### "Accessally works best for smaller membership sites and LMS contents. "

It's not bad but nothing special really. We had to shift to another LMS and subscription plan app to jump to the next growth level.

Pros

Accessally is purely for Wordpress membership website with LMS features.

Cons

Lack of customization in reporting data and dashboard, limited integration capability including Hubspot, too heavy in the database server, and the membership site keeps on crashing.

Frequent downtime and server spikes even though we migrated to a larger cloud hosting and increase SSD and storage plan with auto-scale. The reporting function isn't what we're looking for. Doesn't integrate natively with Hubspot and our new subscription plan tiers.

### "So glad I chose AccessAlly"

Using AccessAlly has been a really positive experience. The software is powerful. The user experience for my customers is clean, intuitive and makes me look like I'm a much bigger, more established company than I am. Besides the software, which has surprised me with how good it is, the other great thing about AccessAlly is the people. I can't think of another company I've worked with that has so many people that seem to genuinely care about their customers and each other. One other thing that impresses me with AccessAlly is how quick they are to add feature suggestions to their roadmap and get them into production.

Pros

AccessAlly is feature rich. I regularly find that there's a feature I want to deploy. When I ask if it can be done, the team at AccessAlly is quick to respond and they almost always have the solution for how to accomplish it using existing tools. I am blown away by how powerful the software is. Honestly, for everything AccessAlly does, they don't charge nearly enough. This is mature software that can do a lot. Speaking of the team, that is another highlight. I love the team at AccessAlly. I have actually taken notes from my interactions with them so that I can replicate some of the things they do within my own company. AccessAlly made it easy for me to build a professional-looking training program. I recently sold about $35k of training to one customer. Of course, the customer's decision was partly based on my content. However, the content is delivered in a great format that was easy to put together thanks to AccessAlly. If AccessAlly hadn't helped me build a great site and learning experience, I would have never made that sale. I'm trying to think of how to explain how powerful the software is. From order forms to coupons to multi-level teams to custom dashboards to video-based courses - they make it easy for me to do almost everything I want to do. They even integrate with AWS for video hosting. Not just integrate. AccessAlly has built-in functionality that uses AWS MediaConvert to take MP4 videos and convert them to a streamable format.

Cons

The learning curve was higher than I expected. When I first went to deploy my site in 2021, I reached a point where I almost gave up. I explored hiring a certified AccessAlly developer. However, after a couple days away from the software, I got back into it and things started clicking. I was eventually able to get everything built and launched by myself. The biggest area AccessAlly could work on is explaining the overall data structure of how everything inter-relates. New AccessAlly admins need to quickly build a mental model of how things are working in the background, like understanding the difference between a product and an offering. The knowledge base and the task-based tutorials are good, but a more comprehensive high-level introduction would help beginners. There is one person on the customer success team that doesn't always read my support requests thoroughly and tends to wave off my diagnoses. When interacting with him, I find that I have to be patient, repeatedly explain my troubleshooting steps and keep pushing for him to take me seriously. However, everyone else on the team is so amazing, that it's worth putting up with this one individual.

Reason for choosing accessally

One of the biggest reasons I chose AccessAlly is that they manage subscriptions, billing, membership, course creation, learner progress, etc - everything all in one place. That has made it easy to setup my courses. I recently explored switching to LearnDash and was surprised at how disjointed that product is compared to AccessAlly. Even setting up quizzes is a pain in LearnDash because quizzes, questions, and answers all go in separate tables. With AccessAlly, quizzes are easily managed all in one place. I now have an even greater appreciation for the importance of having everything available in one tool instead of having to mash together several different plugins. LifterLMS appeared to be similar to LearnDash in that it required multiple plugins from various vendors. The amount of work required to get everything working together and then the amount of work required to troubleshoot any issues that come up (and figure out which plugin is causing the issue) was intimidating. By having everything in one place, AccessAlly made it easy. I honestly didn't appreciate how important that was at the beginning and now consider myself lucky to have gone with them.

### "Worst membership plugin I've ever used"

Sub-par. I switched systems quickly after realizing how unnecessary, bloated, and overpriced it is.

Pros

Literally nothing. The only feature that was appealing was that you could gray scale program icons to show members that they didn't have access which increases fomo for other programs. But even that took forever to set up because you have to custom create two sets of images to distinguish 'this color' means access and 'this version's color' means you don't.

Cons

I've used multiple membership plugins throughout my career and AccessAlly was by far the most expensive, confusing, and buggy plugin ever. It's bloated with features you don't need. It's crazy confusing - not user or developer-friendly at all. (Even my devs were likey this is awful.) It takes a TON of time to watch all the videos to understand how to set it up. And when I got to the last part which was integrating my payment processor I learned they couldn't take payment on your site... you have to buy another cart (and they're quick to offer an affiliate link) that pops up and takes people off of your site, and is really offputting to customers. My abandoned cart rates skyrocketed. I switched to memberpress and set it up myself without a developer... Oh and once you're set up on AccessAlly and stop payment all of your paid content is public and you have to start from scratch... They make it impossible to export members into a new system. But they wont hesitate to charge you a small fortune to import from another platform. I know several biz pros with memberships who switched off of accessally after realizing they wasted tons of time and money like I did.

