Support has always worked quickly to address any issues that have com up in the 4 years as a subscriber. Pros Host tools provided the necessary tools I need to manage my short term rental business. It makes managing my calendar easy and it allows my co host to be connected to all the communications from multiple sites. The value it provides is worth the monthly fee. Cons The font size on the mobile app is to small for my liking. I would prefer larger font. The connection with VRBO is always a little delayed. Airbnb and Houfy seem to transmit instantly. It has everything you need at an excellent value. Pros Host Tools is the perfect tool for short term rental hosts. It has all the functionality I need, including advanced logic for messaging rules. It helps create an excellent guest experience. It connects to all the major platforms and has a great mobile app. I researched others, but I don’t plan on switching anytime soon to the other STR hosting tools. The development team is also very responsive. They’ve taken a couple of my ideas and made quick changes from my suggestions. Excellent support! Cons Sometimes the settings or configuration tools are a little less intuitive than I’d hope. However, the help articles walk through how to get to everything very easily. Losing your Booking.com price entries and retyping ten properties by hand was a miscommunication on our part.  When calendar syncing is enabled, we sync your prices with the values set on Host Tools.  We are much clearer about that now, and nothing changes on your listing without your permission. What's changed since: Airbnb made us a Preferred Partner in June 2026. That's their designation, not ours; it's awarded based on technical and performance standards for the integration itself. You can verify it at airbnb.com/software-partners. I'd rather point you to their assessment than to my own. We also handle migrations ourselves now, free. We rebuild the listings, message rules, and pricing on our side, so nobody loses an evening re-entering properties by hand. If you're still hosting, I'd like the chance to make it right. Some of the competitors are only interested in serving multi-property clients, and they could care less about individual owners. Host Tools hasn't forgotten this crew, and I am very loyal to them as a result. Pros This is a high-value product managed by a team that understands the industry, relevant technical partners, and business trends that property owners have top-of-mind. It provided the best option to manage a property across multiple sales platforms at once. Plus, support was always attentive and personable. They respond quickly, have a good price for a small operation and helps you synchronize calendars for all services we are using. Pros It is easy to use, the messaging feature is awesome, gives us the option to divide the same property into two 2 bedroom apartments or a one 4 bedroom apartment flawlessly (which other apps can't), the calendar management is easy to use and the company gives personalized service and respond quickly. Cons So far we don't have any cons The company keeps innovating and have met our needs as the app has evolved. We managed our AirBnB remotely from 12000 miles away - a task that we simply could not have done without Host Tools Pros How easy it is to manage EVERYTHING for my property in one place. From door Locks, automatic messaging, through to auto reviews and integration of AI. Cons There's nothing that I don't like about Host Tools. They have thought of everything and are always responsive when something goes wrong. Owner Hospitality Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Runs my listings in the background, with support that actually owns problems" August 17, 2026 5.0 I manage two short-term rentals in Warsaw and Host Tools quietly runs the parts I don't want to think about — guest messaging, calendar sync and smart lock codes across both listings. The best compliment I can give it is that I rarely need to open it: it does its job in the background and my guests get what they need on time, without me. On the few occasions I did reach out, support was genuinely excellent. It has paid for itself many times over in hours I didn't spend on my phone. Pros Message automation is the core value and it just works — check-in details, house rules and follow-ups go out on schedule without me touching anything, across both listings. Setup was quick and the calendar/rate sync has been dependable. Support is the standout. When a guest code failed on arrival day, I got a real person (not just the AI bot) the same day, who checked the logs, told me plainly that my setup was fine instead of sending me to relink everything, and opened a ticket with the lock provider on my behalf. That's rare. Cons Very little to complain about. If I could ask for one thing, it would be a bit more visibility into the smart lock layer — a simple live view of what's been sent to the lock and when, so I can see everything is in order at a glance before a guest arrives. Immediate action is crucial when responding to vacation rental inquiries. 'Host Tools' gives me the security of knowing that by business is being taken care of 24/7 and is the most efficient and affordable product in the vacation rental hosting market. If I get a booking request after hours or while sleeping, not a problem. 'Host Tools' is working over-time! If I cannot interrupt my day to respond immediately to inquiries, 'Host Tools' has got it covered! If my internet is down or no service available. 