I have been using this password safe for many years and recommend it unconditionally.

Pros

It's easy to use, the price is fair, you only pay once (no subscription), and the number of passwords is not limited (as far as I know).

Cons

A small bug: Whenever I enter new passwords, a message appears that this exact password has already been used once (which is not true). But this is negligible.

I and my team appreciate Password Depot because it makes it easy to login to different sites without having to memorize intricate password details. It is easy to use and it autofill passwords on different platforms conveniently. It is a relatively simple tool but quite useful.

Pros

I Like Password Depot because of its ability to capture, securely store, and auto fill password conveniently when I want to access a certain website I has accessed in the past. This means that I don't have to keep a record of passwords, which could be accessed and used by criminals. It updates passwords easily upon successful login to a website.

Cons

Although it keeps passwords safe, I always wonder what measures Password Depot has put in place to prevent security issues from their end. Just like someone can access a list of passwords stored in a computer, can the stored passwords be accessed by cybercriminals at some point? However, we have used Password Depot for a long time without any issues.

Pros

I use password depot because I have never had any security scares with it, and I don't need to read any instructions or watch and videos to figure out how to use the program - very intuitive

Cons

I have not found anything I would improve. Truly has all the features I want, yet still is very easy to navigate

I have used Password Depot for more than 15 years and have never had a security problems with the web sites I use. It creates passwords of random characters, numbers and symbols. You can define how complex and how long the password should be. When you go to a web site, Password Depot will enter the user id and password for you. I also stores URLs so you can go directly to your web site from Password Depot. It has a good file system so you can arrange your passwords in a manner that suits you. It can be installed on a USB drive so that you can take it with you when necessary. The price at around $50.00 seems like a good value to me.

Pros

Stores your passwords and user ids. Creates passwords that are nearly impossible to break. You can have unique passwords for every site. You only need to remember the password for accessing the program. Makes logging into each site simple. Synchs password files from multiple devices. Can be installed on a thumb drive.

Cons

Icons could use some work. There are some web sites that do not allow you to copy and paste a password so you have to type it in and it can be difficult to read the created passwords.

It was demonstrated at a seminar that I attended.

Pros

All! It would be good if you could store documents directly in the database and not just a link

Now a days i have a lot of users and passwords in many platforms so is really useful to have a secure platform where i can store all of them.

Pros

You can save the data base in Cloud so whatever happens with your computer, you can recover your information. I like that it says how difficult is your password to crack.

Cons

The interface can be kind of confusing to use, because it has a lot of adds on, personally i don't use any because i really don't know how.

All passwords are in one depository and manageable. The depository is not in the cloud for hackers to access. Password Depot continues to improve their application. All good.

Pros

Password Depot is not in the cloud so it is only hackable if someone access your file on your computer.

Cons

It is hard to switch from one password file to another. I use it for company passwords and personal but switching from one to another is a bit of a pain.

Ich habe nur gute Erfahrungen mit Passwort Depot gemacht und auch schon mehrmals weiter empfohlen. Gerade für Umgebungen, wo eine Cloud-Lösung nicht in Frage kommt, ist es das ideale Produkt.

Pros

Die Installation ist sehr gut dokumentiert und einfach verständlich,. Auch das granulare Berechtigungssystem ist für IT Administratoren ein echter Vorteil.

Cons

Dass man die Felder nicht customizen kann.

Ich habe Password Depot bei einigen Kunden installiert und in unterschiedlichen Verwendungsformen. Teilweise werden sogar Dokumente mit hinterlegt, alles möglich. Die Ressourcen, die Password Depot erfordert, sind gering und ich würde sie mit nichtig bezeichnen.

Pros

Password Deport ist eine sichere datenbankbasierte Möglichkeit, alle Kennworte und sicherheitsrelevanten Informationen abzulegen. Die Möglichkeit, mit mehreren Usern gemeinsame und zugleich persönliche Daten zu lagern und zu nutzen machen Password Depot für jedermann sinnvoll. Wer es ganz sicher mag stellt die Melderoutine von Password Depot so hart ein, dass jeder nicht erfolgreiche Zugriff sofort gemeldet wird. Sicher ist das!

