The explanations and help resources are clear, but there is still a learning curve, especially when you first start using the system. Because ChMeetings offers many different features, it takes some time to become familiar with the various functions, as well as the differences between the admin view and the member view. Once you understand how the system is organised and where to find information, it becomes much easier to navigate and use effectively. The time invested in learning the platform is well worth it, as it greatly improves efficiency in church administration and communication. Pros ChMeetings has truly transformed the way our church manages administration. It has significantly reduced the time spent on admin tasks and member data management. Member information is easy to find, making it much more efficient for our team to access the details they need. The roster feature helps everyone stay informed, and updates can be communicated quickly and effectively. The app is also an excellent platform for sharing announcements and important information with the whole church. Overall, ChMeetings has improved our team's communication, organisation, and efficiency, allowing us to spend more time focusing on ministry rather than administration. Cons For all the cards in the portal, there is no way for me to just attach a pdf file, I only allow me to share a link from OneDrive or google drive. Also, there is no way I can just leave the visitors in a place that will not occupied the active member's number. Because I have to add every visitor as a person in order to check them in, even though they only come for one or two times. Pros Weekly Newsletters are easy to create and much easier for members to read them on their phone without having to move a pdf around. It is very menu driven which I like and the menu options are clear. Pros I think the Worship planning is easy to use. Also, ChMeetings is one of the only CHMS system which has an accounting module. Cons One of the things I think can be improved is the Songs database section in the new Worship Planning tool. We replaced several apps with this one app. The mobile app sets it apart from the competitition. Pros I like how complete the software is. It replaced 5 different software packages. The software is very intuitive to use. When I have questions, the support is quick and accurate in answering my questions. The software enables us to communicate with member via text, email or push notifications using the mobile app. Cons No much. The software is very complete. When there is something I don't like, I have submitted a feature request and within weeks to a couple of months, I have seen my requested features get implemented. All team members who have access to CHMeetings have been able to navigate the system to achieve what they are expected to do. We would highly reccomend this software. Pros Church meeting is easy to use, has been very effective for our needs as a small church. It has been fairly easy for some of our older team members to be able to use the church meetings software fairly easily, as it has a clean and simle layout. Cons We have been really happy with all elements of the software. The team at CHmeetings have been prompt in responding to any queeries or issues we have had. They have taken our feedback on board and have quickly implemented many of the features we have asked for to allow for greater compatibility/meet our church's needs. I love that they are actively receiving feedback and implementing new features all the time. I also really appreciate how easy it is to use. I had to train some of our older members to use it for logging our collections, and they were resistant at first. But they've been doing it for exactly 6 months now and have told me that it's much easier to use than our previous software. They've been able to develop a deeper understanding of how to use it and so they can intuitively troubleshoot their own issues without calling out to me for help! The way it's empowered them to be more computer literate has been amazing. Pros For the price, ChMeetings met all of our church's needs - flexible roster, contribution recording and reporting, financial reconciliations, event management and attendance tracking. We also enjoy using the app to keep the members up-to-date with events and members-only resources. Cons I would like to see more flexibility in reporting. ChMeetings aggregates a lot of data, but I've found that I wasn't quite able to get the exact reports that I needed. I have an analytics background and I would just love a build-your-own report. No more tedious complicated Google spreadsheets that break all the time. Such great value for money. God bless the creators and developers exceedingly and abundantly above all that you could ever think or imagine! Pros I have been searching high and low for something like CHMeetings that provides an all encompassing system that allows one to have a proper database for all people, leaders, groups and a huge bonus of an almost fully fleshed accounting system as a bonus. AND it doesn't cost a fortune and you don't need to pay extra for any features that is included in the whole system, it's all just available, it works and customer support is fast & so helpful. The email application works perfectly, our emails have been looking so much better, more professional and it's really easy to navigate. We have rolled out the system to over 200 of our leaders by now and everyone loves it and it's been really user friendly. Cons The only thing that can be improved is perhaps under the Follow ups it is sometimes difficult to see who created a follow up if the Responsible person is removed. And it might be helpful to give the person that created the follow up a notification once the follow up has been completed. No need to log in or develop another email to confirm Pros The ease of learning the system and having all of the information that I need on the dashboard. Using the customized email is the most appreciated features. Everyone reaches back and thanks me for the beautiful email. Cons Would like to add people to the email who are not members, but first time visitors. This would keep all of the outgoing emails within this system - instead of from my personal email representing the church. I also understand that the system was created to support members, not visitors. The things it is lacking are not exactly negatives. Pros The low cost for being able to do what we need it to do. It's a little clumsy and takes extra time to figure things out, but since we can't really afford a more expensive app, it's working for now. Cons It took time for me to figure out how to navigate the app and often I have to demonstrate to church members how to use it because it's not very intuitive. I would like a message board or chat feature. It would also be nice if members/users could choose upcoming events they would like to be reminded about with a notification or email. I wish there were more inexpensive label printer options compatible with the app. I wish there was a list view that showed both the date and volunteers' names for planning. Being able to print that list/calendar would also be very helpful. I have been so surprised as they didn't really come up on my radar when I was first looking and I think they are a hidden gem of a company! Pros There is so much to love! I love that they have an app that we can use within our teams to communicate via notifications. No need for SMS subscriptions as long as everyone has logged into the app. The volunteers and service planning does the job. Also, the app is amazing for quick registrations to events and meetings with options to link it to a form that gathers information and automatically links it to registrants existing profiles on the database! And you can share the link so that even those without the app can register the same way. They also have good security settings in that you can place rules around what people can from the database based on their roles. The learning curve didn't seem very steep to begin with, and I found that I learnt more from just trialing the system with a small group of people to learn what the user experience is and how I can manage it from an admin side of things. We have not used the payments and donations functions as we have our own systems for this so I cannot comment on this part. The BEST part about Chmeetings is the customer service and the team of developers. They have improved features based on my feedback and I am honestly shocked at how responsive they are and how hard they work to improve user experience and functionality. Cons Some of the design features (fonts/graphics) are limited, especially if you want to use it as your primary platform for communications that are more than just text. Also, you can save email templates with a particular signature so you're not copying and pasting every time, but it's not exclusive to the user - anyone can use anyone's template to email someone, and this can be problematic for privacy reasons. However, they are updating the platform so regularly that I wouldn't be surprised if this is something that is no longer a con. I asked tons of questions before ever even signing up. Once I did, nothing changed; the ChMeetings team still treated me as before, like a top customer. Anytime I had a question or raised a ticket, they were quick to respond and help out. I've had some unique migration needs and consolidated 3 different software into ChMeetings with little help. I'm now able to handle most things from one user interface. So far the software is amazing at covering my needs and if not the support team helps find a way to make it happen. Overall, my experience with ChMeetings has been wonderful! I'd highly recommend them over some of the other big names in the space because with ChMeetings I don't just feel like another number. Pros ChMeetings has a good support staff and development team. They get out updates and new features speedily and are quick to respond. The cost point is very competitive and the software gives you everything you need to consolidate to one piece of Church Management software. Cons Some of the more in-depth features are still lacking compared to some of the other main players in the Church Management software field. That said, ChMeetings is quickly developing and seems eager to catch up to the same level as the other big names out there.
