, but it has been a much smoother experience than anticipated.

Pros

Very well organized, Very good at keeping up with Apple's changes. Very good support, available on weekends. Love the feature that easily runs Terminal commands on any endpoint and also tests shell scripts on any device before saving.

Cons

I've gotten tripped up by the need for including bundle id's, which wasn't necessary with Jamf. We've also had headaches with account lockout issues being more difficult to resolve because of mobile accounts, a requirement of Mosyle Auth.

really good so far. it has saved us on many occasions and just does the job perfectly for us. It is a tool that you just truly set and forget once your policies and configurations are in place.

Pros

The ease of use and the 100s of features it comes packed with have really elevated the entire experience.

Cons

detection & removal 2 could be a lot more advanced. Show graphs and include a data loss prevention system as well.

Awful, no one seems to work there and the proposals to fix issues don't make sense. No customer service is definitely a problem for any enterprise customers.

Pros

Low cost, met audit requirements, supports iOS devices, Mosyle was chosen by someone else without information on other options.

Cons

Terrible experience, haven't been able to change over the ownership to my account for 3 years despite multiple tickets. Contract automatically renews on the highest seat count. No customer support phone number.

Phenominal, Mosyle Fuse has taken our company from losing phone due to employee theft to being able to control everything down to which wi-fi network they can connect to. Love it.

Pros

Extremely professional and knowledgeable staff. An insane amount of customization and control over your devices and a non stop effort to continue rolling out new updates.

Cons

Im not super IT savy so the learning curve was a little steep but the customer service is top tier and helped explain or fix my mistakes very quickly.

My overall experience with Mosyle Business has been great. I've been using Mosyle Business for seven years and I like what Mosyle has done with the update path over the years. I'm looking forward to how Mosyle improves the product and adds feature requests in coming releases.

Pros

Mosyle Business features a clean design that simplifies finding options and choices, making it easy to navigate. It has a long-term history as an MDM and a strong reputation. I've used many other MDMs and find Mosyle to be the best.

Cons

There is a lack of a training program and delays in getting answers when immediate help is needed. Opening a ticket often results in a long wait for a response, followed by a series of back-and-forth questions. In some cases, this may require a meeting with screen sharing. This process leads to open time slots for scheduling meetings, which may be three to four days away to resolve the issue.

The level of control and customization/scalability is outstanding! I feel more confident about the security and functionality of all the devices on our network than I ever had before

I am still learning all of its capabilities, so at this point I have nothing negative to say about it

I have mixed feelings on Mosyle. It has some good features when it works. When we have problems they can be slow to respond. The layout requires switching back and forth to access everything you need which can be frustrating.

Pros

I like that it is easy to enroll devices and push out apps and web clips. Mosyle classroom manager is a great tool.

Cons

I don't like the layout of resources. I am continually swtiching from "Management" to "My School". Also, a lot of the options aren't easily accessible. It is can be slow to follow commands. Sometimes the system gets bogged down and it won't do anything for days. When renaming a device I have to try it 7+ times before it works.

Pros

I like the ease of setting everything up, and anyone who is familiar with basic system administration concepts can use this tool to manage a fleet of devices. I really wanted to submit this review to highlight how good of a job\[sensitive content hidden\]. did during our initial onboarding call. Extremely knowledgeable about not just the platform but even the ABM side which is a huge part of MDM and was polite and efficient. We went a bit over our scheduled time due to some of my questions but it wasn't an issue for him and he didn't even bring it up. 10/10

Cons

Nothing I don't like so far about the product nor the demo. Everything is intuitive and easy to understand, it doesn't require an extensive MDM or scripting background like jamf or some other platforms.

I was super skeptical at first about Mosyle cause it was unknown to me and price seemed too good to be true. But I ended up being absolutely blown away with everything. Price, features and new ones being added, support, and much more, its all been super amazing!

Pros

\-Easy to get started -Price is insanely cheap -Support is phenomenal! -Constant new features -Both Admin and End user friendly

Cons

I feel like you guys should make a JAMF nation-esque start up guide with tutorials and videos to help people get started. There are some profiles that are quite vague to understand. It would be much easier if we didn't have to hit up support for questions about it and instead you guys make quick 5 minutes or less videos on what the profile is and what it can do. JAMF does this with their products and it would be awesome if you could too.

It's just hands down amazing and to re-iterate what I said earlier it is the BEST Software out there for managing any kind of Apple product and there isn't a MDM provider out there that you can get for this kind of money!

Pros

I love the fact of how easy it is for enrollment and the new device setup process is SO seamless. I like the fact that you can see what any user has on their device installed. Love the fact of how you control which Software OS Upgrade Packages you can deploy per user.

Cons

There is nothing negative to say about Mosyle as I would say it's one of the best options out there and especially from a cost perspective I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone looking for an Apple product MDM Provider.

Overall I have been really please with the functionality overlap of Jamf for the features we use most often, especially considering the significant price difference. Mosyle Fuse has been much easier to deploy than Jamf Connect, and the Admin on Demand feature is incredible and easy.

