Pros Very user friendly, the support articles online are very easy to follow and step-by-step. software includes a lot of features Cons Unable to generate consolidated financial statements or perform intercompany transactions. Pros Simple easy to use all in in one accounting software, for payroll, accounts payable and receivable, secure web based software. Cons Getting a bit expensive over time, sometimes can be a bit hard with integrating other platforms and apps. Pros I found MYOB business easy to use, i love how simple payroll is, i have been using MYOB for a few years now from MYOB account to MYOB business. It’s a reliable tool for handling all our core accounting functions, including reconciling accounts, managing payroll, sending invoices, and tracking transactions. However, syncing MYOB with other software, like Total Synergy, can sometimes be a bit challenging, which interrupts the otherwise smooth workflow. Despite these occasional hiccups, it’s an efficient solution for managing our finances. Pros What I like most about MYOB is its efficiency in handling all my accounting needs. I use it for bookkeeping, reconciling accounts, sending invoices, managing payroll, paying bills, and tracking transactions. It keeps everything organized in one place, making monthly financial reviews straightforward and helping me stay on top of our accounting tasks with ease. Cons What I like least about MYOB is that syncing with other software can sometimes be unreliable. It used to be possible to speak with someone easily to get assistance - now it is a nightmare Pros The software is good and once learned is reasonably easy to use and is very accurate. Cons The customer service. Heaven help you if you need to speak with someone or get any technical help!!! Make sure you can have your phone line available for a couple of hours wait!! I will not recommend MYOB to anyone. Pros It looks nice but that is where anything good stops for MYOB. Cons Every accountant I talk to advise not to use MYOB. I have now been locked out of my account for over a month with their system incapable of remembering logins requiring external apps which then don't work, have also been unable to share access to reports due to MYOB changing statuses without my knowledge. Absolutley nothing. I just can't say anything positive about it other than if you just want to do some simply invoices then yes it will work. Cons It is very limited and very difficult to use. Almost as if it has been set up to frustrate you to upgrade to a higher product. Just getting basic reports is nigh impossible. No need to keep it in your computer drive. Pros The invoicing in-tray ables you to drag and drop your invoices on queue to process it smoothly. MYOB captures the details and all you need is a double check if it got the correct details which most of the time is correctly, unless your invoice/receipt is blurry. Cons I think it’s the payroll. " March 10, 2021 1.0 Mostly problems compared to the old software. Pros Payroll is ok it has some nice features on pay items but nothing the old essentials could do easily. Cons The list is far too long. The old essentials is excellent. All that needed to be done is have the option of reports it had be converted to excel rather than PDF. Pros Easy to use once you know how. I like that I can log on from anywhere top access the accounting software. Cons MYOB ceased to support Account Edge on Mac so on recommendation by the sales team I transferred to MYOB Essentials. It is easy to use however because it's web based it hangs intermittently. MYOB added a feature to Item ID on invoicing, adding an information symbol without widening the column. This causes the Item ID to be partially obliterated. This makes it difficult when checking item numbers or picking the order. I have spoken to support who have failed to address the issue or even discuss it. The other issue is support.
