Pros: Easy to learn

Has about every feature one would ever need

Visually pleasing and easy to follow.

Love the menu search function.

Cons: Customer support is hit or miss. Some are great and others are awful, so it's very frustrating. You should have people specialize in certain functions and then route calls accordingly. System is too big for everyone to know everything.

The timing/money for customer reports is just absurd. Even making an "enhancement" to a report that's already out there is a ridiculously long process. You should have a division of your development team dedicated to this so the requests don't take so long.

All reports should have the option to run as rate type as opposed to just site type. Not everyone designates specific sites as specific rate types, so it's hard to run your business.

Should be able to batch reports to schedule to send to users as opposed to each one being it's own email.

Occupancy report needs more options: ie: reservation status.

Should have a yearly user conference in the US.

Overall: At the end of the day, it does the basic functions which is to be able to book reservations and take payments.

Pros: The software is user friendly and fairly self explanatory. Holding past guest details is critical and being able to go back and analyse and review past periods is very important. The ease with which most things are able to be done is a big plus and the suitability for multiple users makes it a valuable reservations tool.

Cons: Ideally it would help if we could correct errors easier and delete invalid information that is out of date such as rates, users, room types etc. Unfortunately this cannot be done once the rate has been used meaning that we now have dozens of rates (literally) that we no longer use but cannot delete from the system.

Overall: Having used RMS now for more than 11 years the experience has been a good and happy one. The support is 2nd to none and I have always had a good and helpful response from all the support staff. It would have to be a very dynamic and vastly different system to get us away from RMS.

Pros: Great backup support in such excellent time

Cons: Just the different layout of what I have been used to for years

Overall: It is so nice to be able to have the same person to deal with 90% of the time as they know how you operate and we can fully understand one another

Pros: software is good...most interested in the customer service !! Anytime I have had any issues they have been taken care of by Angie. I have been involved since the beginning with selecting RMS and have worked with and still have access to and talk with Todd Sabo occasionally . I believe you all use our property and set-up as a model for prospective clients

Cons: can't really say anything bad about the software...every once in awhile it glitches out but it's software !!!

Overall: works great with our RV Resort reservations

Pros: It's reasonably easy to use and as the years go by I am learning more and more about it. The tutorials that the customer representative gives are most enlightening and I've learned heaps from those.

Cons: It crashes at least once/day. Generally the busy part of the day.

Overall: I love the customer service, they are amazing, so quick, so good. Just the customer service alone is worth having this product.

Pros: The real-time online bookings!! If a customer is booking a site or cabin online, it becomes unavailable to the front desk staff. This has eliminated double bookings! It is not clunky like campground manager.

Cons: The error messages after the developers install an improvement. I love the fact that they listen to their customers and respond to improve the customer experience but wish they would do more testing before rolling the improvements out.

Overall: No double bookings! Better accounting and front desk controls!!!

Comments: We only really use the program to record the reservations other than that its a bit complicated when you don't have a lot of time to spend sitting in front of the computer going through the knowledge base to work out how things work.

Pros: Easy to use the basic functions Easy to input reservation details and send out confirmations and registration cards. Don't use the system for much more than that. Go back to rms9 to set our rates as its a complicated process and haven't had the time to sit in front of the knowledge base and work it all out.

Cons: Lack of training when we up graded to RMS9+ Not easy to follow some of the help and knowledge base

Training is excellent. They go out of their way to help get setup.

Pros: Automation and Flexibility are so important. I can change the software to fit our company and not the other way around. Having the ability to change menus and pricing myself means the only thing slowing down my company is me.

Cons: When saving tickets, it takes 3 to 5 seconds, that's a lot of time for small-talk with customers. To print a receipt it can take another 30 seconds just to start printing. Time better spent helping other customers

Pros: We have recently installed RMS. I have used RMS in previous parks I have managed. I suggested RMS for this company as not only am I familiar with it, but compared to others I have used, RMS had the best features and support. Any requests that I have initiated have been answered on the same day.

Cons: The only thing I don't like is that when I do a site fee increase (we are an over 50's lifestyle village, and as such only have permanent residents)the receipt still shows the old site fee and then the current charge is the new rate. I would like to see this altered.

Overall: As an over 50's lifestyle village, we don't use the online bookings components although I have in previous holiday parks. The utilities processing is fantastic on RMS as I can do all costs eg, service availability, usage and sewerage usage with just one process, could not do this with our old system. This has cut down my meter processing time by half.

The owners are very impressed with this system.