Pros

I loved the ease of set up and configuration. Mosyle Fuse gets us the extra features that we needed to convince us to move from Jamf Pro, and the price comes in at a great value. Also, submitting a question to support has been a breath of fresh air, with timely and helpful responses.

Cons

While the support team is top notch, I wish the support documentation interface was separate from the management interface. There are pieces of Jamf I will miss regarding good software reporting, easy to use extension attributes that are contained in their own area, and quickly updated device group association based on EAs or other system attributes.

It took me some time but I immediately saw the value of Mosyle, especially once the company decided to go for the ISO27001 certification. I used to do monthly manual IT security audits which took me and the employees a lot of time. they were also never accurate because were done at a single moment in time. With Mosyle, we can enforce policies and look at the dashboard for any red flags.

Pros

Very useful tool to manage company devices, strengthen IT security and achieve ISO27001 certification.

Cons

I wish the ABM and Mosyle integration was 2 way

We were spending a lot of time trying to inventory and manage all of our Apple devices across 13+ different buildings and cities, with a low amount of staff and time to do so. This made all of that incredibly simple and fast, after the initial set up. We can assign devices to end user through Google Suite with our organization and allow each user to manage a good portion of their own computer, while still managing task or job-specific apps and programs as needed, pushing updates or blocking OS upgrades as well.

Pros

The customer support, from the primary trial and testing phase to the full deployment and management systems, is incredible. Honest, friendly, and helpful at a quick pace. This particular MDM has been extremely beneficial to our church staff, with the ease of compatibility with Google Suite, ABM, and our more specific programs and software. Occasionally there is a feature that we would like that isn't available (or is availble after the upgrade to Mosyle Fuse), but there is always communication and easy access to support for situations like that. Overall this MDM is affordable and powerful with some of the best support around!

Cons

This is more specific to a ministry minded- organization, but there can be, at times, difficulty around managing devices while still allowing a high level of personalization/ownership of a device. We don't manage as intensely as I believe some higher-level corporations would, which can be beneficial. Something I would like to see is some kind of "warning" or notification when a device is switching device groups, or a way to set parameters that "if this group is assigned to a device/user, then this group CANNOT be assigned to a device/user." That may be available honestly, but I haven't found it!

Overall very pleased. Mosyle is a fraction of the cost of their bigger competitor, yet is very user-friendly and full of all the features I need in addition to antivirus and security hardending!

Pros

Very easy product to integrate into our environment. Quickly built out our self-service catalog of software along with initial configurations to secure our computers. Rolled our no touch computer deployment for our remote hires and have been very please with the support responses I've received to all of my questions.

Cons

This may be something I just need to figure out how to configure but some software do not update automatically and require users to accept first. IOS updates specifically wait for users to accept and update even for managed devices. I was a bit skeptical at first too because there is not chat support which usually really appreciate but after opening tickets and getting prompt useful responses so many times, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at how effective support is as well.

Overall, our experience with Mosyle has been positive. I have few complaints about the system, and the feature-to-price ratio is unmatched in the industry, in my opinion.

Pros

One of the primary reasons our team is using Mosyle over other software such as Jamf Pro really boils down to price. We didn't need many of the features found in Jamf Pro, and Mosyle Business does all we need (plus some) for a fraction of the cost. Unless you need a very advanced feature set, Mosyle delivers an excellent management solution for pennies on the dollar compared to other similar solutions.

Cons

One of the biggest complaints I have against Mosyle is that the management interface is a progressive web app with no browser history. Everything happens inside of "mybusiness.mosyle.com", so there is no back navigation, bookmarking, etc. This is frustrating when I want to go to a previous management screen using the back button in the browser or on my mouse. The other damper on navigation in Mosyle is the lack of record linking. I wish there was a way to pull up a device record and then branch out to the various profiles/restrictions that are assigned to that device. The profile list is already populated when viewing device info, just make it a link and let me go straight to the profile I want to manage!

We have been running Mosyle for about a year now after switching away from Meraki MDM. There is no comparison: Mosyle is far superior. Issuing, loading, locating controlling, locking and releasing iPads has become a simple proposition that can be done form one page for all of our locations. Installing and software and books on iPads just happens. I cannot recommend this too highly. If you're not satisfied with your current MDM and even thinking that you're not happy with your current MDM: Switch to Mosyle and you'll never look back.

Pros

This software is simple to use, intuitive and seamless. Setting up Mac users remotely is almost instant. The built in Malware and virus protection is a huge bonus.

I love the help received. It took me a while to catch on updating the system. But when you send a question or set up to meet, the Mosyle team is very helpful. I also like the ability to track the number of systems I have set up and identify who is set up with what computer.

Cons

I don't think I like anything least. I am still learning.

Cons

It is hard to say anything negative about Mosyle's MDM solution. I will say that one of the only frustrating experiences I had was with figuring out how to get Pre-Installed apps license issues resolves. While the Support was quick to resolve the issue, it could be more helpful to have a notice or even a listing of Pre-Installed Apps that require licensing (through Apple ID or VPP), otherwise, the devices will constantly present error messages.