'Host Tools' gets the job done! If I forget to respond! I can rest assure that 'Host Tools' never forgets! Pros 'Host Tools' is so easy to set-up and a must-have if much of your clientele is based on getting them a quick response. Knowing that all of my vacation rental inquiries will receive an email that is specific to their needs gives me peace-of-mind! The software gives examples of pre-written replies or allows me to personalize each response in my own words to suit the specific needs of my vacation rental property. Emails are automatically sent to my potential guests and includes accurate information that is pertinent to their inquiries (rate quote, rental agreement, house rules, direct bookings, check-in information, review requests, security information...). I can edit as I see fit and dictate responses to fit my personality. I am convinced that the quick and personalized responses that are made available by using 'Host Tools' has provided an incredible service to my business and my clients feel that their needs have been met. 'Host Tools' has given me confidence (and competence) as a vacation rental host that my vacationing guests will get fast and accurate responses to meet their needs. Pros I'm a 68 year-old woman and not very computer skilled, but I've found Superhost easy to use. What I use most is the messaging. It is customizable. I've chosen to write my own messages when I first receive a reservation, but if it is a last-minute reservation I have Superhost set to send a welcome message. I've also set Superhost to send a message the morning after the guests' first night to ask if they have everything they need, and then the night before departure to remind them how to check out. This saves a lot of time and scheduling on my part, and most guests seem to feel that I am being attentive. Cons I haven't had any problems with it. I haven't used the pricing software yet. I feel like I have seen it evolve into a critical tool that I use to run my rental properties. I have recommended it to several friends who also use it. Pros This is an amazing system that lets me easily set up messages for my guests. I love that I can change the timing so I can have a message go out once they book, then a message right before they check-in, etc. Cons I think one new feature that has been mentioned is connecting with locks. It does what it is supposed to reliably and we can get on with our other Airbnb services :) Pros Simple to construct event driven (checking, check out, settled in, inquiry, etc) from templates and edit those messages if necessarybin advance. Messages to coordinate services providers such as self-checkins, cleaners, cleaners etc never get overlooked or contain typing errors. It was hard to keep up with that. Pros The message automation is the best. It shows you a time line of the messages that will be sent and allows you to edit a message before it's sent. It will send the automated message at the prescribed time. Cons I wasn't sure how to use the automatic feedback tool. It didn't seem possible to leave less than 5 stars. I sometimes have to write a negative review and would love to have that automatically posted on the last day. Very difficult to implement without a tool such as Superhost tools. SHT does a great job of responding to inquiries. Unlike some other products, SHT does not mark the response with their name. And what it is very valuable for me, is that I can send very accurate indications, rules and much more information a need the guest to know prior their arrival and when in the place. Pros Easy to use and you practically not worry about been writing messages and rules on every time you book a place. The software does everything for you, on a timely manner ( previously programmed ) Cons There are some messages in the last minute that are set chronologically in sort order of conversation that some times the systema send disorderly and the guest probably realizes it is a bot or automated messages. I dont know if I could fix that or if is just like that. Anopther Con is that Now airbnb is working on a free host tool, not so good at the moment but eventually will be similar and with no price. Pros Let's face it, Airbnb smart pricing is typically on the low end which is an advantage for Airbnb and the guest but not for the host. This allows you to adjust it by an amount of your choosing. I went from managing an airbnb all day every day, to barely having to do anything now except just over seeing and making sure everything is running smoothly. Cons I LOVE the fact that you can have it text the cleaning people to have them schedule the cleanings and it reminds them the morning of, however that feature stopped working for awhile and hasn't been texting my cleaning lady. Thankfully i reached out to her to make sure she was good for all the cleanings this month, and her response was "what cleanings?". It would have been a nightmare had I not reached out to her!!! So as much as I'd like to fully rely on this tool, I still have to over see everything and stay on top of everything so nothing gets missed. Review Source HA Henri A. Pros I like the flexibility and range of options you have with the pricing rules compared to the standard smart pricing on Airbnb. I’m a new host and it’s helped me feel confident that I am getting fairly compensated for our space, since smart pricing was so low when we first listed. Cons It was a little intimidating at first to understand how to set up pricing rules. It would be helpful to have a package of rules recommended to start with since I didn’t really know where to begin.
