Technology Technician Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Not too great" November 12, 2020 3.0 Not pleasant, I was very frustrated using their product Pros I liked the platform and how it broke down the different sections, and organized the applications Cons Not easy to use - often was confusing on how to access different parts of the platform Not responsive - many times I was waiting for apps to push through and it just didn't work Doesn't work from afar - cannot add applications unless the iPad is right next to me Review Source GW Gary W. Owner Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Mosyle Review" March 23, 2020 5.0 Overall, Mosyle is a great management platform for Apple products. It was recommended to us by our Apple rep as a product to try out and I am glad we did. We are saving money and able to manage our Apple devices now. Pros We began to look at Mosyle when we needed a remote management solution for our iPads. They have two tiers. There is a free version and a paid version. We are currently using the free version. The free version met our needs as we really just needed to push out the installation of certain apps. The free version does this as well as a few other things like setup security and wifi authentication. You can not run scripts in the free version. You do need the paid edition to do this as well as install pkg files. If you also need active directory integration, you will require the paid version as well. Compared to other solutions out there, the paid version is a bargain. Support was excellent and the onboarding process was easy. Cons We did have some trouble at first following along how they have their functions organized. We were more use to using the JAMF interface and so this took some getting use to and it wasn't always intuitive to figure out where things were. But, Support was excellent and always helped us through any issues we had. Review Source PB Paul B. MDM is NOT simple, there are many steps that must be done, but the guided setup Mosyle created really does help. Cons Applying profiles to devices could be easier. Sometimes commands aren't sent to devices and there is no profile collision detection (if profile settings would conflict I should get an alert so I can fix) Review Source Tim N. All that for a very fair price tag. The whole expierince was very nice and the support is really nice and helping. Didn't encounter any bugs or flaws so far. Pros I knew nothing about device management software, what it did and who would use it. I still don't know a lot, but I'm getting there. Because I was ordering laptops and sending them to employees across the country I needed a way of tracking and deploying these devices and keeping tabs on upkeep and software over time. This was the solution. The customer service was fantastic and It's so easy to use now. Cons It had a steep learning curve for me, and I still don't know everything but the customer support is great. Pros The interface is very accessible compared to most MDMs. It puts things in clear, concrete terms instead of obfuscating common workflows behind jargon. Cons It is well integrated with Apple, but that means you have to deal with some of the wonky API choices Apple made when you need to push apps. Pros the very easy way to configure and deploy devices let our IT have more time for business matters! Cons we use very few features of this software, and so is difficult to find possible improvements. maybe after some months of use could be more hepful for this tip.