The old Tariff/OTA Mgmt needs to be merged with the new Tariff Manager feature

It should have an extranet for RMS Book now botton for reports purposes

"Rate From" information is incorrect on our website - It cant be fixed as per RMS support

Pros: very easy to use, i work using the booking sheet so that i have a graphic view of availability. The reports I use are easy to manage which helps with keeping track of rentals accounts

Cons: The continuous changes to the program are a nuisance. Every time something changes it affects the printing process. I have been using the program for 16 years and have seen a lot of changes some good but of course some bad. If it isn't broken don't fix it.....

Overall: We are able to monitor vacancies and offer deals to boost occupancy

Pros: The ease of use. Simple enough to learn for nearly anyone. The help center is also available to do a quick search for a how to tutorial if needed. I also like the online booking and guest portal. This saves the office staff a bunch of time with reservations on monthly guest rent payments.

Cons: Overall there is little to dislike about the software. However, I would have to say there is a lot to it and that results in a lot to learn especially if you are the person performing the initial set up for a property. Some time a simple error can result in a feature not functioning properly or not at all. Lots of steps sometimes.

Pros: practical and simple with flexibility...but this would not submit without the dots!!!!

Cons: frequent changes which have added more steps to simple tasks.

Overall: Customer service can be very hit and miss and with extreme contrast. The product is easy to use and easy to train new staff with. The small changes that are frequently made are not always helpful and often seem to complicate previously clear tasks. Overall we will stick with RMS for now however it would be better if we could sell easily book tours, dinner and experiences with it.

Pros: Easy to navigate around without any training.

Cons: I find that after printing a few invoices it takes the paper through the printer but doesn't print the invoice/receipt. I then PDF the invoice/receipt which works for a while until I get a message that tells me the cache is full. I then have to sign off and back on again to right the situation. Not sure if this a program thing or a problem with my computer/printer. Otherwise it all works fine.

Pros: Customer service. Always eager to help. Helps us understand and very patient in walking through all the steps. Never makes me feel stupid since I am still learning this software.

Cons: If there was anything that I could say about this is that i have no idea. I have never used any other camp software I have used plenty of dental and never could get help with technical support but this is great.

Comments: Thank you- you guys have been very patient with me and have provided outstanding service so far. Keep up the good work and I always look forward to speaking with you.

Pros: Great customer service: kind, prompt, and detail oriented. I also like that I get some of the same reps and am building a rapport! A lot of features are intuitive (but not all, see below) Helps me stay organized and on top of my reservations/transactions Still new to the program and discovering a lot of its features, but there seems to be a lot of features to be implemented to really control all elements of business in one place (RMS)

Cons: Wish customer service was available on the weekends too While the program itself is relatively intuitive, there's a lot that is not and requires what feels to be extensive support/training. Also, it was easy for me to update User Profiles and completely mess up my Field Maintenance screen (again thanks to support I was able to get it fixed relatively quickly) Program is glitchy and requires for me to log-out/log-in to accurately refresh data

Pros: Easy to use, web based, great booking chart, pencil feature is nice, multiple ways to book reservations.

Cons: Point is sale function is not the best

Overall: Have been using RMS for over a year. Great software. Easy to learn. Has the features we need. Not thrilled with the Point of sale functions it is some what limited for our needs. We can't use the Point of sale module they have because we have MAC computers. Overall good software and good service.

Pros: Easy to navigate. Available on multiple devices making life a lot easier for me.

Cons: Even though I have been using RMS for 12 years and I realise that there have been many improvements. I still have trouble when setting up new tariffs.

Overall: Since using RMS cloud the hick-ups experienced earlier do not seem to be a problem. Resolving issues promptly has also improved dramatically.

Pros: The best part about RMS is the 'owner accounting' We manage multiple holiday homes owned by different owners and the reports you are able to generate are very useful

Comments: Having deployed RMS at multiple venues, I can safely say it is a robust and easy to use management system.

Pros: Intelligently designed user interfaces Easy to use and intuitive Amazing customer support Has all of the features you would want/expect

Cons: The initial set up process takes time; training needs to be done, then the actual set up. (Worth it though, as once it is set up, smooth sailing)

Comments: In my opinion RMS continues to offer great value and if 9+ worked as well as 9 then it would be smashing!!

Pros: Review is for 9 as its better than 9+. Yes I know that 9 will be unsupported shortly and that, I believe, is a shame.

Cons: 9+ is still very slow for us and has a number of issues. We have made a list of the ongoing issues and will send shortly.

Pros: Real Time online bookings! RMS blocks our front desk staff from making a double booking when someone is choosing that particular site online. It has saved our Park a LOT of headaches!

