June 17, 2020 5.0 I love that there is no more paper work and that parents / guardians are able to update their information easily. I also love the direct messaging function, meaning that emails don't get lost anymore. Pros I have tried many different programmes to help with the running of my performing arts business, but generally have found them either very complicated to understand and use, lacked certain functionality, or were to expensive to go forward. I was recommended Class Manager by a colleague who uses it for her own dance school and immediately I knew this was the software for me. I started with the free trial and found I could locate my way around quite easily without any training, it made sense! I complied a list of questions and then jumped on a call with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] who talked me though the little things I got stuck on in a professional, knowledgeable and friendly manner, allowing me to come off the call with the confidence to go forward - and I know that if I get stuck on anything again the team will be ready and available to help me going forward. It really is everything I have been looking for - easy to use, parent portal functionality, staff access, invoicing and payment option and all at a great price. Thank you Class Manager team, you've made mine and my clients lives a lot easier and efficient! :-) Cons Nothing has come up to date. When I spoke to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] he explained that a few functions were still to happen i.e texting function, so even though some functions may not be fully working the team are working hard to resolve it. June 19, 2020 4.0 Class Manager has made our lives a whole lot easier, we were using excels sheets for almost everything account, class lists, reports etc. Once you go through the training (which there is now a step by step tutorial) everything is super simple. Pros It's so easy to use and to train staff on. The admin are so supportive and are constantly upgrading and adding new features. Lots of features available, so you only need 1 system to use. Cons There's a few small features that I'd like to see in future updates, sms service which is being worked on, progress reports and an app would be amazing too. But for the price and all the other amazing features available, class manager won our vote! Reason for choosing Class Manager We trialled many other softwares, apps and products but was never completely satisfied. One of the biggest problems I faced was not being able to have an easy accounts system linked to a detailed class management system, class manager combines both in the sinplest possible way l while giving you every feature you need. Principal Performing Arts Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Class Manager " June 15, 2020 5.0 I used to really struggle with sending invoices, making sure I had added the correct children to the correct classes, charging them correctly, taking off holidays etc. Now all I have to do is add the child to the register, which I then use in class, it automatically generates an invoice for that child, and when I have added my schools holidays to class manager it then automatically deducts these too. It makes invoicing so easy. Pros Class Manager is really easy to use, if there is a time when you need help someone reply’s on the online chat really quickly to offer support. This is really useful for me as I’m not very good with Tech. The support is really helpful too and nothing is too much trouble. Cons I don’t really have anything negative to say about class manager, even when we all had to go online, up popped a new feature to enable easier accessibility for my customers to the online classes. Pros We transferred to this software from another provider. We received excellent customer support to achieve a very smooth transition of all of our data. The software is very straightforward and user friendly which really helped us to become accustomed to the new set up. We have found this software to be much better organised than our previous software. There is a logical format to its user interface which makes admin quick and easy. Cons We've not really found any downsides to this software. The customer service is first rate, so we've found that if we don't understand how to use a feature we can just ask. Help always arrives quickly and gets us back on track. Reason for choosing Class Manager We chose Class Manager as we already use services provided by IDS. So they are a trusted company. I just kept asking until I knew what I was doing and it took about a week or so to get totally used to it, but once you know what you’re doing it’s amazing! I also think it’s important that everyone goes through the getting started steps! Pros I love that I can send invoices and reminders without having to send individual and personal messages to my customers. The messaging system is brilliant too as it is now saving on texting and organising groups on my phone. Cons There are some things I can’t do like give a child a holiday allowance of their own so we have had to change the way we work to keep it it more simple. Pros This software was in its infancy when I started using it. I had been looking for a package to turn my business admin electronic for some time and was always put off by the price hikes for over 300 pupils. The software has now developed into a state of the art fully functional piece of kit. I love how the team listen to feedback and implement changed and are constantly improving and making additions. With also the ease of use on my phone, I can respond to a parent within seconds rather than having to search through files to find the answer or set them up. New parents can also sign up within seconds and take a look at trial classes without the need of handing out numerous forms for them to fill in Pros Very versatile across many devices. Very easy to create and add classes for a new season. Creating and sending invoices/orders is a breeze. Great customer service Cons A link for a list of the latest parent enrolments to classes and seasons as you don’t get notified if someone has enrolled. All possible on spreadsheet/databases but this is just easier and has the customer interface. Pros The ease of use anywhere, online & on my phone. The Excellent customer service, when I am stuck I simply email and get an answer within an hour. Since using impressed with the continual wish to improve service and database. Cons 1) That I am not notified when a customer registers on the portal - I have to actively keep checking , I really want an email or text alert to me. 2) Attaching Students to classes, having to scroll down lists of students or customers to find them to add to classes or other functions. The regular updates have improved the way we run the business and they are always happy to add new features requested by the customers. Staff are always to help out and provide a friendly service. Thank you class manager for a fantastic service. Pros The dashboard is a great way to see all the information and quick and easy to move around the site. Entering customer and student details was efficient and detailed. Having all their details at the click of a button is a safe and efficient. I like that it’s accessible from my smart phone when I’m out of the office or at the studio. Being able to see who has received and opened the e-mails is a real bonus too. And I'm not great at tech so I had a lot of questions to start with all of which were answered v quickly and sorted. Great live demo too so I learnt with someone talking me through it rather than having to work it out for myself. Pros Being able to see/edit all my classes at once and change as pupils join/leave. It saves a lot of time and keeps everything looking organised. Also being able to see at a glance who's paid, who's yet to pay, being able to send gentle reminders to parents at a click of a button rather than sending out individual emails. This all saves a lot of time and makes everything seem more professional. It has meant I can get on with planning my lessons and spend less time on my admin. Cons The only negative would be inputting dates of birth for my students, it was tricky to do at first as I think it was in the opposite to the UK setting but I believe that's changed now. We ask, they make the changed, sometimes within the day. It does everything we need it to, it's user friendly, current and much cheaper than competitors. There are no hidden charges, none! Setup way a doddle and a joy. They also have the most amazing integration with Zoom, life saver! Cons There are hardly any aspects we don't find useful. It took us a few days to get our heads around the idea of classes and lessons being separate but we've got it now. This may have been due to having to adapt to online lessons due to lockdown. May 20, 2021 5.0 All in all a very good software for administrative work that helps keep you organised and saves you lots of admin time. Pros This software has saved me so many hours of admin work, my classes, clients and students are organised and invoicing is all done for you. It is quite straightforward to use and admins are always updating and making it better. They listen to their clients needs and do their utmost to ensure the software caters for them. Cons The Point of Sale still needs a little work so that items sold within the school can be chosen by colour and size too. It's super easy to collect parent and student details by having them fill in an online registration form. I'm now on my fourth season of classes, and invoicing has also been made very easy - even given the fact I've had to make changes due to going back and forth between online and face to face classes! I also love that you can see who has received and opened messages from you! The staff at Class Manager are very helpful and customer focused. They're always keen for feedback and are implementing new features based on this. Would definitely recommend! Every time I click on a reason for a child being absent, it takes me back to the top of the register. There have been so many wonderful updates with new features at no additional cost. Cons When I was on the pilot scheme & early into paying for the system there were quite a few teething problems which caused me quite a few Issues but customer service were always quick to help.
