The system is easy to manage and handles print and kitting better than other storefront software. The Job tickets and files set up allow for automation through any type of system. Cons The inability to route a product to a specific plant or printer. The routing is currently user location based. Also, the inability to connect with other systems for two-way communication. The available tools and options can make this a competitive web storefront. Cons The problem is for companies with fewer than 10 employees, and without full time IT specialists or web manager, success is very difficult. After one year of working on our site using employees that have other job functions, we are not much closer to any success. You need at least a 15-20 hr/week employee to create, manage and update your website along with updating PrintSmith Vision. It is not the best solution for small employee companies. Cons The lack of being able to bundle and have the items flow to Radius. We have multiple "bundles" for our Oil change department and that would be a highly efficient part of the software for us. August 12, 2020 3.0 MarketDirect will help us streamline our repeat orders. It is perfect for us to build a storefront for customers who are looking for an easy button for repeat orders. With this implementation, it also frees up time for our sales team to continue growing our business. Pros The final storefront for customers is very professional and easy for them to use. I also like that we can personalize the URL for each store making it fit the brand of the people we are building for. I have also appreciated the recent update to the internal Products page. Our trainer \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the product. He is the reason we can use the product. Cons Setting up a storefront is incredibly difficult. I wish there were a training manual and videos that goes through everything you need to setup a full storefront. The help section is very in-depth, which is great, but it does not tell you what needs to happen in what order. I am also very disappointed that MarketDirect does not integrate easily with Monarch. For use attracting and competing with other print sites for new customers, it is not as robust as the custom sites in the competitive space. Pros It is customizable. The templates are standard fare. Cons The back end is incredibly unusable. It has taken me weeks to learn how to find key functionality, and required technical support to show me how to find what I needed. Converting to online order placement has been a goal of the company for many years and now DSF has allowed us to make that change in a way that integrates with our current Pace system Cons I found during set up that there are some really tedious tasks that we feel could have an easier way to do. For instance when editing products we believe an 'edit all' function would be really helpful (rather than having to open each product individually.)
