Pros It's easy to use, the price is fair, you only pay once (no subscription), and the number of passwords is not limited (as far as I know). Pros I Like Password Depot because of its ability to capture, securely store, and auto fill password conveniently when I want to access a certain website I has accessed in the past. This means that I don't have to keep a record of passwords, which could be accessed and used by criminals. It updates passwords easily upon successful login to a website. Cons Although it keeps passwords safe, I always wonder what measures Password Depot has put in place to prevent security issues from their end. Just like someone can access a list of passwords stored in a computer, can the stored passwords be accessed by cybercriminals at some point? However, we have used Password Depot for a long time without any issues. It creates passwords of random characters, numbers and symbols. You can define how complex and how long the password should be. When you go to a web site, Password Depot will enter the user id and password for you. I also stores URLs so you can go directly to your web site from Password Depot. It has a good file system so you can arrange your passwords in a manner that suits you. It can be installed on a USB drive so that you can take it with you when necessary. The price at around $50.00 seems like a good value to me. Pros Stores your passwords and user ids. Creates passwords that are nearly impossible to break. You can have unique passwords for every site. You only need to remember the password for accessing the program. Makes logging into each site simple. Synchs password files from multiple devices. Can be installed on a thumb drive. Cons Icons could use some work. There are some web sites that do not allow you to copy and paste a password so you have to type it in and it can be difficult to read the created passwords. Teilweise werden sogar Dokumente mit hinterlegt, alles möglich. Die Ressourcen, die Password Depot erfordert, sind gering und ich würde sie mit nichtig bezeichnen. Pros Password Deport ist eine sichere datenbankbasierte Möglichkeit, alle Kennworte und sicherheitsrelevanten Informationen abzulegen. Die Möglichkeit, mit mehreren Usern gemeinsame und zugleich persönliche Daten zu lagern und zu nutzen machen Password Depot für jedermann sinnvoll. Wer es ganz sicher mag stellt die Melderoutine von Password Depot so hart ein, dass jeder nicht erfolgreiche Zugriff sofort gemeldet wird. Sicher ist das! Cons Der Installationsprozess ist ein wenig heikel. Dabei ist nicht die Installation selbst gemeint sondern die Auswahl der richtigen Client-Software. Aber mit ein wenig Übung oder nach dem ersten Fehlschlag klappt es in der Regel die nächsten Male. Updates müssen immer über alles gemacht werden, Server und Clients. Bei größeren Installation sicherlich ein kleiner Koordinierungsaufwand.
