Envoke

## What is Envoke?

Envoke is a Canadian email communications platform purpose-built for organizations that need to inform and engage audiences—not generate leads. Unlike marketing automation tools designed for sales teams, Envoke serves communicators who prioritize clarity, reliability, and compliance. With straightforward campaign creation, mandatory messaging capabilities, and flexible sub-account structures, Envoke makes it easy to manage communications across departments or locations while maintaining brand consistency. The platform is designed for teams who need efficient messaging without complex features they'll never use. Envoke ensures your data stays within Canada—critical for public sector organizations, educational institutions, public health and associations. Every account includes free onboarding and unlimited support from real people.

I was part of a team who used Envoke for an awareness campaign-style messaging method. We were easily able to include branding images and colors, and saw success with the delivery and open rates.

Pros

I found Envoke to be user-friendly especially when designing the layout. I was able to easily incorporate my specific branding colors and images into the template, which I preferred over other platforms I've used. I liked that design blocks could be saved and implemented in new drafts. We saw success in the delivery rates and open rates throughout our campaign.

Cons

I had some initial confusion when it came to saving the draft email and duplicating for an updated email; however I quickly caught on to how to navigate it.

The database is dependable and easy to segment. We've never had a problem using Envoke in the 5 years I've used it. We can put together messages quickly. Also, it's crucial for us to have our database of contacts stored in a server in Canada.

Pros

The interface is easy to use and the support is prompt and helpful. Also, the analytics make reporting easy.

Cons

The only thing we didn't like is that in html mode the text doesn't wrap in the window. Instead you have to scroll across a line of code to make edits.

We have had over a decade working with Envoke (within a University setting), operating across multiple accounts. Our experience has been consistently positive. Our email and marketing campaigns have grown in sophistication alongside Envoke, as the company itself has improved its design and features. Thanks to Envoke, we are far more sophisticated in terms of our layouts, analytics assessments, auto-imports and effective usage of tags and segments.

Pros

We have been using Envoke for many years now, and have always been extremely impressed with their technical support. We have had tricky technical challenges and requests and the Envoke Team's responsiveness (and accessibility) is top-notch! We also appreciate that we have never had any issues with security or performance - their platform is very robust.

Cons

There are sometimes unexpected quirks when working with the templates. The design features have improved greatly in recent years, but there can still be unanticipated results when rendering on a specific e-mail platform (these are usually minor but annoyingly hard to troubleshoot).

Cost-effective, reliable, and customer-friendly platform that meets our needs efficiently and effectively.

Pros

Now, we have moved the Envoke subscription from monthly to yearly, which makes the process more convenient and is cost-effective too.

Cons

I have not faced any drawbacks so far. The platform has been smooth, reliable, and efficient for me and my team.

We had a very large and customized need to deliver out 135,000 individualized custom emails that contained an individualized table in each. This was the first problem as most emailing groups don't handle tables, at least not well. When we approached them, they were able to provide a solution right away and even took our needs back to their develop group for future considerations. We had previously used other groups and always ran into issues, often around reporting and logging. This was always the second problem getting good after-action reporting and they had it nailed. With one click we could go into the live reporting screen that had every statistic and breakdown that we could have asked for.

Pros

Envoke was very easy to use, affordable, got the job done and the staff were very supportive and responsive when you had issues. Being a Canadian company and having data sovereignty was also a big bonus.

Cons

My only complaint was that they weren't advertised enough and it took us way too long to find out about them.

Excellent. Software is intuitive and modern (drag & drop interface, re-usable sections, etc) while having lots of advanced options (API, automated sending, conditional content). Customer service is quick and responsive. The development team is regularly providing updates and seeking input from users on product improvements and updates to their roadmap. Product is well-priced and offers flexible payment options including pay-as-you-go.

Pros

Software that takes into consideration the needs of the Canadian market and regulations while being a first-class software. It's been designed not just an email marketing software as it's mandatory email configuration allows sending of transactional emails too. Using Envoke never feels like a compromise and it's easily one of the best available options for Canadian marketers and communicators.

Cons

Nothing to date. Having used the product for over 3 years, it's been regularly updated and continues to be a great product to use. Any questions our team has had have been promptly addressed while we've seen suggestions for product improvement incorporated into the product road map and released.

• Easy and enjoyable • Envoke makes editing the email newsletter easy • The templates they offer look fantastic

Pros

• Friendly user-friendly interface • Easy to create a new "message" template and edit it for the email newsletter • Prefer Envoke over Constant Contact

Cons

• Envoke needs a crop feature for the image • Editing the email newsletter template can feel somewhat limited, as it only offers white or black versions of the social media icons (I would like blue social media icons that have the exact colour scheme to represent the company I volunteer for)

I use it to build the a university newsletter and I find it useful for this purpose. I also send announcements and mass emails and I think Envoke serves best for this.

Pros

I love the fact that it is Canadian and it is straightforward! There are even tutorials available to watch. We are also happy about it's value for money.

Cons

The editing options could be more. I know there are a lot of features but one may need all the editing features of the Microsoft Work for example.

It's been a positive experience overall. Once we made the decision to switch to Envoke, we wondered why we hadn't done so sooner.

Pros

We were looking for a more secure option and Envoke provided that. The transition was seamless and we were well-supported. Envoke is simple and it was easy to get up and running quickly. We've been using the platform now for several months without any issues.

Cons

There were really no downsides! Their team was available to us throughout the transition and have remained in contact and supportive.
