Head of Engineering Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Frontify is working and I can leave the office" May 14, 2026 5.0 Marketing can finally find there own assets and stop asking me to do a resize from two years ago. Because all of our assets are located in one place, we no longer waste money on the same stock photo over and over again. The license tags prevent us from getting sued for using an image incorrectly. Pros The AI search worked and pulled up the actual faces within the event photos, which is nice since most of the time it doesn’t work like it should. Not having folders isn’t bad either. Cons The portal lags so much at times I need to click refresh a lot. When attempting to switch months on the collection calendar, the height will jump around, forcing me to constantly move the mouse each time and its an absolute headache. In addition, doing a filter reorder by number versus being able to drag them is antiquated and outdated. Review Source AL Amir L. The user interface is easy to use and accessible both from an editor and user point of view. The multiple web-parts available make building color palettes, typography pages and logo libraries easy and straightforward. They are highly customisable too! Cons The part I liked the least are the "editable/customisable templates". They are potentially great to allow users create their own on-brand creative assets but the templates lack some flexibility and are not as solid as I'd like yet. Review Source WA Wilson A. August 2, 2022 5.0 It is indeed, a pleasant experience. Currently we are using this tool in only one segment of our business. But since we are seeing a lot of potential and scalability in this tool, which might eventually expand to our whole organization! Pros It is extremely easy to use, very intuitive and allows any normal lay person to create breathtaking marketing materials online! Cons Font Management: For marketing templates, there should be a 'central, font server type approach' to font management with selection allowed every time to user as opposed to inclusion of fonts in every InDesign package. This makes the InDesign packages heavy every time when we need to include font scripts for different languages. Reason for choosing Frontify Due to many reasons. The main being its capability to integrate with many platforms that our organization is already using. Second, it crunches InDesign files like they are some salt pepper chips! :-) It reads them so beautifully when we follow the guidelines to pack them. Third, the usage is very intuitive and user friendly and as I said, even a non-designer, normal lay person can create useful marketing material online. Review Source Carla M. Pros It's very easy to use and to set up. We work in a big company, so lots of people use it. Everyone is very happy with it. The template function is amazing, saves us al lot of work and everyone in the company makes use of it. Also the costumer support is fantastic, really helpful and and quick response. The platform has been implemented in August 2019 and is globally available for our 30k employees. They have access to all style guides, an asset library with more than 60k assets, as well as many other important brand topics and elements. The platform is managed by our global Brand & Corp. Design as well as UX team. Maintaining, adapting and updating the platform is as easy as 123. The system is pretty self-explanatory, easy-to-use and to navigate. Cons At the moment, we're only using the Style Guides and Icon Library products. Both products work very well and comply with our expectations and needs. The two products Publisher and Media Library are currently tested and reviewed. Compared to other products in the market, the Publisher feature from Frontify is not as sophisticated as expected though. Other than that, we're really satisfied with the products and service from Frontify. Also, we've received fantastic feedback from all around the world - our regional and local Brand & Design team are very happy with the platform. In no time we had our structure for our product design system up and running. It's very easy to switch between edit and view modes. The text formatting options and the blocks offered make it very simple to create the specifications for components and share them with the development team. Cons What I am missing is a way to collaborate in real time with others on the same page in Frontify. I would also like more block options to help explain more detailed interactions in a more visual way (for example I really like the Dos and Don'ts block and would like more options like that). Pros it is hassle-free and we can make the brand and customize the things before we finalize based on our requirements. Cons there is nothing wrong with the software but at some point, the software was stuck in the middle and got worked again. Maybe in the future you should consider having different modes available, e.g. Writer's mode, Designer's mode, etc. Pros Clean UI and the navigation is fairly decent Lots of customisable features are nice, adjusting typography, etc. The support team is very good too, so thanks for that. Cons I would like to drag and drop content (like supernova) Some copy/paste functions are buggy. As a writer, it would be nice to be able to tab skip between text blocks too. Cons There were a few software restrictions on some of our functionality requests however there were work arounds provided. These didn't affect our overall usage experience. Pros Setting up a site to manage and control access to our brand guidelines was extremely simple with Frontify. It took very little training to be able to utilize the features in our package, as well. Cons I suppose there might have been some limitations around some of the core platform's templates but that didn't necessarily impact our use of the tool. I tend to think brand management software like this is typically more important for B2C companies than B2B ones but our use of Frontify was definitely successful, especially after going through a brand refresh and needing to ensure adherence to new corporate standards. Pros I love the ease of use and editing, and the clean and simple result. I'm sure a lot of employees will like the new portal and find it useful. I like that there are dedicated features for a brand book like Do's and Don'ts and more. I love the technical support provided by the chat which also includes the support of a Customer success person on your behalf, and many useful articles in the academy. Cons I am missing the option to hide certain parts within a page and not just the entire page. I lack the ability to copy and paste parts I have designed and based on them in other places. Sometimes you need to refresh the page for a particular action to be a ceiling (like deleting headings below an image) I'm missing the ability to upload a PDF as a format in the Logos library. I plan to continue to use or encourage using Frontify in all of my future workplaces, as every place needs structure and organization for their design systems. Cons I wish there was a way for users who aren't admin members to invite others within their organization to their style guides. Before, we always had to search for a picture for a very long time, now it's super fast thanks to keywords. Pros The image database and the style guide help our zoo enormously to have an overview of the different designs and also to be able to check again and again in the team how everything was defined in the CICD. The image database is huge for us, but thanks to good keywording it is still easy to use. Cons Simple and straightforward to understand, usable without much introduction - even for users without much prior knowledge.
