We have been incredibly well supported by the IRostrum team throughout the process and they continue to offer support with each auction, should we need it. They have been very quick to respond to queries and provide solutions. Really excellent customer support.

Pros

We have been successfully using the IRostrum software for six months now and have found it extremely user friendly, practical and straightforward. We have had success with our auctions which have run seamlessly. The public facing 'front end' appears slick and easy for clients to use and understand and our staff have found the 'back end' process of uploading the lots simple and straightforward.

Cons

There have been a few areas which did not immediately align with our practices, for example, sequential invoice numbering but the IRostrum team were happy and reactive to working with us to find a system that worked for us.

The overall experience was pleasant. Everyone at iRostrum wanted us to succeed and we felt supported. The product looked great and the auction ran incredibly well.

Pros

Customer Support -iRostrum's support team stayed engaged with us as we launched our first auction, whenever there was a hiccup (and there were) they were quick to help resolve. Value for Money - The fee structure at iRostrum works well with our business model. We were able to present a well design platform that meshed our branding well without having the pay for many extras we did not need. Bidding Process - With iRostrum the pre-bidding and live bidding process was incredibly smooth, it provided us with more data than many competitors and gave us insight into bidder behavior.

Cons

Since it was our first auction with iRostrum there were some growing pains while getting set up. Sometimes the route to get were we wanted to go would take a while but we always got there. In the live bidding environment, since the bids are 'auto accept' rather than 'click to accept' and there is not currently a button to push the iRostrum bidder out if someone on a different platform got there first, there were a few challenging lots to execute.

### "Outstanding Auction Software"

Pretty much seamless from onboarding to loading our first auction. For as complicated and intricate as auctions can be, iRostrum makes the entire process a piece of cake which anyone could pick practically without any prior knowledge. I was able to load and run our first auction after a half hour onboarding and I could honestly have done it without any prior instruction. That’s how user friendly their platform is. Highly recommended for any small or large auction company looking for an all-in-one user and budget friendly package.

Pros

Superb customer support from the iRostrum team. Always quick to help and solve issues when they arrive. The bidding process is streamlined and user friendly. The back office is super easy to use and saves a ton of time post auction when it comes to invoicing. Literally invoice hundreds of buyers with the click of a button.

Cons

There are a few back office navigational things that could be streamlined and it would be nice to have a bit more control over the design of the lot page such as changing the colour of the “current bid” text when a lot is in a selling state. It would also be good to have some more information around auction information while it is running such as a running total of lots that are selling prior to the auction going live.

Their flexibility in accommodating the required personalizations for our sale was remarkable, and the platform remained stable throughout the two-day auction.

The only potential challenge was the time zone difference due to our location in Australia, but this was effectively mitigated by iRostrum’s around-the-clock support, making it a non-issue in practice.

We are very satisfied with the collaboration. There is active input on optimizing the website’s setup, and the bulk upload of auctions runs efficiently. The website is continuously developed with a focus on user-friendliness. The back-end portal is clear and uploading auctions is straightforward. Additionally, support requests are handled promptly and effectively.

Cons

In the past 8 months, I have not had any negative experiences with iRostrum. The only minor drawback is that the CSV files downloaded can only be read with the UK version of Excel, while we use EU versions here.

We needed a user-friendly solution for running a charity auction for our employees before moving offices. iRostrum was a great option as it was easy to setup and use, but also because the support team was by our side in every step of the process.

Pros

It was very easy to set up and user friendly for the people bidding. Also, we could tailor it to our needs and our branding.

Cons

Some functionalities were not available yet, like the exports to excel. It would also be desirable to be able to export the whole history of each of the auctions.

Fantastic, we as a company are so pleased with the whole experience, more importantly so are our customers, old and new. The support we received from Marijke and her team was exceptional, the passion for great customer service and for the product shows through at every turn.

Pros

iRostrum was an absolutely find. We have used auction houses for years and knew that we wanted to do something different, holding our own timed auction is a game changer. iRostrum was such a straight forward platform to learn and host on. What should have been daunting was so straightforward and we were able to start and complete our first auction of 158 pieces within 4 weeks. Brilliant !

Cons

Literally the only thing that I would change or that I struggled with a little was the getting the layout for the invoice right. Positioning my logo and going over to 2 pages threw things out a bit. I would spend more time on it next time.

Working with the iRostrum system is key to the success of Maak and how the team operates. It eliminates the time consumed with processing bids, gives transparency and autonomy to bidders and gives us the vital data we need in order to grow.

Pros

Being able to run an auction from any location with a small team is the key to the success of our business. Bids can be placed by clients from anywhere in the world and our clients feel in control giving them the confidence to bid. Having the transparency of bidding enables us to use the valuable data to grow and build relations.

Cons

There are very few cons but if I had to give one, it would be the search functionality for clients is perhaps not a simple as others

iRostrum is great but MAAK are even more impressive, especially as you have established a Foundation to support the under-researched ceramics field, and begun a programme of live in-person panel events. I wen’t to the )’Driscoll one and am hugely anticipating the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] one. Thank you. That these are free is also awesome for people on low incomes (of which there are alas far too many nowadays).

Pros

Efficient, transparent, reliable, and most of all very user friendly.I really appreciate the multiple images of each work.I also appreciate the provenance and exhibited fields which add detail to the genealogy of works, where known.

Cons

I am really struggling to answer this, as I have never had a problem with the software.

Irostrum Is clear and easy to use and I find it very intuitive to navigate round.

Sometimes the search function doesn't immediately find what i'm looking for, it would be nice if this was a bit smoother at times.

We have also recently released a redesign of the client registration pages so when people forget their passwords it should be even simpler to reset this and access your account.

Excellent. Stable platform that looks good and can deal with a lot of traffic. Friendly customer service who not only explain features but help incorporate any special requirements we have.

Pros

The front end looks great, letting our customers browse our auctions easily. The products can be displayed clearly with as much information as you want and the bidding process is straight forward. Make it clear and easy for the customer and you get bids!

Cons

We have multiple viewing venues and you cannot list them all. Easily solved with a link to our Events Page.

We've been using iRostrum since 2017 and have found it to be excellent for our needs. We've always found the team to be very supportive and helpful - they are keen to take on feedback so they can develop features/functionality.

Pros

Above all, it's user friendly and it makes the bidding process very straightforward & easy for our clients.

Cons

We've spoken to iRostrum about the potential to add in shipping costs to the Invoices - this would help us enormously.

I appreciate your comments about introducing the ability to add shipping charges to invoices and am pleased to report that a recent release has included this new feature so that you can manually add any additional charges you might need to an invoice so hopefully you'll find this works well for you.

its seems a generally useful and easy to use system

Cons

i seem to remember that in the past the time elapsed for a sale counted down automatically without refreshing the page, that doesn't seem to happen now

Regarding your comments on the automatic countdown, you'll find that in our timed auctions the individual lot pages where the bids are placed all count down live with no need to refresh - this hasn't changed - so hopefully you'll have a chance to see this in a next auction.