Cons

Der Installationsprozess ist ein wenig heikel. Dabei ist nicht die Installation selbst gemeint sondern die Auswahl der richtigen Client-Software. Aber mit ein wenig Übung oder nach dem ersten Fehlschlag klappt es in der Regel die nächsten Male. Updates müssen immer über alles gemacht werden, Server und Clients. Bei größeren Installation sicherlich ein kleiner Koordinierungsaufwand.

Sehr effizient, genau das was wir für den täglichen Betrieb benötigen.

Pros

Sehr effiziente Kennwortverwaltung, Wir arbeiten bei uns im Team inzwischen Ausschließlich aus dem Produkt heraus, Suchen nach dokumentierten Kennworten gehört damit der Vergangenheit an. Wir sind rundumm zufrieden, Offline Funktionalität, angebundene Mobile Endgeräte und Berechtigungsvergabe im System runden das produkt ab.

Cons

Aktuell würde es und freuen wenn es noch möglich wäre den Default Start bei der Schnellsuche noch auf den aktivierten Baum zu begrenzen, bzw. dies wahlweise tun zu können, aber mit der Erweiterten Suche ist das ja möglich.

Das Programm läuft einwandfrei, keine Abstürze und keine unnötigen Meldungen. Durchweg positiv. Support stets gut erreichbar und sehr kompetent.

Pros

Alle Passwörter an werden an einer zentralen Stelle verwaltet. Wir betreiben selbst einen Password Depot Enterprise Server, somit sind alle Daten in eigener Hand und von allen Mitarbeitern erreichbar. Egal ob Windows Client oder auch auf dem Smartphone. Durch die Richtlinien auf dem Server ist es uns möglich den Mitarbeitern immer die jeweiligen Daten zur Verfügung zu stellen. Jeder kann alles gibt es nicht.

Cons

Die Bedienung auf einem Smartphone ist schon etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das ist allerdings meine persönliche Meinung.

Die schnelle Suche nach dem Passwort, insbesondere die flexible Einstellung der zu füllenden Felder mit individueller Anpassung. Die Bildung von Gruppen.

Cons

Keinen Hinweis auf neue Versionen oder Updates beim Nutzen der Software.

Wir arbeiten täglich damit und erspart Zeit, man kann sich schneller bei Benutzerdaten anmelden, sei es über die Kopierfunktion oder über die "Blitzfunktion" in dem man den Benutzernamen und das Passwort sofort erfasst

Pros

Passwörter sind super abgespeichert, man kommt nicht mehr durcheinander für die ganzen Registrierungen und Benutzerdaten die man heutzutage benötigt

Cons

im Moment gibt es keine Nachteile, nur Vorteile

Support antwortet schnell, Server und Client laufen zuverlässig. Kollegen habe auch gute Erfahrungen gemacht

Pros

Einfache Bedienung, RDP und Putty Einträge. zusätzliche Parameter für RDP Verbindungen möglich.

Cons

Probleme mit automatischer RDP Anmeldung (Fehler kommuniziert - Anfrage 70553). Ab und an SSL Fehler beim starten von Passwort Depot - beim zweiten Programmstart funktioniert es dann meist ohne Fehlermeldung.

Dass es eine gute Möglichkeit gibt es in einer Terminalserver-Umgebung mit Browser-Addon zu nutzen. Zudem ist die Berechtigungsstruktur gut durchdacht und einfach aufgebaut.

Cons

Das es Probleme gibt, wenn man an mehreren Computern gleichzeitig angemeldet ist. (Also mit dem selben Benutzer)

Password Depot ist ein tolles Produkt, das sowohl für den Einzelplatz, als auch für das Netzwerk mit einer zentralen Datenbank verfügbar ist. Die Bedienung ist intuitiv und die Installation einfach zu bewerkstelligen und gut dokumentiert. Preis und Leistung stehen in einem guten Verhältnis!

Cons

Nachteile habe ich bis jetzt noch keine festgestellt.
