This system allows me to easily reach out to members, send schedules when assignments are needed for serving. The confirmation message is also very helpful so that the acknowledgement is one click. No need to log in or develop another email to confirm Pros The ease of learning the system and having all of the information that I need on the dashboard. Using the customized email is the most appreciated features. Everyone reaches back and thanks me for the beautiful email. Cons Would like to add people to the email who are not members, but first time visitors. This would keep all of the outgoing emails within this system - instead of from my personal email representing the church. No more tedious complicated Google spreadsheets that break all the time. Such great value for money. God bless the creators and developers exceedingly and abundantly above all that you could ever think or imagine! Pros I have been searching high and low for something like CHMeetings that provides an all encompassing system that allows one to have a proper database for all people, leaders, groups and a huge bonus of an almost fully fleshed accounting system as a bonus. AND it doesn't cost a fortune and you don't need to pay extra for any features that is included in the whole system, it's all just available, it works and customer support is fast & so helpful. The email application works perfectly, our emails have been looking so much better, more professional and it's really easy to navigate. We have rolled out the system to over 200 of our leaders by now and everyone loves it and it's been really user friendly. Cons The only thing that can be improved is perhaps under the Follow ups it is sometimes difficult to see who created a follow up if the Responsible person is removed. And it might be helpful to give the person that created the follow up a notification once the follow up has been completed. The Giving product in Planning Center would not at all have worked in Namibia, I would have zero access to any of their accounting features. With the size of our congregations & the amount of leaders we have, it would have been impossible to afford the system to the extent to everything we have access to in ChMeetings. " June 25, 2026 5.0 Overall I’ve had a positive experience with ChMeetings. It is very menu driven which I like and the menu options are clear. Pros I think the Worship planning is easy to use. Also, ChMeetings is one of the only CHMS system which has an accounting module. Cons One of the things I think can be improved is the Songs database section in the new Worship Planning tool. Specifically adding a field for CCLI number and an added bonus would be to integrate with CCLI and Praise Charts (praisecharts.com) to import chord charts. The things it is lacking are not exactly negatives. Pros The low cost for being able to do what we need it to do. It's a little clumsy and takes extra time to figure things out, but since we can't really afford a more expensive app, it's working for now. Cons It took time for me to figure out how to navigate the app and often I have to demonstrate to church members how to use it because it's not very intuitive. I would like a message board or chat feature. It would also be nice if members/users could choose upcoming events they would like to be reminded about with a notification or email. I wish there were more inexpensive label printer options compatible with the app. I wish there was a list view that showed both the date and volunteers' names for planning. I love that they are actively receiving feedback and implementing new features all the time. I also really appreciate how easy it is to use. I had to train some of our older members to use it for logging our collections, and they were resistant at first. But they've been doing it for exactly 6 months now and have told me that it's much easier to use than our previous software. They've been able to develop a deeper understanding of how to use it and so they can intuitively troubleshoot their own issues without calling out to me for help! The way it's empowered them to be more computer literate has been amazing. Pros For the price, ChMeetings met all of our church's needs - flexible roster, contribution recording and reporting, financial reconciliations, event management and attendance tracking. We also enjoy using the app to keep the members up-to-date with events and members-only resources. Cons I would like to see more flexibility in reporting. ChMeetings aggregates a lot of data, but I've found that I wasn't quite able to get the exact reports that I needed. I have an analytics background and I would just love a build-your-own report. Administrator Religious Institutions Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Wonderfully surprised" April 24, 2026 5.0 Overall, I'm sure other platforms do some things better than Chmeetings, but for what we needed for our small church, it has exceeded expectations. I have been so surprised as they didn't really come up on my radar when I was first looking and I think they are a hidden gem of a company! Pros There is so much to love! I love that they have an app that we can use within our teams to communicate via notifications. No need for SMS subscriptions as long as everyone has logged into the app. The volunteers and service planning does the job. Also, the app is amazing for quick registrations to events and meetings with options to link it to a form that gathers information and automatically links it to registrants existing profiles on the database! And you can share the link so that even those without the app can register the same way. They also have good security settings in that you can place rules around what people can from the database based on their roles. The learning curve didn't seem very steep to begin with, and I found that I learnt more from just trialing the system with a small group of people to learn what the user experience is and how I can manage it from an admin side of things. We have not used the payments and donations functions as we have our own systems for this so I cannot comment on this part. The BEST part about Chmeetings is the customer service and the team of developers. They have improved features based on my feedback and I am honestly shocked at how responsive they are and how hard they work to improve user experience and functionality. Cons Some of the design features (fonts/graphics) are limited, especially if you want to use it as your primary platform for communications that are more than just text. I asked tons of questions before ever even signing up. Once I did, nothing changed; the ChMeetings team still treated me as before, like a top customer. Anytime I had a question or raised a ticket, they were quick to respond and help out. I've had some unique migration needs and consolidated 3 different software into ChMeetings with little help. I'm now able to handle most things from one user interface. So far the software is amazing at covering my needs and if not the support team helps find a way to make it happen. Overall, my experience with ChMeetings has been wonderful! I'd highly recommend them over some of the other big names in the space because with ChMeetings I don't just feel like another number. Pros ChMeetings has a good support staff and development team. They get out updates and new features speedily and are quick to respond. The cost point is very competitive and the software gives you everything you need to consolidate to one piece of Church Management software. Cons Some of the more in-depth features are still lacking compared to some of the other main players in the Church Management software field. Because ChMeetings offers many different features, it takes some time to become familiar with the various functions, as well as the differences between the admin view and the member view. Once you understand how the system is organised and where to find information, it becomes much easier to navigate and use effectively. The time invested in learning the platform is well worth it, as it greatly improves efficiency in church administration and communication. Pros ChMeetings has truly transformed the way our church manages administration. It has significantly reduced the time spent on admin tasks and member data management. Member information is easy to find, making it much more efficient for our team to access the details they need. The roster feature helps everyone stay informed, and updates can be communicated quickly and effectively. Cons For all the cards in the portal, there is no way for me to just attach a pdf file, I only allow me to share a link from OneDrive or google drive. Also, there is no way I can just leave the visitors in a place that will not occupied the active member's number. As we get more familiar with it, our church is considering the addition of the personalized church app in the future. Pros Chmeetings has the ability to do so much. And if the ability isn't there, it gives the user the tools needed to create a system by which you can make whatever you need to do possible. Never have I seen a church management software with as much diversity and options as this one. Not to mention it makes navigating the software easy while at the same time not patronizing the user as if they were a child in need of a bib, nap, and a coddle. I feel confident in my ability to navigate the software and empowered to manage without the need for someone to hold my hand. And even if I did need further help, the customer service is responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I cannot recommend this product enough! Our members are genuinely happy with it and have had no issues so far. The ability to give tithes and offerings through the app is a huge plus. While we’re still setting up our PayPal account, we’ve been using a direct payment link, which has worked well. It really simplifies congregation management, and it’s amazing how easily members can check events and stay updated. Pros It's very user-friendly—I really appreciate how it includes accounting features to help manage church finances and track attendance efficiently. Cons Currently, giving is limited to PayPal and Stripe, but it would be great to have the option to integrate additional service providers like PayFast. I usually try to figure things out for myself but when I need help, someone is always available, and they are wonderful. Pros I like the ease of using Chmeetings. I especially like the great customer service and quick responses when asking for assistance or asking questions. Cons I do not like every day beginning a new batch number, but that is because I only balance once a week. I will try to set the new batch number weekly and see how that goes. I do miss the fact when I close one batch on Monday it immediately goes to the next number in order (142 to 143). I'm a work in progress so I need to get used to the changes.
