We use a few of the different services. Pros Customer support is very knowledgeable and accessible. No long wait times to reach a person when you call on the phone Cons So many reports are sent daily/weekly. The data is the same, just in different formats. It would be good to have better subject lines for the emails. The notices for the payments are timely. Pros Once in the program, the ease of being able to add people. I've only used it maybe three times, or twice. Not real proficient on the entering of new contributors. Cons What upsets me the most is getting into the system. It seems like my password never works. This happens almost every time. I call Vanco and they help me change it. Then once I'm out of the system and try to log in again, the password doesn't work. Do not understand. The ability to do a QR code that can link directly to a specific project/area that we are looking to collect donations for is a great asset as well! Pros It is very easy to use. The reporting is detailed. Church members are able to give at their leisure in whatever method they prefer. Cons Nothing, unless of course fees could be reduced. But the fees are very competitive already, so I am not sure that is even worth stating. I receive an email once payments are set-up, processed or deleted which is convenient. Pros It is easy to set up the different tiles for the different payments. I like being able to request the different reports directly from the system. Refunds are easy too. Cons I would like the option to have the credit cards fees applied to the donor/payer payment and not an option for the payer. Not only have our contributions increased, but the regularity of donations helps plan our budget. Additionallly, it is so nice to talk to an actual person every time I call. Pros It gives our congregation the opportunity to be regular contributors as well as the ability to donate to special projects and/or occations. Also, someone is always available to answer questions and assist me when a situation arises Cons Although, I understand the need, what I like least is the fact that I have to change our password so frequently. Reports are easy to access and print for our secretarial staff. Pros It is easy for our church members to use for their tithing. They also can readily tabulate it in their bank accounts. Cons Some of our members have to pay a fee to tithe in Vanco. How can we assist them so they do not have to pay a fee to deposit their tithing? Our school district now uses Vanco. They provide a full-featured financial package to churches with options that you can add to enhance your service to your congregation. Pros Because they began "in Faith" they continue to provide a product designed specifically for Churches. They provide all the options that we would desire. Cons They sometime produce and promote products that are not full flushed, but, it's a learning process for us all. The keep pushing us forward, so really not a con. Vanco notifies me of all transactions. Everything is handled efficiently. Pros Payment processing is easy and painless. I appreciate the notifications. I have no issues with Vanco. Cons I do not know how to contact Vanco, but I've had no reason to contact Vanco for anything. Easy to use. The interface for donors is attractive and intuitive, and it's easy for users to sign up for regularly scheduled or one time donations. Pros Vanco allows us to offer an online avenue for our church members to give regularly, and for our guests to donate for special causes or events. Cons Initial setup took awhile, but that's because we had so many funds to add. Sometimes the import of guest donations takes an extra step. I love being able to just transfer all the data into our platform (works well with ICON) at any given time for any time period! Pros The way congregants can be in control of their own contributions is the best part! I can easily look up individual's information and forward to them if needed to reconcile a person's online giving (and personal account giving). Cons The password changing .. three of us share the login and sometimes they forget to tell the other two what the password is.
