First time 4-5 years ago and now last months. It has evolved alot in those years with alot of new cool features, like news"warnings" and results on the frontpage, also I "index numbers" floating by on top like on Cnbc/Bloomberg etc. I did try another journaling program where you had to put in all trades manually. I think idea was that you will reflect more on the trades if you do that. I prefer doing that in the journal and not oh so repetive tasks. I saw it was the price of a year from Trademetria for owning it, and they said they would evolve it. However 3 months later, they made a new version with some of the things I asked for (joirnal both writing and reading was like this on a phone except you saw 5 short lines. They had no "Edge" to say it like that. (the survey did not accept the name on company I used. Its named Edgewonk jfyi) Pros Personally I like the journal tool where you write down the things you can keep track of things you want to improve. You can make a template so you have the "area you track" at same place in your journal until you change template. Items like Did you keep focus all trading session? How long/what distracted you? Did you kept your stop in place and not moving it to early? If yes why? Did you hold your target where you planned or did you take profit before target? If yes why? Cons I don't really can think of anything. It is very easy to get it to your liking (setup of frontpage/dashboard) And I don't know any methrics not implemented. I like that Trademetria is a very trade compressive journal for the price. Pros I like the ease of importing trades, the trade journal that is customizable and all of the reports. I couldn't have reviewed and perfected my setups any other way. Trademetria is definetly worth the price and will definetl;y will be with them for a long time. Pros The feature that have helped me out as a trader the most is the auto import of my trades. They are really helpful since its lots of work i wouldn't want to do manually. Cons One feature that could be improved is the number of accounts you can use in a free trial. Altough its limited to one maybe adding an additional one would be very helpful for people who use multiple accounts for different purposes. Pros This is one of the very few trading journals that get my imports correct. I have Schwab and used to have Fidelity and neither put what time you traded the stock. That makes a big issue when you are trying to import your trades into a journal. This works. Cons I am a little concerned about how many times the \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] talks about no refunds for any reason. He even says that if you decide to downgrade then you will downgrade immediately, but no partial refunds or credits will be given. I don't think that is fair. Most other companies at least give you credits to use for the future if you downgrade. Reasons for choosing Trademetria Price and accuracy was the major factors. I like Tradeinsights because they also got my imports correct, but because it is free, support is not really there. Tradervue was not accurate either. With tech support being so responsive, that alone has just smoothed out any sort of bumps. Pros The tech support is second to none. Their responsiveness is great. Lovely graphs, excellent journal, and great data in the order history section. I'm using Tastyworks and the broker import is on point. Did I say tech support was great? Any questions, big or small, they jump right on it. I'm a customer for life. Cons Every once in a while I hit a size limit on the journal entries. Basically, I'm trying to upload a chart jpg and it's too large. Simple fix, reduce the size, and re-upload. Before the last update, my SPAC merger ticker change was not importing properly but that has since been solved. Hard to find anything on the negative side. Grateful for the free trial option. I worth your work and it's really nice you open it to small users like me. Everything is very intuitive, no entry barrier really. This is the only app that felt less painful than a handmade excel sheet. Most amateur users prefer excel not because its flexibility but because it starts very simple and you can make it more complicated on the go, this makes us feel safe and not too silly. Trading platforms tend to show charting and data as a sort of psedu-science the more complicated it looks the better. Pros Visually friedly, reliable and focused. I'd like being able to create separate areas for crypto, long ,short term plans and to have an area for research Cons I really like it. I wish it would help me to learn more about trading while I am using the platform. A click and drag screen personalization would help. I am a visual person but a data driven mind so data visualization is a key tool for me. I see further visual tools for data representation as a good way to improve the platform.