Cons: RMS Seems to roll out upgrades with no notification...

Pros: RMS is a dynamic program with lots of capabilities.

Cons: Obtaining support in order to accommodate our rate structure and opening dates is difficult. Calls and emails to support were unresponsive and disappointing.

Pros: I have enjoyed the new system as our old one would never let us do the things we get to do now. We have three people who take care of this lodge for the owner and this new system has gave us more customer info than before and hold deposit for room's. As well as let us on the system all at one time. Loved all the training we got as a group and it helped make us great with the RMS system for our customers.

Cons: Sometimes the training was hard with three people who were not in the same room but it was nothing you need to change. I did have to learn about how customer leave deposits on their booking that i didn't know about. But i was able to play with our website and find the report and record the transactions.

Overall: We were all running on one program which only one person at a time could use. We would also sign in and mess up others who were putting in a reservation. This also helped with the space we saved as far as on a computer which we were running out of storage space for all the info.

Pros: We use RMS for multiple ventures, including a motel and holiday home rentals. I find RMS flexible for the needs of different operations.

Cons: The correspondence section of RMS is my least favourite tool. I would like to be able to add external pdf's before sending out.

Pros: Ease of use and support given by the technical team and customer service. Accessibility from mobile to laptop and desktop.

Cons: I have not experienced any problems yet and I have been using RMS for about 10 years now.

Pros: Works well with booking.com, expedia etc for managing bookings with no double ups or any issues. Easy to use and to keep track of everything

Cons: Tariffs can be a bit confusing when using with OTA's but that's a small price to pay for flexibility.

Comments: It is probably not the software that is totally at fault, although it can be quite complicated and difficult to navigate. I sometimes think RMS delight in making things more complicated with so called enhancements The customer service is seriously lacking and wait times are quite long.Weekends can be extremely long. Definitely don't call unless it is an emergency Also customer after service is terrible when it comes to the changes/ enhances made to the software. No one bothers to notify when procedures changes. I will give 2 examples of this. 1: Apparently passwords are now case sensitive as of beginning of Oct 2016. It was not until i had an issue with RMS9+ late in October that I discovered this. I had been using the program without case sensitive password and of course the first few weeks in October. All of a sudden I now have to use case sensitive password after the technician I spoke with about the issue I was having had logged in to us. He did not tell me he had changed the password to be case sensitive and I spent a harrowing experience on a Saturday without being able log in. To me this was an emergency. 2: I was not made aware that if a situation occurs on a weekend I need to telephone support. From the support page there is no where to find a telephone number to call, The support page asks for a direct chat. but it is not manned on weekends. The Log a service request is also not manned on a weekend. This emergency number should be easily visible .

Pros: RMS 8 was a very good program in its day RMS 9 is more difficult to manage. RMS 9+ is still having glitches and is even harder to manage .

Cons: The longer we deal with RMS the more disillusioned we become. with everything from the software its self to the the way their accounting is handled and the customer service.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make sure you have a good hard look at RMS before you commit it . It is very difficult, expensive and time consuming to change. I would probably look at different software if I was doing it again.

Pros: Navigation, easy to use. Help desk is amazing. Janelle, our trainer was fantastic, even after we went live. I love the ability to submit questions online and have them answered so quickly. Everyone I've had any contact with is extremely knowledgeable.

Cons: Doesn't quite fit EVERY aspect of our property but it has made our operation of Horse Park so much easier in several ways. I would love it if I could transfer "requirements" on a sibling reservation to the Group folio when you select "Group Rate -yes" instead of having to transfer them individually. We have Group folios that have anywhere from 10 to 50 siblings.

Pros: So many features. Especially love the reporting. We're linking up with HomHero which uses RMS for the back end Trust Accounting. The software relationship between the two is coming together nicely but with some to be expected hiccups along the way. Really amazed at RMS support which is prompt and reliable.

Cons: Communication between RMS and HomHero, while improving, needs further development ASAP. Still, better than alternatives.

Overall: I sent off 3 seperate support requests on a Saturday afternoon expecting responses on Monday. Lo and behold I had responses within 10 minutes and then a phone call when one didn't give the info I had requested. Blown away by that after my experiences with other PMS.

Pros: The option to have different databases for different parts of the busines. The ease of use and support

Pros: Customer service is excellent. Always friendly and eager to help!! If we don't understand something they help any way they can and we do not have to hold very long.

Cons: Nothing! We absolutely love the software. Sometimes the language will change to French then back to English. Other than that no complaints