I have been one of the first users of AccessAlly and it's been such a positive experience. The product has grown so much and they keep making it even easier and easier to use, always asking for feedback and new features that we would love to see. I love how the team is accessible and open to feedback and always keeping us up in the loop. It is often compared to MemberPress or WishlistMember but it's so much more than that.

Pros

What I like most is the flexibility of the product. When you have an idea for a course or membership program, with AccessAlly sky is the limit. Support is top notch with 3 support calls per month you can attend live and get your questions answered. I love that I don't need any other tool and I can use the tool not only as an educational tool but as a marketing tool as well to promote my other offers. I love that I can make it look however I want.

Cons

There is a learning curve. And I see and will keep saying that this is not a tool for do it yourselfers. I have been building membership sites since 1998 (in my corporate days) and I have used lots of tools since then. This is the most complete and comprehensive but with power and so many features, you need to spend time educating yourself to know how to take the mist advantage of it. it's the perfect tool if you want to create a unique experience for your students and members but you need to be able to hire it out or you'll likely get frustrated and say that the product is bad and clunky when it fact it's absolutely not.

Reason for choosing accessally

Because I had been working with DAP before wishlistmember and although they added more features it was still too confusing to use, they are adding features on a weekly basis it seems and it tries to do too many things IMO. I found it confusing and overwhelming to dive in. I love that AccessAlly has calls 3 times a month where you can go on a zoom call and get your Qs answered and also an amazing private group community that is very reactive and great support.

Wonderful. Gave been an Accessally user for almost a decade and have been blown away by the teams helpfulness, responsiveness, and how the product keeps evolving and expanding in really thoughtful, useful ways.

Pros

Thoughtfully designed, works seamlessly, great user experience, integrates easily with Ontraport, allows high level of design control and so many useful features, the most helpful customer support I've ever encountered - always willing to add suggestions to the dev queue, prompt, and super warm and helpful.

Cons

Check out not yet integrated with Apple or Google pay for easy payments, though I believe this is in development.

### "AccessAlly Helped Level Up My Business"

I'm thrilled with AccessAlly - it gives me just about everything I could hope for from a membership plugin, and I've been very impressed at the responsiveness of their team whenever I reach out with questions. You can't ask for much more than a solid tool and capable free support channel. I highly recommend AccessAlly if you're looking for a membership tool.

Pros

I love that this tool integrates with my wordpress theme, so I can still stylize my pages however I like - but it adds the functionality I need to hide/restrict certain pages, or sets of content based on the information I have in my CRM (native integration with Keap) about my prospects and customers. The built in ability to add objectives to each page makes it easy for my customers to track their progress, and feel good about the growth they're experiencing. I also appreciate the native directory function which lets my members create listings, and connect with other businesses. At the end of the day, having AccessAlly allows me to keep my membership area on WordPress, which means I can combine it with different plugins from the wordpress ecosystem to create an infinitely powerful and flexible site - that's just not something you get when you're working with a self-hosted tool like Kajabi or Thinkific.

Cons

The native video tracking feature is a little rigid - so I've resorted to using an alternative video hosting platform, coupled with a separate tool to track progress and consumption in individual videos.

Reason for choosing accessally

I chose AccessAlly because the consultant I was working with trusted it, and because I knew it had the built in LMS style features I'd want to support my virtual courses.

Excellent customer service and support! I hesitate to recommend AcessAlly 1000% for fear it will become too large and impersonal. 🤞🏽

Pros

We had tried ever other course platform we could find to launch our new education product and found them lacking in customization capabilities. We desperately needed a directory feature AccessAlly offered so we pulled the trigger. We got so much more! Not only is the platform customizable to our unique offering, they have real live people to help you every step of the way. Their team is responsive and supportive like no other! The team provides zoom meetings every month for troubleshooting, a Facebook group with other creators where the staff often answers questions, gives updates, and does polling for new features, certified experts you can pay for extra help, and their team will even do one-on-one coaching to help you refine your offering for a small fee. They constantly add new features based on what the customers are asking for. We have needed a lot of handholding and their training, support team and staff can’t be beat. They are nimble and accessible which is hard to find in the software development space.

Cons

I have requested they offer the ability to add more comment moderation tools and photo/video albums. I’ve been told it’s in development. Can’t wait!

Pros

The ability to set up different pricing structures, have league tables, set objectives, create quizes - all fantastic.

Cons

Can be a little frustrating, as for any complex technology, to learn how to use features - you can easily make mistakes and not realise why. HOWEVER, the help service is superb and always reply the same day.

You might say that makes my review biased, but the fact is that I've chosen to partner with this company after working with other WordPress plugins precisely because I think it's a great product with a top-notch team supporting it.

Pros

AccessAlly is fully featured and allows me to build highly customised membership sites. It might be overkill for a super simple site, but if you expect to grow, you can start small and know that AccessAlly can scale with you. The team that develops AccessAlly is very customer-oriented, and quick to respond with excellent support.

Cons

As a web developer, I love that the software is highly customisable, but I can see how that might present a challenge to someone non-technical.
