CEO/President Marketing and Advertising Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Amazon SES Email Dream Platform" April 7, 2021 5.0 I had a grandfathered 10k plan with GetResponse I just wasn't using as often and the latest deliverability reports did not show it was performing well an more. I figured it was time to look at the market and I started discovering new solutions such as EmailOctopus and eventually, MailBluster. MailBluster is unique in that they offer the Saas hardware, but you need to bring your own Amazon SES and SNS credentials/account to actually send the mail. This puts an interesting pressure on business owners to "keep things clean" since their own Amazon account is being used. It also reduces MailBlusters sending costs since they're only using hardware to initiate sends and tracking. The free pricing tier is perfect for startups if they don't mind some light branding on their emails. The paid pricing tier is so low that it's almost a no-brainer if branding is an issue. Pros Incredibly low-cost thanks to Amazon SES email delivery. Provides the same features large expensive platforms charge $20-200 per month for including Integromat integration (cheaper Zapier alternative). It's like having Sendy hosted free in the cloud (but it's not Sendy). Cons Their logo has a "Beta" under it which concerns me and makes me wonder if they'll switch pricing models once they grow a bit. I do wonder how they can keep providing such an incredible value at such a low cost. November 9, 2020 5.0 I have been using MailBluster for more than 2 years and I am impressed with the easy, intuitive and straight forward usage of it. Features like tagging contacts, importing contacts from CSV file, segmentation, custom fields, multiple users were designed and developed just like how you wanted it to be. It provides 3 types of email composer including drag & drop editor, timewarp delivery (SUPER COOL!), custom unsubscribe page, but still it's extremely cost effective than any other bulk email service provider currently available. I was amazed by the quick, helpful and professional support centre who understands the demand of their customers. I really think this is a product every email marketer dreams! It's been the best. Pros MailBluster was an answer to our prayers. It's smart, easy to use and can support our subscriber base without the extra costs demanded by other companies. Cons We had one problem with the send rate but it was fixed very quickly. They're really responsive. There's not anything to dislike. Cons It does not support other SMTP servers rather than AmazonSES and certainly not the custom SMTPs like Postal or other opensource self-hosted SMTP solutions that give them​ freedom of sending unlimited emails for free. There's room for improvement in segmentation, exporting and importing leads. Other than that all the features are reliable and good. You get 62000 emails free monthly, and the price after that is very affordable and probably one of the cheapest email services I've found. Pros It uses amazon SES, benefits from the free 62000 emails monthly, and easily integrated in any website. The API works with Wordpress, Integromat, Zapier etc... very easily. It took a few minutes to get functioning. It's very easy to use to capture leads with any form. It has built-in templates and you can easily use/make your own. I have a very good open rate with over 53% and my emails never land in spam. Cons Importing and exporting subscribers' data is very basic. While you can add special fields, when you export, they don't show. I can't even segment by something as simple as country for example. The other problem is that when you import new segments of subscribers, it doesn't automatically leave out the subscribers already in your list even when you choose to skip the lead during import which causes me to make another step creating another segment to only the get the new subscribers. No attached to contracts or "unfear" plans like other ESP. It's way too easy to use and release beautiful emails in a few clicks. Cons The time to import a database is long (up to 15 min for a ~25K list), segmentation options are a bit too limited. Can's export reports in a single spreadsheet. Moreover, there is a real-time tracking and reporting feature that allows you to track and monitor your campaigns and bring changes in it if needed. It's the most inexpensive email marketing software. The support is very helpful & listen to the customer's need. The user experience is great. Creating email is intuitive. Cons There are no big issues to mention here. There were some features that we needed, and we requested for them. The team developed the features later so no complain.
